JJ Abrahms: "Just have them say "Somehow Palpatine returned" or something like that. That explains enough" Dave Filoni: spends multiple episodes to explain why Thrawn is back
Thrawn said something towards the end of the finale along the lines of, 'For the Empire, for the security of our galaxy'. IMO, Thrawn knows the threats and horrors that lurk in the unknown regions, and perhaps he sees The Empire as the only hope of defending the galaxy. No doubt, he doesn't see a group of terrorists, pirates, malcontents and other various riff-raff of being capable of governing nor protecting the "known" galaxy.
From what I can remember in some "Legends" sources (and perhaps some cannon) one of the reasons Palpatine tolerated a Chiss "alien" as a commander in his (Palpatine's) otherwise "humans only" Imperial Galactic Fleet is because Palpatine was aware of greater threats from outside of a Galaxy Far, Far Away. Palpatine understood how intelligent, informed and militarily strategic the Chiss were and so Palpatine chose to align with Thrawn, and the Chiss in general, in order to protect and preserve the known galaxy.
That threat in legends were the Yuuzhan Vong, seems like they are going the route of Abeloth now, with Baylan looking for that greater ancient power and all
@@Preussenpenner In the new canon, I believe the Yuuzhan Vong is being replaced by The Grysk. Though, I don't know if SW will survive long enough to bring them into television or movies.
@@BalaamsAss Yuuzhan Vong are mindless organic attackers in EU. Not much different from Empire, forcing rule by brutal force. In the opposite to them Grysks are kinda like Palpatine. Firstly they start with training sleeping agents among their enemies to corrupt the system for them in education. With each new generation the agents get more and more radicial, more following their ultimate programming. These agents then invade education, goverment, entertainment, military of their enemy. As time goes on, the nation that once standing strong ground aganist Grysk, now is delusional, weak and supports Grysks by majority. The sleeping agents wake up too late to the real intentions of Grysk.
Assuming they have high level Nightsisters in those stasis pods they may be capable of battle meditation (a nice nod to Heir books), which may give him a edge against Republic forces once he link up with remnants forces under the command of Pellaeon.
Battle meditation, resurrection and stealth enchantments along remote controlling a few senators and doing some of those killing curses they tried on Dooku. The Nightsisters don't even need to leave the safety of Dathomir and no one is going to notice 40,000 people on some distant low tech planet.
@TopG371 Dude Filoni has writing credits going back 9 years! how long does it take to become 'seasoned' If 9 years is unseasoned then we should really hold Filonis work up against other writers who have a similar amount of 'unseasoning' If we ignore 7 out of his 9 writing credits to be super generous to him and say his first job was on Mando season 1 which is so generous its ridiculous and skips 20 years in the industry and 14 years as a director (none of which is seasoning at all lol) so he has only got 4 years under his belt and then compare him to poeple straight out of film school he still falls very short. In 4 years of Tarrantino being a professional (not skipping 20 years or his first 7 jobs in the roll) he had put out Resevoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, and Natural born Killers with story or writer credits. Hardly a fair comparison I know as he hadn't had the same level of time in the industry nor the hands on work with a legend like George Lucus but I think his work speaks for itself and that he overcomes the massive disadvantge this comparison places on him as an 'unseasoned' writer. Also if Filoni is so unseasoned why doesn't he have other writers to work out the rough edges? Are disney broke or is he too arrogant to listen to 'seasoned' writers if so he has no place in the Star Wars IP as its just too big to let someone so 'unseasoned' have so much output over the past 9 years. or 4 years as seasoning or whatever
I never knew how close Mandalore and Dathomir were so close (relatively speaking). Makes me wonder why I've never heard of any conflict between Mandolorians and Night Sisters if it happened.
because the night sisters know the reputation that mandalore has as a crusading force & warrior culture. you don't become as renown as the jedi & sith as a culture without a few galaxy wide crusades.
@@mysteryjunkie9808 Mandolorians love fighting things. I don't know how long the Night Sisters were there, but they would probably be an early target if they were at Dathomir back during the crusades.
