Food presentation has always been an integral part of eating & cooking. Just because you hate the term (I do too, I really do) doesn't mean it's bad to admit it's part of the consideration.

I mean, it's not so much his personality or that he's boring, he's not giving us any insight. For someone who's a "Food Insider", the reviews lack detail. Describing something as flavorful, really good, or looks good doesn't tell me anything. I can see it looks good, and "flavorful" can mean anything. What flavors EXACTLY are you experiencing?? And ok fine, it's "really good" but whyyyy? Explain what it's doing to your palate, don't just give me vague senseless descriptions that add nothing to this video. I can't believe these people get paid to say nothing. Hey Food Insider, hire me! I'm cute, I'm funny, I already travel for food, and I know how to edit/write and paint a picture for the foodie's mind!

My dude... its fries. You don't have to have some complex explanation for flavor profiles. Again; its fries - I could care less if it could win a beauty pageant or not. You're trying too hard.
Absolutely. Potatoes are only made for one thing - to be eaten. This is certainly not a beauty contest. Put a plate of fries in front of the right person and they won't remember what they look like anyway in a very short amount of time.

Except he didn't go into flavor profiles which probably would've made it interesting. He was too focused on the appearance. The only things he said about flavor was the most vague shit like "really good", "flavorful", "I'm biased, I love curry", "not too spicy", "might have beetroot", "works well together". None of this is meaningful or inviting. Just bland commentary. If you watch Bon Appetit, Munchies, First We Feast, or even Thrillist, they talk about the food and the flavors in a way that makes you want to put your face through the screen and take a bite. That's what good food commentary should do, it should suck you into the experience.

YeZZir let em know, I like to make carne asada fries myself, its slamming, I add marinated rib eye that I slice into strips, fresh home made guacamole, and sharp cheddar cheese, it's an epic combo of flavors.
My friend that lives in Scotland has never heard of a burrito or taco. None of it lol.

I love garlic fries w/blue cheese dressing on them. But my favorite is cheese, jalapeño & bacon fries. So good. And I’d happily try all of those. I wish we had a fry only place here
His reviews were great!, but his dull personality and monotonous voice killed the video for me. Try to be more hyped up and happy next video even if you are not. Thats what most hosts do anyways

I don’t understand why there’s so much backlash towards the host in the comment section.... he was perfectly fine..... he addressed all he aspects of the fries including how the look and the taste. Quite a few people do care about the instagrammable factor and he addressed that as well briefly, why is it such a big deal. It was a nice quick video about the food and I don’t think he was dull either. You can’t expect all the hosts to be over enthusiastic and the same basically.

As a fries-addicted person, I'm definitely moving there.
If you made a negative comment about the host never say that you support the fight against depression or would "stay up with a suicidal friend all night" to talk them down. The man is clearly afflicted by the dread of existence and doesn't need hundreds of comments colorfully telling him how incredibly awful it is for you all to have to watch this video he's in. Except you don't actually have to watch it. But you got bored and went to the comment section; you saw that its popular here to bash the host and wanted to see how creatively you can bash him too. Hi guys for doing loaded fries only as takeaway option, how can we melt the cheese in container ? Or we have to melt the cheese chips in oven in metal skillet then transfer to takeaway ? Is there a way to melt cheese in any type of container ?

fries are not usually a side dish.. well they are in america but if you come to belgium the actual land where fries were made you have 100s of these restaurants also in the netherlands you can find really good fries for your main course

If you live in Los Angeles, try the great white hut. Holy f***, it was right next to campus and it was always hard to resist temptation. Needless to say, i gained a lot of weight. But it was definitely worth it.
