Another fantastic video, thanks for the shoutout on my NL deredeo! I often run two plasma deredeos with ailos launchers and they're 9 times out of 10, my MVP's. The str8, rending 4+, large blast removes huge swathes of elite infantryand the ailos provides decently reliable pinning, without the need for LoS. The best thing about them is how consistently underestimated they are, I've had opponents say things like 'Oh plasma, how quaint!", then be measuring maximum unit coherency by turn 2.
I’m adding them to my Decapitation Strike, preferred enemy against Death Star units would come in clutch I reckon. That and the one Heavy slot- anything which is a robust choice with multiple uses is good 👍 I’m planning to mag between plasma and las (I’m a bit light in anti armour).
You don't stack pinning checks, its one per unit shooting at a given unit. So if the Deredeo causes a wound with each of 3 different pinning weapons its still one pinning check. Obviously havng three pinning weapons would all but guarantee a pinning check is needed but statistically any one of these weapons is extremely likely to cause a wound against power armour anyway. In a way the ubiquity of the Aiolos makes the Volkite worse since it would likley cause a pinning check on its own and thus it is killing power you need from the main weapon and the plasma does it better against even sol aux (save for a tiny range advantage). If the Boreas was more useful or dare i say it we ever got the pavise then taking the Volkite weapon for pinning might have a use.
Great video thanks for the delicious free sample. Picked up the battleforce and thinking of starting a Space Wolves force with plasma and ailos hat deredeo. Another thing not to miss is deredeos can be run in ZM lists and those 5 inch plasma blasts go up to s9!!!!
I was understanding the Alpha Legion rule simply made them 2" further away rather than classifying them as shrouded? So it would be of use in that situation?

Thanks for posting this Your tactica is great for new players who haven't used it I've run 1 in 4 games Never died but wasn't always considered the main threat I have a 2nd for variance I either take this or a leviathan or something else for AT I run a Las Cannon deredeo option mainly It's hit n miss On paper it looks good but two shots isnt enough at times Other times it will take something out Taking two starts to add up in points I have the plasma and auto cannon options and plasma is okay I run the standard missle launcher The AA missles are pointless I run this in my massive Alpha legion We use alot of flyers in NZ But it's only taken out one flyer in a game lol It's situational etc as you discuss regarding the arrays Cheers
i had a moment thinking the Borealis had an extra use of hunting Javelins and the like, but seemingly those don't have the skimmer rule these days? Shame, as that would have been an amazing alternate use of the air defense missiles, and kind of fitting

There is an awful lot that goes into producing the shows and we’d love to do more, but we’re already pushed for time. We produce two main shows and then the two bonus shows over on the Patreon a month and that is about our threshold currently, but watch this space!