In legends Clone Wars novels, there was a Jedi that went full Mando with armor and gear. His .. Adopted .. brother through the traditions of Mando. Ask the former Jedi about the Force and if anyone could learn it and could a 30year old newly knight Jedi that went Mando train others in the way of the Force. The Jedi replied that a majority of Mandos were in fact already force sensitive. His brother asked " How so ?" The Jedi stated, " Many of you are so Lucky it is unnatural and could only be by the guidance of the force they survive. Other than you guys tend to Push things with grunt body strength from my experience could only be moved if you were using force telekinetic, some of you could levitate things if your outlook change a bit. Then its your athletics ability through years of train where it should not be possible to keep up in melee with a Jedi master yet many of you can. The force is already with you, you just experience it differently than the Jedi and without falling to the darkside like the Sith." His brother reply, :" Ok can you help me cheat at a game of dice ?" Jedi, " Only if you by me dinner." 2.) For my head canon, on how close their planets are and want we know of the cultures. The Jedi left the night sisters alone cause they don't act as a unified military actions off their home world, and other than a rare few that leave the planet, tend to stay out of the Jedi way. And sticking to locations outside of the Republic overreach. --- in short they are not war lords sending the galaxy into years of conflict like the Sith or fallen dark Jedi do from time to time. . Also Dathomir is so hostile you have to be force sensitive with enhance athletic ability to survive let alone have a thriving life there. As for the Mandolarians, they stop having conquest crusades and just hire themselves off as tactical mercenary units. For planetary survival training along with hunting, Dathomir is a wonderful place to visit, just don't die there. I wouldn't put it pass some Mando clans are mix blood with night brothers or sisters. Since Jedi have a bunch of rules against training people in the ways of the Force in case they fall to the darkside. Any child or adult that is overly good at cheating in cards and to unbelievable at dice, Mando takes those people to the night sisters for training. 3.) My past two gaming shops would have characters that look down a snipper scope and Vader force choke their target's ankle/knee causing a twisted joint from stumbling, which slows down the whole group they are traveling with. Use Touch telekinetic to push/slam others into walls & floors passing it off as just brute strength. Deflect baster bolts with a lightsaber or vibro blade, use a magnetic polarize shield. Unlike a Gungan energy shield if it loses power it is still a useable metal shield to fight with. Marvel Captain America ricocheting his shield off of thing and still bouncing back to his hands is so unrealistic it can only be done with Jedi telekinetic.
I was reallly hoping for a post credits sequence or something at the end. Like Thrawn joining the business call of all those Imperial Remnant commanders and warlords.
Yeah imagined him saying these words on screen “I am Grand Admiral Thrawn. I have been away, but now I have returned. I know some of what has occurred. You will fill in the details of the rest when I come aboard. Rejoice, for the Empire will rise again.” The original quote included the word Captain referencing to Pellaeon but the reason why I removed that line is because i think it would him addressed the imperial warlords and their remnants as well as the Shadow council itself?
I am so excited to see a grand space battle between Thrawn and the new republic defence fleet. My only question is if this battle happens, how does the new republic still go down the road of further demilitarization.
I'm guessing thrawn will be building up power for a while after arriving in the star wars galaxy. And may avoid conlifict while restoring the imperial remnant to full power maybe even while the sequels are happening.
@@opcreeper100 or the reason why the first order was able to take so much territory so quickly was because thrawn came out of hiding and a combined fully repaired and functioning remnant with the first order fleet was what crushed the new republic
If Thrawn felt a bit intimidated when he learned that Ahsoka was Anakin's apprentice, wait until he finds out who Anakin's son is and that he's building his own Jedi Academy.
Though Anakin never trained Luke, formally. Perhaps Ahsoka shared her holocrons with him, but it's probably a paler substitute for the real deal. Luke lacks the ruthlessness that Anakin developed.
Thrawn's concern about Ahsoka was pretty clearly due to his familiarity with Anakin's battle tactics. There was a nice nod to the Clone Wars strategy of surrender-then-commit-war-crimes with the line that "There will be no negotiations with the apprentice of Anakin Skywalker"
I reckon the Nightsisters are gonna be the nu-canon equivalent of the Noghri, they'll serve as Thrawn's 'off the books' commandos in return for him getting them back home but will unexpectedly turn on him when they figure out that Palpatine was ultimately behind their extermination and take him out because he's the highest ranking of Palpatine's servants who's still alive. As for the other Imperials, I think Pellaeon's forces will definitely end up teaming up with Thrawn and we'll see a badass combo of Imperial and magical forces rip the complacent Republic a new one until Hera and Ezra rustle up a task force to go deal with them.
I think you're right, and the reason is to reduce the amount of CGI/expensive prosthetics they need. The senator who keeps antagonizing Hera is an obvious replacement for the Bothan senator who kept butting heads with Leia. Bothans look like werewolves, so having a regular human instead probably cut the budget by a couple hundred grand. Now replace ninjas who look like oversized humanoid cats with a handful of creepy looking but otherwise normal women, and that's at least a million from the fx budget they can spend on other things.
From a narrative perspective that doesn't make sense. So far the night sisters acted more like a replacement of Joruus C'Baoth. It is through them as an intermediary that Thrawn accesses the Force. Turning them into bodyguards would be significant downgrade of their role in the story. I suspect that at least some of the caskets contain night-brothers, some of which might serve as body guards. So far Thrawn didn't seem to need a bodyguard 24/7. Should he decide he does, we might see more of Cpt. Enoch (and some other night-troopers) in that role. That would be even cheaper, since the armour and helmets already exist and as long as they keep in the background (as bodyguards should) and don't speak, a poorly paid extra instead of an actual actor is enough to put them on screen.
A thought occurs. The Nightsisters can make things invisible with their magic. That means he could pull off some of the same maneuvers he did in the Heir books, if someone in production is read up on them.
Thrawn will very likely take advantage of every second he has before the NR starts taking him seriously. In fact, he may even have moles try to discredit Ezra and Hera when they try to warn people of Thrawn’s return. Every moment he can buy to assemble forces across the Galaxy gives him a growing force that the NR will soon be surprised to see right on their doorstep and within their own ranks.
