Hello Arris, you can please do a how powerful is PlasticMan cause everyone thinks his just a second rate or third rate stretch guy in the comics next to Mr. Fantastic and Elongated Man. Everyone don't know how OP his sometimes. Please Arris. Thank You.
I love the fact that Thrawn in the New Canon was mostly written by the same author who wrote most of his Legends stories, Timothy Zahn. It's also quite fascinating how Zahn also gave Thrawn's story in the new canon a slightly different approach, like his exile and affiliation to the Empire being now something he and his species previously planned
Thrawn's character in Rebels was the first time I was ever creeped out by a cartoon so I'm really glad to see him live action, played by the same actor.
Yes. His voice is creepy. I'm also glad it's the same guy. I think it's cool that Thrawn not only is strategic, but he trains to fight as well, unlike Trench, who couldn't fight. Very cool!!
8:34 In both Canon and Legends, Sy Bisti is not the native language of the Chiss. It's a trade language used in the Unknown Regions, and some Chiss, like Thrawn and Ar'alani, used it to communicate with other species. The Chiss native language is called Cheunh.
Thrawn has been a favorite of mine since I read the book series in the 90s. For me, he's the #3 villain in Star Wars, and I was excited when he became cannon in Rebels. I can't wait to see how they portray him in live action!
@@Scorpy666 what do you mean? The novels and Rebels? Still it's not live action. And if you haven't check them already, do yourself a favor and go watch Rebels. It's definitely as worth it as "Heir to the Empire"
Thrawn isn't really a "villain" anymore if you've read the new canon books, he's essentially only working for the Empire to make sure they never become a threat to the Chiss. He even tries to minimized casualties or being cutthroat unless it happens to coincide with keeping his true intentions hidden
I first came to know Thrawn as a kid playing the old strategy pc game Rebellion. From there I read online about him and then read the Timothy Zahn novels. I was bummed when Disney erased the EU but was excited when they came out with the Thrawn book series written by Zahn himself. Then he appeared in Rebels which greatly appeased me.
Well I have a theory that shin hati may be mara jade at least in cannon starwars I mean mara jade went from a imperial assassin to jedi master and so far we have not seen her in starwars cannon so I doubt we will see everyone favorite red hair jedi outside of legends but shin so far follows at least basics of mara journey of imperial assassin she is the apprentice of a dark jedi baylan who seeks to rescue thrawn from his exile and to me it looks like the only reason shin is rescueing thrawn is because of her master which mara was very loyal to darth sidious
disney: all works outside the movies are NOT CANON, they don't exist years later... disney: you see, *WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO CREATE NEW ORIGINAL SW CONTENT"* , so we're gonna use the old works, ... and now introducing fresh, original, never-seen-before and really totally NEW CONTENT for everyone to enjoy. very fresh. very ORIGINAL.
I read the original Thrawn trilogy when it first came out. The only Star Wars novel series I love(mainly read the comics), and was super excited when Thawn appeared in season 3 of Rebels. So can't wait for his live action appearance.
The Chiss Ascendancy trilogy is a “must read” as well as the books that come after the “Thrawn” book. He comes across much better than in the Heir to the Empire trilogy
The Grand Admiral is my favourite character in all Star Wars. First saw him in rebels as a kid (still am, but I'm older now 😅) then read the comic series in this vid
Thrones “it was so artistically done relates to his own death and the way that everything was moved against him and is him appreciating that he has been out thought an out maneuvered
Can you do the history of magneto, zorro, judge dredd, Cassie hack, qwenpool, hit monkey, vamperrella, moon girl & devil dinosaur and league of extraordinary gentlemen
I just hope the Thrawn Trilogy movies aren’t ruined by Disney. IMO the Thrawn trilogy should’ve been the true Episodes 7-9 and it would’ve given the franchise a chance to truly reboot with new actors, who look like the main characters, and carry it forward.
Boring. The reason I love Thrawn and think he is the greatest Star Wars villain is that he has no force powers, and can out perform everyone in the room, force powers or not.
Can you do history of Cyclone, Rhino, Sandman, Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, Scorpion and the Human Fly along with Kurt Connors the Lizard. Also can you do the history of the Flash Villains like Turtle, Magenta, Cobalt Blue, Mirror Master and Top?
Keep in mind he’s also like 70 and he’s been stranded and likely still suffering from injuries received at the tentacle of the Purgill that squeezed him and launched him into deep unknown space via hyperspace with a busted up control bridge. An old man enduring that much physical trauma wouldn’t likely recover near as well in most circumstances. A little weight gain seems practical and expected as he’d be less likely to be able to maintain his physical fitness.
Everybody else, as far as leader ship, is concerned in the empire is villainess or evil. The Thrawn is a superior gentleman. I believe that he has the ability to make the empire look like the good guys and that’s why he is feared by the rebels.
The only thing that really seems to make Thrawn a villain is that he chose to use the Empire and is efficient. He’s always trying to minimize collateral damage and casualties unless it’s absolutely necessary.
I need to rewatch rebels, but I wish they’d kept his personality more to the books. He’s not a bad guy really, he tries to avoid unnecessary casualties and he’s never cruel. He’s just on the antagonists side. I do wonder since the empire collapsed, if he’d still be on their side because all he really wants is an alliance against the Nikardun
So how long till you do history of Arno_Stark Iron Man, Ezekiel Stane, Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, Whiplash, War Machine and Pepper Potts AKA Rescue?
I petition that Force Awakens, Last Jedi, and Rise Of Skywalker be re-numbered episodes 10,11,12 since the shows are covering what should have been 7-9
What do you think is the best thing about Grand Admiral Thrawn in Star Wars Rebels and what do you think he's going to be like in the upcoming Ashoka_Tano Disney Plus show? Are we going to see what happened to Ezra Bridger?
Admiral Thrawn is arguably one of the most intelligent and ruthless villains in all of Star Wars besides Sidious, Tarkin, and Vader. I can imagine if Thrawn returned to power, he would've lead a manhunt to find Luke Skywalker. in Thrawn's mind, Luke is the only threat that stands in his way.
Since you did history of Marvel's Black Knight, Can you do history of Marvel's Dreadknight? If you seen the recent episodes of season 7 of the Flash, can you do history of Impulse, XS, Psych, Fuerza, Steadfast, Chillblaine, Abracadabra, Rainbow Raider, Mirror Master and Top in your next video?
Thrawn: "What can I do for you, Pellaeon?" Pellaeon: "Well, sir...I was thinking about our attack to recover Coruscant. About the millions of beings that will perish in the attack" Thrawn: "Is it any problem with that?" Pellaeon: "We are making this military campaign in order to create a powerfull government that will protect the galaxy from the Far Outsiders. But...If we kill all this people, what's the point of all of this?" Thrawn: "Listen, Pellaeon. If we don't attack Coruscant, the planet will suffer a far worse attack from the Far Outsiders in the future and the weak New Republic will unable to repel them. All these things we are doing are for the greater good." Pellaeon: "Even if that means destroying the most populated planet in the galaxy in cold blood?" Thrawn: "Sometimes, cold blood is the key to salvation Anyway, I am having dinner right now. Would you mind if we continue this conversation later?" Pellaeon: "I...No, sir" *Leaves the room in which Thrawn is dinning* Thrawn: "Would you mind passing me the salt, Thrass?" *Thrawn then realizes he is completely alone, grabs himself the salt and continues with his dinner*
Yoda's council is Adams council in exil they have sam objectives ...There can only be ine kill everyone in the universe and the suicide from lonliness.
Has the ability to do more with less considering the remnants of the Empire are scattered across the galaxy. Empire usually bullies its way through numbers but being a shell of its former self it needed a competent leader who could predict future events
correction it was not in the comic it was a book. the comic is based on the book. same bookwriter for i think every book thrawn is in i cant think of one it isnt.
Actually thrawn is human more or less. The chiss are descendants of a lost human colony. They were isolated long enough to have evolved into this form.
I don't like the fact that Thrawn was defeated by a Deus Ex Machina, and in the book (Thrawn, the novel version of the comics mentioned here) he hates waste, so he doesn't kill civilians unnecessarily. I didn't get that vibe from Rebels and towards the last season, he became generic, which is a shame as I liked the how Thrawn acted during his introduction. Ultimately I was hoping his loss to come from his subordinates, as that was how he fell in legends, and not some arbitrary space whales that showed up in one episode and we never heard of them ever again until the season finale.

