      @mill2712 Рік тому +12

Yes Zsinj was given the rank of warlord which another comment pointed out was a person who held military and political command. I think something similar to a head of state. It apparently is like a mix between Grand Admiral which is military with some political power and Grand Moff which is political with some military power.

I wouldn't call Syn 'mediocre' at all. He rose through the ranks to admiral via merit and zeal. Ackbar himself admits that it was only through the Bothan's sabotaging two of Syn's Interdictor cruisers as well as feeding the Grand Admiral false Intel about being able to expect reinforcements fromHigh Admiral Teradoc that Ackbar was able to win the battle of Kashyyyk against Syn. That's high praise coming from the best commander the New Republic had.

    • @HonestHappyHater

IIRC Thrawn, Takel, Makati, Grunger, Pitta, Syn, Grant and Pellaeon.
Thrawn can be a leader for the Imperial Remnant, Pellaeon can be a leader for the Imperial faction that forms Dark Empire, Makati and Takel appear as heroes for the Imperial Remnant, Grunger can appear as a hero for any Imperial faction (he is one of the "smaller" warlords, integrable through the political tab), Pitta and Syn are independent warlords and Grant starts off as a hero for the Pentastar Alignment, but in later era starts he can be recruited by the New Republic through the political tab

Recently some heroes got "warlord" tags, which means thaf they have to be killed in order for a faction to be integrated. I'm not sure if Grant and Syn got those tags, but if they didn't, then with some hustle the Imperial Remnant could integrate all of them except Danetta Pitta at some point.
As Imperial Remnant progress to Thrawn, integrate the Pentastar Alingment without killing Grant, allow Greater Maldrood to capture Kashyyyk before anyone else (if they do that, they'll get Pecatti Syn as a hero), defeat Greater Maldrood without killing Syn, integrate Josef Grunger through minor warlords integration (purely RNG-based), form Dark Empire and progress all the way to Pellaeon

Ok, I've checked a few things.
As IR you can have Octavian Grant, Pecatti Syn, Mitlin Takel, Rufaan Tigellinus, Afsheen Makati, Josef Grunger, Mitth'raw'nuruodo and Giliad Pellaeon.
The good news is Grant and Syn are not "warlords", so you can integrate them by letting GM take Kashyyyk and then integrating GM and PA without killing the two admirals.
The bad news is, Grunger is still 100% RNG.
The even worse news is that you can't do a grand reunion of the grand admirals, as you can't have them all at once. Rufaan Tigellinus and Mitlin Takel are mutually exclusive with Afsheen Makati. Two first ones are obtainable by deposing Sate Pestage in favor of Trioculus, while the last one will join you if you back Ysanne Isard instead. The only way to get Thrawn is to have him overthrow either Isard or Trioculus (whichever you helped to take control), but Tigellinus will die if Trioculus is deposed.
To get Pellaeon you need to just form the Dark Empire, get rid of Sidious, get rid of Carnor Jax, get rid of Natasi Daala and you'll get him as grand admiral.
You'll get the most grand admirals if you back Trioculus against Pestage and form Dark Empire without recalling Thrawn from Unknown Regions, but then you'll be missing out on Thrawn

At least Zaarin made the beaut that is the Legends TIE Defender (sorry not sorry, Disney Alt-universe Thrawn and his nerfed T/D version), which then resulted with the uber-schway King Hell God Starfighter of Death/Missile Boat. Him being a main center of a great Star Wars video game sequel also helps... if only Squadrons had an antagonist/supporting protagonist just like him.
Shame you didn't mention Teshik's eerily foreboding pre-mortem visions of the past and the future (though I still complain of the apocryphal Second Galactic Civil War being part of the latter).
If only Batch's research and tech evolved space warfare permanently. The likes of Stealth-Xs being exclusive to Force sensitive Jedi pilots is just a huge waste of potential. (Then again, this may be my anti-Rebel Assault bias showing. Believe me, those games have aged like unpasteurized milk.)
Woe to the GAs who had to be unfortunate participants in the Jedi Prince books.
Won't lie, Grant is one underrated motherkriffer out of all the GAs. Pity he didn't go back to the fray in the dark Yuuzhan Vong War.

He was only from the books before, and was from the books which Rae Sloane was in. It would be impossible to get that character without someone involved also knowing who Sloane was. He made a whole book irrelevant and changing how a character survived Order 66. And more relevant to this video, Rae Sloano only really being mentioned as a Grand Admiral in the aftermath books and the Squadron video games.