Thrawn's strategy seems somewhat similar to Imperial Japan's at the beginning of WWII. Thrawn/Japan know/knew their forces can/could not match their respective opponents (New Republic/U.S.A.) in volume and firepower, so their strategies rely/relied on secrecy and surprise. Hit 'em quick, hit 'em hard. Take advantage of the resulting confusion and chaos.
@@skyden24195 You pretty much nailed most of his campaign against the New Republic in his Legends book trilogy. In fact, the channel Wizards and Warriors has some new videos breaking down that history.
@@SuperSaiyanD48 for sure. I realized that I had grouped both fictional and non-fictional to the same channel, but I figured you would know of the channel differences. Both channels are well produced.
Hey Alan, just wanted to say I myself and so many others just really, sincerely enjoy your videos. Thank you for all the hard work, and informative entertainment for the past few years. 🙂
Seems like they're setting up Thrawn for an "Heir to the Empire" demise. The great mothers find out that Sidious was responsible for the Night sister's demise on Dathomir, I presume some kind of tension would be already established between the mothers and Thrawn and they turn on him as a result.
I think learning about Palpatine's betrayal and perhaps Thrawn sacrificing a number of nightsisters is a needed combo. Maybe even sacrificing Dathomir itself for a potential hight reward win. I know he considers such matters and he would plan to have the nightsisters no longer a threat should such a "sacrifice" move be necessary in his eyes. So many possibilities though!
@@ForestRaptor would make sense. A betrayal of a group he’s known for years is something he would likely not see coming as the Great Mothers didn’t know what happened on Dathomir likely.
I liked that they had Morgen swear that she would give her live if necessary and not 5 minutes (who could have known) it got necessary. Almost like the Nightsisters betrayed her :D
In the scene where they turned her into the warrior witch, you could tell she had no idea what "reward" they were about to give her and was getting a bit freaked out. I was thinking, oh boy this is where she ends up badly.
Honestly, I was expecting one of them or all three of them to transfer their "spirit" into her body before the trip. It wouldn't have surprised me if their bodies were tied to the planet so much so they needed an escape body. Dathomiri witchery scares me XD @@fnunez
Just so we're clear, Thrawn didn't leave sooner *AT FIRST* because all those caskets needed loading. However, in episode 8, Captain Enoch tells him they're ready to go, and then they proceed to do absolutely nothing except wait for the trio of Jedi to get close enough to board. This is an example of Filoni's limitations as a writer being on display, because the trio would've never gotten any of them aboard Thrawn's ship if Thrawn had simply left once told they were ready, or even just raised the elevation of the ship by a few dozen metres, not even enough to put it in the stratosphere. This is without mentioning the fact that Ezra literally just.. teleports to a Republic ship after making it aboard Thrawn's. A very disappointingly executed episode.
In defense of the Ezra flying that Jedi shuttle. That is the same shuttle that Baylan Skoll used to fly around in during ep 1 of Ahsoka. Maybe he docked it in the Chimaera, allowing Ezra to find it and make his escape using said shuttle?
I wonder if they'll end up keeping Ahsoka in the new galaxy so they don't have to explain her absence in the sequel trilogy. If there is a season 2 of Ahsoka it might end up being about her setting up a new jedi order in the different galaxy, and Thrawn's return might be covered in Mandalorian season 4 or Book of Boba season 2 (not sure if that is happening).
I have been speculating the exact same outcome, that Ahsoka's destiny lies on Peridea and whatever it is that Baylan is seeking, not returning to the prime galaxy to take on Thrawn again. That's for Ezra and the other heroes, and hopefully (but not expecting) Luke.
I'm not sure that Thrawn had any specific plans aside from escaping Peridia. For that he was required to take the Mothers to Dathomir. So aside from reuniting with the Imperial remnant, learning the current state of the Galaxy and then he will start forming plans.
He already got a major brief from Morgan when she arrived in Peridia. Do not underestimate Thrawn's ability to ingest new information and be able to form a cohesive long term strategy with contingencies :) Going straight to Dathomir is step 0 of a plan that has been in the works in his mind for a long ass time. Morgan's updated state of the galaxy gives him the means to do that in the best way possible. And from there, well we are all speculating what kind of actions he might take.