Ascendancy Trilogy

8:35 Correction: Sy Bisti is not Chiss language. It's Thrawn's 3rd language, a common dialect used by merchants in the Wild Space.
Nice! I'm so thrilled to finally watch him in live action after all these years
You forgot it's disney now?
@@Scorpy666 what do you mean?
The novels and Rebels? Still it's not live action. And if you haven't check them already, do yourself a favor and go watch Rebels.

As a starter this was much needed coz I don't know much about Star Wars so this videos are much needed for the beginners like me.
Thrawn only wanted to save the galaxy and the Chiss from the Yuuzhan Vong. The entire galaxy must have missed him during the invasion.
Yuuzhan vong was a trash concept and felt more like star trek
@@cpenner7086 Besides that, what else is trash about them?
@@JamarD421pretty ugly to look at 😂
@@cpenner7086 More like Warhammer 40k to me. I didn't like it either but I prefer that motivation for Thrawn's character.

Yep Andor was really good
That right
Damn . That’s the only one I haven’t watched out of the new Star Wars shows
If they will do him right then it will be a pleasure to watch. His book version is 10/10, Rebels version 7,5/10.

Andor and Asshoka are fantastic. Boba and the last season of Mando stunk but Feloni killing it.
great job on that video man 100% done right

Andor is the best Star Wars content since empire. Nothing comes close to how good that is, as art.
I love his canon version more especially after listening to all 6 audio books
To be fair, before Disney bought Star Wars, the old books were considered canon. Only after Disney bought it, did it become "Legends".

Just got around to watching the episode last night. Was disappointed. Didn't expect a chubby Thrawn, must have been eating good while stranded.

Thrawn made an appearance in xwing vs tie fighter video game as well. I believe it was the Tie Defender expansion CD to be exact.
