Just a few yrs younger than you and id say b3 is the best for dueling but overall i preferred b1 because that story mode was so much better. I replayed b3 a short while ago and the story mode actually really sucks, its just an empty world and half the dialog isnt even voice. I was very disappointed my favorite game of my youth wasnt as glorious as id remembered.
@@Soulintent95 I can see your point I’ve played all of them, the problem I had with B1 was I don’t like how it only went to the cell saga that’s what made it boring for me, I’ve always really enjoyed the buu saga do to the transformation and fusions that’s why I really enjoyed B3 I also am a huge GT fan with ssj4 Gogeta being my all time favorite character and ssj4 being my all time favorite transformation so that’s another huge reason I enjoyed B3, I do see what you mean about the story lacking a bit but with all the secrets you could unlock in B3 I was fine plus the opening song was absolutely 🔥 in B3 lol. But as Dragonball fans we are all definitely entitled to our own opinions that’s what makes being apart of the db community fun seeing everyone’s views!! I don’t hate super but it’s not my favorite thing I just really like the Goku black saga. Imo, this was peak DBZ, don’t get me wrong Budokai Tenkaichi is top tier, but Budokai 3 hit different with its story mode and addition of GT characters for the first time and made it so you could play through characters stories multiple times and get new characters and items and do things differently
I kept drawing the Super Saiyans and one time I decided to change their hair color to make Ssj5 and so on. I remember how ugly they looked, except for the white one. Then I found them in super. I could not see them in a game. They would be punching my eyes instead of the enemies.
Man i miss OG gaming. Getting out of school, going to my local library, printing out mad stacks of paper for cheat codes and in game requirements for unlockables for my games.Which created my masterful gaming binder in high school 😂
For all you younger fans who didn’t get to experience this era of DB. Let me just tell you it peaked around this time, especially the early days of UA-cam when Tenkaichi 3 trailers were dropping! With sparking zero right around the corner now I can honestly say as a fan since the 90’s, it’s back.
Best game ever seriously I was born in 93 the game changed my life the hidden features dude not only ssj4 but gogeta also and the best secret for me was Z1 Z2 and Z3 mode which were even harder than very hard you could unlock! Z3 took me two whole days😢 the only way to beat any opponent is combo after they whiff and to exhaust their ki on Teleport exchanges and making sure your the last one too get the hit once they are out of ki you can land one attack rinse and repeat it was so fulfilling beating Z3 mode was harder than battle toads and my ninja gaiden speed runs😅 true test of endurance and resolve
Thats not how the budokai games work. There's one version of each character, and you customize their skill set & outfit to make whatever version you want. Also, ssj4 IS a transformation.
I will never forget how I accidentally ran into broly 😂 I never saw the broly movie at that point (I was like 6) and it had me freaking out like who the hell is this DEMON of a saiyan
Growing up on the trash fire that was Final Bout, Budokai 3 letting us play as SSJ4 Goku in a game that didn't suck was just mind blowing. SSJ4 Vegeta and the game breaking Gogeta were just the icing on top

We need a remaster. Besides Tenkaichi 2, Budokai 3 was my most polished and I loved how I pushed myself towards Z3 mode and the endless amounts of training in the Dragon Arena..such nostalgia as a 35 yr old 😅
This game introduced me to cooler, broly, and omega shenron for the first time. I thought they were game exclusive characters when I first saw them as a young boy. Such an amazing game. I love playing this game so much, and I have my copy for the PS3 to this day.

How annoying it was for multiplayer that you had to unlock characters. All should be available from the start