I'm not saying that he doesn't have the bare bones of several strategies. But that's all he has, the bare bones. He has to join up with the Imperial remnant and repair the Chimera which is NOT battle worthy right now. @@ForestRaptor
@@misterevil1967 not to mention finding what kinds or resources the remnant has, ships and supplies and such. i doubt Morgan has that kind of tactical info
And likely Thrawn has no direct contacts and limited information. He's been out of the galaxy for close to a decade. It's strongly implied that there's almost no communication (perhaps the Great Mothers and Morgan through the Force, but little else). He has no access codes, no contacts, and has no particular idea as to where members of the Empire have rallied. He also has very limited information as to the events of the preceding decade. He knows that the Empire has fallen and the New Republic has taken over. Does he know of Operation Cinder? Does he know where Palleaon is hiding? Or how to contact him? Where the Empire's fleets and dockyards of? What the various warlords? Without too much idea as to what the next 'step' in the series is Thrawn likely has a period of information gathering ahead of him. He has to figure out what's gone on in the galaxy since he was exiled. He needs to make contact with his allies here, assess the tactical and political situation. Dathomir makes as good a place to do so as any. Isolated space, no major planets or strategic assets in the area. The only major planet has been glassed and there are perhpas a few dozen, if not hundred inhabitants there. He's free for several dozen light years in every direction and off major trade routes. So likely he has to spend the immediate future tracking things down and making contact. The Chimaera has taken considerable damage and attrition, he's short on crew and supplies. He's in no shape for an extended campaign or fight. Theoretically the Chimaera will stay 'around' Dathomir while Thrawn gathers information and makes contact - this could be outreach to the Chiss (whom are going to ironicallyb e easier to track down than the Remnant is), tracking down members of the Remnant.. But Palleon likely has no idea that Thrawn is back, much less how to get in touch with him. So for now Thrawn is on his own. which may fit his preferences. But his flagship needs a refit and likely time in a shipyard, his troops and crew are probably exhausted from thier long exhile and attrition.. He's not wanting to draw attention from the Republic in the short term future until he's ready for his reemergence. Then again I also think for the side of the Republic having Ezra show up saying Thrawn's back and there are space wahles from another galaxy something that will kick the Defense Force into paying a bit more attention and taking the circumstances seriously. Having a Jedi that was kidnapped by space wahles show up again will do that.
The parallel with Mandalore and Dathomir are pretty strong. I don't expect it to happen, but there is a very interesting possibility. The Nightsisters might come to realize that their ire is misdirected and that the Sith, and Sidious specifically, is the true enemy. Perhaps even Thrawn's loyalty to the Empire could be broken if he learns that Sidious intentionally sacrificed so many and has the whole resurrection thing going on. Unlikely, but it does seem a bit odd that all the main antagonists here have non-selfish motivations which do not actually align with Sidious. If Baylan wakes Abeloth.... I'd say all bets are off.
A very interesting theory and Thrawn having a revived nightsister army at his back, given the divided state of the imperial remnant, would certainly given him plenty of options. When it comes to allowing to probe and attack the new republic's weak spots to keep them off balance, while building up his own armies and resources in preparation for a grand strike, as well as bringing the various imperial warlords under his banner, it is simple Thrawn smart level plan to do so.
What I wondered was, if the agreement was to take the caskets back to the SW galaxy, why not already have them loaded before Elsbeth and crew arrived? They were both already on the planet. A 3 day load could have been expedited so that, upon the rescuers arrival, they could turn around and go back
I love the samurai/kung fu movie feel that Dave implemented. The scene between Thrawn and Morgan talking about the caskets, It almost sounds dubbed like an old Hong Kong flick.
Mandalorians vs Nightsisters would be pretty dope, not going to lie. Especially since it'd give us an excuse to see that good old Mandalorians vs Jedi fight all over again, but this time the Mandalorians get to let loose on dark side users
I wonder when Filoni started of thinking about getting Thrawn back. Did fan feedback make him regret having the purrgil take Thrawn and Bridger away like that? Stranding Ahsoka and Sabine seems to be the same concept, but with different characters. Perhaps he has a "marooned fetish"?
Morgan really grew on me as a character. I only wish that they gave her that stark white skin that all the other witches have in the Star Wars universe. She just felt sort of out of place, looking how “NORMAL” she looked. The actress who played her did an amazing job. While I wish Star Wars would stop undermining the effectiveness of a gut wound, I too want to see Morgan return in some sort of fashion. I felt bad for her! Thrawn has returned ONLY because of her efforts, and he casually tosses her to the side. The three fates seemed like they also were setting her up from the start too! I know not everyone has to have a happy ending… and I know Morgan is horrible… but perhaps this shouldn’t be the final final end for her character. Atleast have her show up as a zombie in the filoni movie!! 😂
so interesting thing i want to point out here is that the nightsisters are actually dathomiri, but morgan elsbeth is human, so she looks different for that rerason. We'll talk about it more in the next episode
HOLD THE PHONE... @9:36 Does anyone recall how the original plan to reintroduce Revan was to have him wake from a stasis pod, however the idea was scrapped, and Revan only ever made it to the rough draft of animation?
Well Thrawn has to offload his cargo and perhaps recover any imperial garrison personnel on the planet and only then depending on any deals that he made his plans could unfold. By useing the Hypernet he can call the Chiss and Pelion to get his ship fixed.
If Disney makes Abeloth canon, perhaps there’s a way to fix some of the problems with the Sequels. If the Palpatine we see in TROS was actually Abeloth possessing that body, it would still keep Anakin’s original Chosen One prophecy intact. Abeloth (in legends) was immensely powerful in the Force and was able to observe events outside of her prison. So she could have watched Palpatine over the years in order to play the role of him once he was defeated by Anakin. She’d lay low until the events of the Sequel Trilogy to make a move. But since she’s using a clone body of Palpatine she is limited in her powers. She discovers the dyad between Rey and Ben and tries to use it to boost her powers through this vessel, but is defeated by Rey. But during the events of (a potential) Ahsoka S2 and whatever else Filoni is cooking, we’ll see the real Abeloth emerge on Peridea, ready to return to the galaxy for vengeance.
