I think a more canon Vegeta would feel more fear and confusion, seeing that the lower class Saiyan has a transformation, he would try to attack with everything he has but if he sees that it has no effect he would feel fear and even more so if you think that Goku is possibly the super Saiyan

On the story screen with the big map, blue lines are non canon timelines and during a fight that has 2 branches you can pause and check the "alternate conditions" i know the one for this 1 will say you have to win quickly against raditz but its a non specified time on the condition screen. I managed to do all the what ifs for the saiyan saga easily because of this. Although the toughest saiyan saga what if fight was trying to beat the ENTIRE ginyu squad with kaioken grade goku alone...

If things play out roughly the same like in canon, Goku on his way to Namek will have time to train and master Super Saiyen and he would be way stronger then when he fought Freiza in Canon. Maybe even unlock Super Saiyen 2 in that fight and it will just be a one sided stomp. An Vegeta too might unlock the transformation in turn with training from Goku.

The way it happens here, Goku goes to Namek alone looking for the dragon balls, but when he gets there, Frieza is already defeated. Vegeta transformed into a super saiyan and killed Frieza, and now is trying to get the dragon balls. You have to fight him, and after you win, they become rivals. Not exactly friends yet, but Vegeta starts to actually respect Goku, and goes away.
We got this in Budokai 2 I believe and maybe 3 as well. I do remember a lot of what if episodes, like what if Cooler came to earth instead of King Cold
So I’m running the numbers in my head… If Goku had at least 8,000 in Power Levels during this timeframe, and SSJ 1 is a 50X Multiplier at minimum, Goku would have a good power level of 400,000. That would put Goku as he is now just under Frieza’s lowest known power level in the Namek saga of 500,000. Of course by the time he WOULD get to Namek, he’ll have trained extensively anyway, so the game would close FAST.
If I remember vegeta was 17k power level and great ape was a 10 times multiplier, putting him at 170k max, he would've still lost to goku in his ape form but would've standed a better chance than in his base form. When I saw goku destroy the artificial moon, I knew it was game over.

Just beat Raditiz before the battle ends. It always ends automatically, even if you don't completly beat Raditz, so you have to be fast and defeat him. I'm not sure how much time you have, but it can be easily done by entering sparking mode and spaming rush attacks + ultimate.
not just talking about how smooth…yes mgsv was like a movie, way ahead of its time..I’m only saying how quick that transition was from great ape cut scene then straight into the fight… it was crazy to me. The last dragon ball z game I played was tenkaichi 3 where the in game cutscenes had their time and place…this one has the cutscenes integrated with the action it’s really cool looking
I love that this game present a slightly different version of what could have been. It still follows the core storyline but still feels refreshing by being slightly different.
So if Goku got a Zenki boost from that bean to reach 20,000 and then turned Super Saiyan, he'd already be as strong as 2nd form Frieza. And poor Vegeta didn't learn to read power levels yet by this time.

this could work in series, since Goku had a hard time activating it at first after his first time, all of the fights with Frieza's men could have happened the way they did and during Frieza's fight, Goku could have had another epic transformation moment during that also.
Luckily Frieza didn’t kill Krillin in this scene, but at the same time he is probably somewhere laughing his ass off watching Vegeta getting cooked by Goku.🤣🤣🤣

At this point in time, Goku power level was 8000 so with the 50x multiplier his power is just 400.000. In the Frieza saga his power level was 3 million before he turned SSJ. Quite a difference.
Forget that, I wanna see the entire timeline get wrecked by Vegeta achieving Super Saiyan against Goku. I doubt I'll ever get that in this style of game, but I do believe it was very briefly touched upon in Budokai 1, maybe? A "What If" mission, not open world where it actually affects gameplay. But I do appreciate it having the "alternate events" approach like Budokai 3, if I'm understanding correctly at least.

@@SuperAlexander2300 not only that, but you have to defeat Radditz fast. The game might end before his HP reaches zero, in this case the game goes back to the normal ending. Not sure how long you have, but you need to be fast.
