- Ground House Burger in Santa Ana offers a Fry Roulette on their menu that comes with six sides and 12 sauces. The sides include classic French fries, sweet potato fries, seasoned fries, waffle fries, onion rings, and tater tots. While they still have classic sauces like ketchup, ranch, and barbecue sauce, they also added sauces like wasabi crema with jalapeño, Thai chili, and teriyaki aioli. INSIDER's Caroline Aghajanian went to try the Fry Roulette for herself and see if it was really worth the hype.

Burger Joint Serves A Fry Roulette With 72 Combinations
For $40, I can order fries from McDonald’s, In & Out, Burger King, Habit, Five Guys, Carl’s Jr, Arby’s, Sonic, Chick-fil-A, and Wendy’s, and still have money left over for a burger and a large drink.

You can re-create the roulette experience too, with a lazy susan (ask your local Chinese restaurant where to get one of those).
in germany you can get 8 döners or currywurst with a small drink with that money
That should actually tell you something about how the animals for the food are treated.
You should at least take the materials to make the roulette container and the labor cost into account..
I love how we all collectively agree that $40 is an insane amount for that.

I wouldn’t call that a “couple” sauces, and unless a 3x pant size is too small for you I highly doubt that you could eat all of that on your own like you eat your typical McDonald’s fries.

Mackenzie Garner true many people wont be able to finish those on their own. But 40 dollars is a bit much. Like cmon its potatoes and onions and a buncha sauces. It cannot be that expensive to replicate
ini kim , from a technical point of view, yes, you can re-create this meal for less money, heck you can probably make it better if your good at cooking. However, when you think about it, there’s a lot more to a restaurant meal than just the ingredients. You have to also consider the price of not only the main ingredients (potatoes, onions, tomatoes, flour, etc) you also have to consider the price of the spices used (which are historically expensive, but that’s in the past, although things change), equipment maintenance, and the total time it takes to make the amount of food in the first place basically from scratch. Not to mention that the workspace needs to be pristine(so much so, that you would need a lot of specialty training and experience to work with food in a restaurant, and if it isn’t “clean enough” they could get shut down),the fact that restaurants buy these ingredients in bulk, and that they serve meals like this multiple times a day, it definitely makes the bigger picture more visible. It takes a lot more work to make a meal in restaurant, than it is to make one yourself, that’s just a fact of life.(also, to answer the question “then why is fast food so cheap?”, it’s because it’s all pre-frozen, meaning that all the workers have to focus on is sanitation and “preparing “ the food for the order (think fancy reheating, putting the proper ingredients on the bun, and packaging/plating the food))

if you made them at home, I'm sure everything would cost around 40$. that includes a full sauce of 4-6 kind, 1 kg of potato, sweet potato and whole package of tater tots/waffle also oil.