Thrawn is a chess player in terms of tactics, the zombies in the coffins are essentially a huge army of pawns for thrawn to use in his strategy, which if you know anything about chess, players that utilize their pawns effectively like thrawn would always win by overwhelming odds.
the last time we saw Din and baby gogurt was talking to carson teva about jobs, looking into whats happening with thrawn and dathomire could definitely be one of the later jobs
It seems that we keep forgetting that Cal Kestis and Merrin (who is also a Night Sister) are still alive. I definitely think that they are going to fit into this series as well somehow.
What I am expecting was that after Thrawn will get out of exile, rebuild his empire slowly destroying the new Republic, but then the Nightsisters will realize that the empire was behind the attack on dathomir and maybe cause of this they will assassinate Thrawn....This will also tie up with star wars legends as well.
I don’t think the boxes are dead night sisters. I think those boxes are the coffins of the Chimera’s crew. A star destroyer has the crew capacity of the amount of caskets that we saw in the end.
I could see them making an adaptation of not only the Thrawn trilogy but also with the courtship of Princess Leia with the role of warlord Zsinj being replaced by Grand Admiral Thrawn although I could see them recanonize Jorus C’baoth but like you said the great mothers have taken his role. I do hope that we get to see Giliad Pellaeon joining Thrawn and being his second command along with Captain Enouch. I could Wayland being used as a second base next to Dathomir as part of Thrawn’s plans and then I could see the reunification of the Imperial remnants for his Camapign against the New Republic?
The Ahsoka series has its moments, but honestly Andor out does it by a lot. And honestly, they should have left Sabine as just a Mandalorian. She was badass enough as a Mandalorian, she didn’t need to be force sensitive to
I can’t help but imagine how the conversation between Hera and Xiono would be when she reintroduces Ezra to the Senate and tries again to stress the threat of Thrawn: Hera- Senators, allow me to introduce my revived friend and ally, Lieutenant Commander Ezra Bridger, who just returned from a distant Galaxy, stowed away aboard the personal Star Destroyer of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Chimera! I again express that the threat of Thrawn is serious, and we must prepare for his inevitable attack! Senator Xiono- General Syndulla, allow me to express that we are pleased to see Commander Bridger is indeed still alive and safely returned to our Galaxy; however, this is in no way proof that Grand Admiral Thrawn is also still alive! Just because Bridger is standing before us doesn’t mean anything regarding Thrawn; until we actually see or hear any definitive proof that Grand Admiral Thrawn is alive and a potential threat to the New Republic, there will be no military action taking place!
I think Thrawn is going to use Dathomir like Yoda used Dagobah, using one of Kujet's underground lairs possibly or something like that. Make it seem like everybody is all tripping out on shadows and whispers... meanwhile Abeloth gets the bbq warmed up and ready for a take over 😅
I think thrawn will reconnect with the other warlords as while he has an army of night sisters he only has one ship that can travel through hyper space and the chimera will likely be his base of operations so I think right he is just keep his end of the bargain with the great mothers and I am sure he will reconnect with Pelion which i am looking forward to seeing
BINGO!!!! You just cracked it. The upcoming movie and indeed the entire Feloniverse is about to be infected by a flood of resurrected Night Witches. Not zombies, full on, magick wielding/force using/powerful as heck Datho Witches baby!!! 3 for each ship? A coven of Datho Witches would surely boost force power and threat level of every ship they were on board. I'm really wanting to see this movie.
My guess is strategic placement of nightsisters behind new republic lines to pave the way for imperial invasion. If they can mind control and raise the dead, then they will cause havoc
@GenerationTech what do you think is going to happen with the blade of talzon? Will ahsoka wield it? If she does you think she could coat it with the light side of the force like the green flames?
Thrawn said something making bringing back the Empire equal to bringing order. Knowing that at that time the Imperial remanents had almost no army but the New Republic have A LOT, are we sure Thrawn plan isn't about convincing the New Republic to go imperial again?
Wouldn't the thread of destiny have told the sisters that THRAWN would be coming to wake them up anyway? If so that's why the others are in hibernation chambers instead of being buried. I would think.
The night sister thralls maybe aren't effective in an open field, but if they swarm into say a Republic ship, they could take out everyone, leaving the way clear for Thrawn to seize the ship.
Imagine if he had entire legions of not just Night Troopers but also from other battlefields and other planets they go to since they have the Night Sisters! Imagine how they could go to worlds where the Ancient Sith Worlds were at and bring them to life but also worlds where there were wars with battlefields during the 1000 years of peace but also soldiers from the Clone Wars but also from the Galactic Civil War! Imagine how big his military would be with all those troops and all! That'd be sick! I mean how would that not make any sense and all? Imagine how powerful he would be with that?
Thrawn knows that the Grysk are going to make an attempt to conquer the galaxy. He prefers the Empire because of the weapons and technology it holds, and the Empire is willing to go through extreme lengths to do so
Can you do Young Jedi Adventures? 😂 I wanna see you do young Jedi adventures. Seriously. Allen you have the BEST Star Wars content on You-Tube by far. The D+ should be paying you.
I'm sure Thrawn has assets we haven't seen yet. Palleon probably knows of many things the shadow council doesn't that Thrawn entrusted him with. I don't think we haven't seen Thrawns full hand yet now that he has returned to the galaxy.
wow nailed it I think, if it is zombies I will be disappointed but you are the first I found to suggest these might just be stasis pods....very intriguing idea, I played SWG from 2003-2008 I think and I still play a version someplace from time to time, there they had 2 Nightsister theme parks (one was Singing Mountain Clan) and back then, they used force powers on you because video games and I am unsure if their magic was pondered too deeply back then, but I always had a fascination with them, I do hope you are right.
Put on a shirt! Nah only joking we all like a little chest. But in all seriousness what I can say about your channel and content whether good or bad you give a good/logical approach to each video. You keep that Star Wars magic alive with your breakdowns and lore. Please keep it up.
If Thrawn brought nothing but his leadership to the Imperial Remnant, these Imperial warlords, except Palleon, will have excuse to not follow him by bringing up his defeat at Lothal. But if he brought something to the table like, I don't know, a horde of Nightsisters and Nightbrothers, they may actually agreed to join his cause. Also, do you think the Outer Rim will eventually be divided between the Dathomirians, the Mandalorians and the Twi'leks? After all, the Third Republic's presence there is basically little to nothing.
Love this channel. I'd love for you to do a video on possible replacements for Ray Stevenson since his story is NOT over and at this point a second season will happen. I mean if there isn't a 2nd fans will flip their shit. ❤
Shower, shave, good meal, fresh uniform, chimera at the top of the queue for repairs, shooting any substandard officers he has had to endure all this time, catch up on all the fleet mail...
Another question...What is the cause of the odd effects when the Eye of Sion departs from hyperspace? Normally the ship just appears without any sort of visual effects, but not this one.
You know the whole cargo transfer thing is kinda dumb to me. If the great mothers knew that Morgan was on her way they could have told thrawn and he could have started the transfer while Morgan was en route. Then if he needed to buy more time he could had just played out the same scenario of sending sebine far away and when she was far enough away he would had probably been almost done and then left before Ashoka could even have a chance to stop him. I mean it only makes sense if he was in such a rush.

Hopefully the sequel trilogy gets retconned
@@Preussenpenner the Yuuzhan Vong. Thanks, I could not remember what that threat was.
I think Thrawn will use the Nightsisters to bring chaos to the New Republic, while he will offer them order by going back to the Empire ways
Isn’t battle meditation like exactly what they did in episode 7?
@@OdetteM00 Battle Meditation is basically a luck buff for an entire army/navy so they are more accurate and can evade attack.

@TopG371 Dude Filoni has writing credits going back 9 years! how long does it take to become 'seasoned'
If 9 years is unseasoned then we should really hold Filonis work up against other writers who have a similar amount of 'unseasoning'
If we ignore 7 out of his 9 writing credits to be super generous to him and say his first job was on Mando season 1 which is so generous its ridiculous and skips 20 years in the industry and 14 years as a director (none of which is seasoning at all lol) so he has only got 4 years under his belt and then compare him to poeple straight out of film school he still falls very short.

Makes me wonder why I've never heard of any conflict between Mandolorians and Night Sisters if it happened.
because the night sisters know the reputation that mandalore has as a crusading force & warrior culture.
you don't become as renown as the jedi & sith as a culture without a few galaxy wide crusades.
what about Yavin? what if the mandalorians go to Yavin and the nightsisters reign hell on that planet and it's moons?
Why would they?
His brother asked " How so ?"
The Jedi stated, " Many of you are so Lucky it is unnatural and could only be by the guidance of the force they survive. Other than you guys tend to Push things with grunt body strength from my experience could only be moved if you were using force telekinetic, some of you could levitate things if your outlook change a bit. Then its your athletics ability through years of train where it should not be possible to keep up in melee with a Jedi master yet many of you can. The force is already with you, you just experience it differently than the Jedi and without falling to the darkside like the Sith."
His brother reply, :" Ok can you help me cheat at a game of dice ?"
Jedi, " Only if you by me dinner."
2.) For my head canon, on how close their planets are and want we know of the cultures.
Maybe that’s how the movie starts
Imagine Gideon survived, joins another call, mocks Thrawn for not being there. Then Thrawn pops up.
@@HolyknightVader999He's... he's standing right behind me isn't he.

@@neofulcrum5013 I would be quite arrogant for the republic.
What if Thrawn just destroyed a bunch of ships and the New Republic never built more?
If Thrawn felt a bit intimidated when he learned that Ahsoka was Anakin's apprentice, wait until he finds out who Anakin's son is and that he's building his own Jedi Academy.
Though Anakin never trained Luke, formally. Perhaps Ahsoka shared her holocrons with him, but it's probably a paler substitute for the real deal. Luke lacks the ruthlessness that Anakin developed.
@@orokusaki1243Yeah, I think you might be right. Thrawn should be more worried about Anakin’s daughter and that temper of hers! Lol
@@jetblast190 Kicking wookiees into garbage compactors! 🤣
I was just saying this yesterday. He's about to shit his pants and just throw his hands up like Jar Jar "I surrender, I surrender" 😂
If they had one Noghri, they can get more, they don't need to just swap the entire race out fror Rukh
A thought occurs. The Nightsisters can make things invisible with their magic. That means he could pull off some of the same maneuvers he did in the Heir books, if someone in production is read up on them.
There already was a Noghri that Thrawn had under his employ. If I remember correctly he was killed by The Ghost Crew.
That hint about Gideon only hearing rumors from “one end of the Galaxy to the other” was a nice Easter egg for where Thrawn really was
When thrawn talked to Ahsoka gave me chills when he said that he knew her master and “long live the empire”

A betrayal of a group he’s known for years is something he would likely not see coming as the Great Mothers didn’t know what happened on Dathomir likely.
can’t wait for the bombshell of a line,
“Somehow Thrawn returned”
I liked that they had Morgen swear that she would give her live if necessary and not 5 minutes (who could have known) it got necessary. Almost like the Nightsisters betrayed her :D
In the scene where they turned her into the warrior witch, you could tell she had no idea what "reward" they were about to give her and was getting a bit freaked out. I was thinking, oh boy this is where she ends up badly.
they did seem a little... miffed? dismayed? they def didn't feel her die and where like " oh good" but more so " damn this is not good"
Honestly, I was expecting one of them or all three of them to transfer their "spirit" into her body before the trip.
Meh, just make "Thrawn" show, he deserves it.
might have her dealing with Abeloth and could have her killed/one with the force
I have been speculating the exact same outcome, that Ahsoka's destiny lies on Peridea and whatever it is that Baylan is seeking, not returning to the prime galaxy to take on Thrawn again. That's for Ezra and the other heroes, and hopefully (but not expecting) Luke.
The celestials could be reborn
Anakin = The Father
Ahsoka = The Daughter
Baylan = The Son
She won’t be there that long. She should make it back by episode 3 or 4.
You have officially spent more time thinking about this show then they spent writing it
I think it would have been cool if capatain pealeon and an emperial fleet would have waited for them on dathomir.
Yes and they say “Long live the Empire” as they see him
I'm not sure that Thrawn had any specific plans aside from escaping Peridia. For that he was required to take the Mothers to Dathomir.
So aside from reuniting with the Imperial remnant, learning the current state of the Galaxy and then he will start forming plans.
He already got a major brief from Morgan when she arrived in Peridia. Do not underestimate Thrawn's ability to ingest new information and be able to form a cohesive long term strategy with contingencies :)
Going straight to Dathomir is step 0 of a plan that has been in the works in his mind for a long ass time.
I mostly hope for a Thrawn series next.
Morgan doesn't just have a gut wound she also has a skyscraper on top of her.
These recent shows diving into the new republic really make me love the sequels, for the simple fact the first order blowing up the capital plant
Really enjoy your content. It's not ridiculously judgemental like alot of these other channels.
Dude, night sisters in cryo-stasis are much more powerful than the undead. Great theory. You’re the first one I heard mention that one.
What I wondered was, if the agreement was to take the caskets back to the SW galaxy, why not already have them loaded before Elsbeth and crew arrived? They were both already on the planet. A 3 day load could have been expedited so that, upon the rescuers arrival, they could turn around and go back
power drain maybe?
like they were being powered were they were and didnt want to change them to be draining the Chimera's power grid
As much as I love the ahsoka show, I definitely prefer andor, just wondering if anyone else agrees
I agree
I hope there is room for both types of shows.
Andor is realistic perfection. Ahsoka is mystical and full of star wars wonder. Two totally different vibes
Agreed, it’s not close to me.
I dunno I always feel Filoni’s writing is close to greatness, but never actually reaches it.
@@89DienekesWell, no one is perfect. Not Lucas, not Filoni, and DEFINITELY not Rian Johnson.
"The three fates" makes me think of The Norns, also in Norse mythology like the wolves.
Three women is a multi-cultural thing. Not just the Norns but the Hecate as well.
Thrawn is only able to play Chess because the mothers allow it.
the coffins are nightsisters and will turn on him once he's served his purpose.
the last time we saw Din and baby gogurt was talking to carson teva about jobs,
looking into whats happening with thrawn and dathomire could definitely be one of the later jobs
Hopefully those strategies of his will improve after that isolation in the new galaxy
It seems that we keep forgetting that Cal Kestis and Merrin (who is also a Night Sister) are still alive. I definitely think that they are going to fit into this series as well somehow.
=maybe= still alive :x
What I am expecting was that after Thrawn will get out of exile, rebuild his empire slowly destroying the new Republic, but then the Nightsisters will realize that the empire was behind the attack on dathomir and maybe cause of this they will assassinate Thrawn....This will also tie up with star wars legends as well.
The cloning arc in Mando plus the reanimation of the dead in Ahsoka makes me think this is the “somehow” in Palpatine returning
Just kinda hoping when we see the Chimera again, its been fully refurbished but keeps the hyperspace ring, looks just so good.
I think we see Ezra in Mando S4 and we dont see Ahsoka or Sabine until Ahsoka season 2
I will say if I ever start my own Jedi order you’d be the master of the order sir!
Good Job on 800K Gen Tech!
I don’t think the boxes are dead night sisters. I think those boxes are the coffins of the Chimera’s crew. A star destroyer has the crew capacity of the amount of caskets that we saw in the end.
Those boxes might just contain Nightsisters. They might also have Nightbrother warriors as well.
I wonder if all the caskets/chambers are Filoni's take on the Dark Force that Thrawn raises?
We need a thrawn series
I could see them making an adaptation of not only the Thrawn trilogy but also with the courtship of Princess Leia with the role of warlord Zsinj being replaced by Grand Admiral Thrawn although I could see them recanonize Jorus C’baoth but like you said the great mothers have taken his role. I do hope that we get to see Giliad Pellaeon joining Thrawn and being his second command along with Captain Enouch. I could Wayland being used as a second base next to Dathomir as part of Thrawn’s plans and then I could see the reunification of the Imperial remnants for his Camapign against the New Republic?
bring on the Hapan Battle Dragons!!
I can't wait to see how the Thrawnflict starts.
I think Thrawn will be the main antagonist of The Mandalorian Season 4.
The Ahsoka series has its moments, but honestly Andor out does it by a lot. And honestly, they should have left Sabine as just a Mandalorian. She was badass enough as a Mandalorian, she didn’t need to be force sensitive to
Everyone look under your seats!
You get force powers! You get force powers! You get force powers!!
I can’t help but imagine how the conversation between Hera and Xiono would be when she reintroduces Ezra to the Senate and tries again to stress the threat of Thrawn:
Hera- Senators, allow me to introduce my revived friend and ally, Lieutenant Commander Ezra Bridger, who just returned from a distant Galaxy, stowed away aboard the personal Star Destroyer of Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Chimera!
The new republic suffers the same senator problems that the old republic had
I think Thrawn is going to use Dathomir like Yoda used Dagobah, using one of Kujet's underground lairs possibly or something like that. Make it seem like everybody is all tripping out on shadows and whispers... meanwhile Abeloth gets the bbq warmed up and ready for a take over 😅
I wish Disney would focus more on ‘why’ Thrawn. As great as Thrawn is he’s still missing a lot of characterization in these series.
Thrawn wants some spinning gold rims for his star destroyer
Wouldn't the thread of destiny have told the sisters that THRAWN would be coming to wake them up anyway? If so that's why the others are in hibernation chambers instead of being buried. I would think.
The night sister thralls maybe aren't effective in an open field, but if they swarm into say a Republic ship, they could take out everyone, leaving the way clear for Thrawn to seize the ship.
Thrawn took their royal highnesses' matched luggage. They won't leave without it!
My hair, you shot my hair...
I think the nightsisters are the new noghri and will betrayal Thrawn after they served him.
I was thinking the same thing. And as he dies at their hands, he’ll say “but it was so artistically done”
The scene with the hangar full of cascets reminded me a lot of the end scene of the story mode/campaign of "Empire at War - Forces of Corruption" 🤔
I'm still in shock that Ezra went home *without* Ahsoka *or* Sabine *or* any of his new friends. (or even Huyang)
Thrawn knows that the Grysk are going to make an attempt to conquer the galaxy. He prefers the Empire because of the weapons and technology it holds, and the Empire is willing to go through extreme lengths to do so
Carson and Hera are going to be key figures in the formation of the Resistance, I think.
Interesting that Wayland is right there next to Dathomir and Mandalore as well. Depending on how closely they follow books that could be important.
Well wayland is canon now because of bad batch
@@GenerationTech precisely. Could factor into the interconnected story going forward if they choose to have Thrawn head there as in the novels
Pelleon & Morgan’s Hyperdrive Warp Ring was Project Necromancer
Can you do Young Jedi Adventures? 😂
I wanna see you do young Jedi adventures.
Seriously.
Allen you have the BEST Star Wars content on You-Tube by far.
The D+ should be paying you.
Thrawn plays it smarty and does reveal his hand till he ready to strike
Clone zombies use the blasters and the explosives to breech the door.
15:55 yea but Thrawn is big brain time sooooo
I don’t know but if I’m Ezra I would get the Republic Fleet to capture the Eye of Sion asap.
The nightsisters coming back was my dream
quick math, on the scene with hangar there is over 6000 boxes, aroun 6300/400
I've thought from the start that these were live Nightsisters, frozen in carbonite. Ya know, to ensure freshness.
Love this channel. I'd love for you to do a video on possible replacements for Ray Stevenson since his story is NOT over and at this point a second season will happen. I mean if there isn't a 2nd fans will flip their shit. ❤
Love your vid I been watching you as a kid
Shower, shave, good meal, fresh uniform, chimera at the top of the queue for repairs, shooting any substandard officers he has had to endure all this time, catch up on all the fleet mail...
Grogu better learn to talk soon so he can tell Mando Dad a bunch of Force Witches are coming for us.
Another question...What is the cause of the odd effects when the Eye of Sion departs from hyperspace? Normally the ship just appears without any sort of visual effects, but not this one.
Why didn't Thrawn already have the caskets loafed? Why did he need to wait for the scion in order to begin the transfer...
You are the best keep up the good work
Allen, You are correct. Morgan swore the oath to be tied to the planet. Anyone who learns the magic can bring Morgan back as a Zombie.
A platoon of Carsons and tactical blueberries could stop the encroaching threat of night sisters.
Glory to the Empire!
