Talking about goku taking energy from vegeta wasn't goku it was vegeta it self. Vegeta, when he rushes goku, was hitting in the stomach with triangle and can be repeatedly hit the opponent with square until max power is over or hit him before losing max power then press triangle and I believe again to perform a sort of beam if I remember correctly
I think Cell "bulking up" during his Solar Kamehameha might just be another case of them warping the model to achieve a desired effect in certain camera angles during the cinematic. Like how they made Gohan's arm stretch ridiculously far during his Father-Son Kamehameha.
To explain 7:30 and why vegeta lost his FULL gauge. If u power to the max in Tenkaichi 2 and you burst rush and press triangle to attack your opponent it allows an ULTIMATE combo but if u MISS this combo you LOSE all your energy. 14:06 I don’t think this was meant to reference that, it’s mostly just to bulk him up to be more visible in his ultimate because the camera zooms out twice from Cell. The same way Gohan’s hand gets bigger in the Father Son Kamehameha
8:59 Z item route sounds neat. Most likely that was Vegeta's triangle smash (can't remember the exact name of the move). Most characters in max power mode can do a dragon dash and then use triangle to land a smash which opens you up to a lightning fast combo. Whether you land it or miss you are taken out of max power mode. Vegeta was dragon dashing and performed a smash attack in all successful recreations of the clip.
I mean they are strong, don’t get me wrong, but in comparison they are practically nothing. Yamcha is totally the weakest of the z fighters (except for ciaotzu because he was weak even in og db) since he didn’t even get invited to the ToP. Here's a weird one in budokai 2 kid buu ultimate move is called warp kamehameha but he doesn't actually do it he just dose his giant pink energy ball and then dose the kamehameha
In Budokai 3 also and it's called warp because he uses instant transmission for the final physical attack and kamehameha after his planet burst attack if it is successful.
Oh and another one, in BT1, Ssj4 Gogeta has a unique High Power Rush, but when you beat the game and check the credits he has the standard one; meaning it was most likely a last second change.
Since Buu never absorbed Frieza in canon, there's nothing to go by. But what if it could be argued that the Grand Supreme Kai's personality clashes so much with Frieza's that Frieza ultimately becomes suppressed?
The only other technical reason that Buu gets weaker due to absorption is when Gotenks defused inside of him so his power and form took on the appearance of Piccolo who was stronger than the two boys.

Here is a hidden secret Anyone knows about the "Thumb pose curse" that is pointing thumb at yourself and then loses a battle. Well, It did happened a lot with vegeta and once with Goku(Beaten by Raditz),Gohan(Beaten by buu) and Android 17(Absorbed by cell). But in a Dragon Ball Games, the thumb pose curse actually happened. I cannot believe it is the 3rd time they kept clowning on him
Something worth looking into for your videos. When i would play as Super Buu In Budokai 2, I swore that I could pick which character I would absorb by clicking a certain button. I remember being a kid and trying to test it, and the result was I absorbed Gotenks five times in a row. So it may not be completely random
Maybe Buu doesn't gain power from Frieza because of the way Frieza fights. This is before resurrection F, so Frieza still doesn't have the ability to use his full power that well, so maybe Buu has the same thing.
Its funny really. He explains very well why absorbtion doesnt make Buu weaker yet there are ALOT of people believing Kid Buu is his strongest form despite the fact its his base form.
About the Super Buu thing with Frieza and Yamcha, I just think from a gameplay standpoint they felt like adding Frieza onto Buu, they just kinda stop gapped Buu from having it as a buff. I wanna bring up specifically that Cell has only a 5% boost, while Vegeta, Gohan and Gotenks give you significant boosts - since they were actively fighting during the Buu saga. Budokai 2 is also extremely non-canon while they tried to get things more in line with the story, like 1, in Budokai 3. So in Budokai 3, he can absorb piccolo, but he also loses any character that he doesn't canonically turn into. So Vegeta, Cell, Frieza, and Tien/Yamcha instead have Piccolo take the dud, and Gotenks n Gohan are still the "winners" when using the move
Neat thing to add for the Buu steam charging thing, it's back in Sparking Zero! At the very least, Majin Buu does it. But there's a catch that makes it easy to miss, he only does it when charging to Sparking Mode now. If it's just to charge to full, it's like the BT3 way, he only lets out steam when it's a full to sparking charge. Nice way to add it back to the series and differentiate the two charging.
I think the drain effect from share your energy with me happened because in most fighting games the CPU will read your inputs and answer to it, and since you picked the hardest difficulty I think the CPU was most definetely reading your joystick inputs. I see people saying it was a failed combo attack that drains ki when it doesnt connect and it makes sense. You use your "share your energy with me" skill, the CPU reads your input and assume its his opening to do that combo, but since Vegeta is to far away to catch you with the combo he ends up failing to connect and thus his ki is drained. You can see vegeta kicking animation right before the ki drain happens which is another sign of CPU input reading
I found out that if you let Full Power Frieza do his Death Saucer and you do Krillin's ult, the Destructo Discs actually turn purple! This works in reverse also. If you ult first then Frieza does his Death Saucer, Frieza's turns yellow
Oh I got a good one in your video from last year you showed us that toribot appears in the world tournament stage in Budokai 2 but it's not the first game he appears in another game called tobal no 1 a fighting game from the 90s and he's actually a playable character you can unlock
Idk if you DID cover this I'm not sure, but a neat little detail, Mr. Satan stright up becomes OP in the training mode in Xenoverse 2, I found out while using him with training against Kid Buu-
@5:52 I mean, I’d assume they either have to consent, or Goku is a good guy and won’t do it without consent given the Kid Buu fight hinged on getting Earthlings to consent, which is why Mark “Satan” was so instrumental to that fight. Joke ruining aside, I do have to point out that this is your first video I watched, and so far pretty good.
In the lore, Kid Buu actually became weaker when he absorbed two of the Supreme Kai’s. Not just functionally weaker but his power level was lower. So there is precedent
18:20 You know what's funny this also happens in Sparking zero! I have no idea if it was an Reference to BT3 or if this is a case of history just repeating itself 😅
I don't remember Gohan's missing arm nor the steam on majin buu. They didn't make any game with Gohan missing his arm for the longest time because it was "too gruesome" for kids to see back then and it was too hard to code in apparently, it wasn't until Dragon Ball Legends finally made one that now he's popping up everywhere
I'm probably misremembering, but I remember that during the story mode chapter where you play as 2nd form cell if you keep using the drain life attack against 18 in BT3, there's a random chance you can get ki and health from her. Again, this might be my mind playing tricks on me it has been years. Keep up the great work.
Ive played it a bit and havent had this, its one of the weirdest missions tho since 2nd form cell is supposed to be strojger than 18 and 16, yet they HARD counter him by being androids to the point he can only use big bang crash lol
Fun fact! 10:08 And dont mean to be a stickler but Buu’s power decreasing with absorption is definitely a thing. This is why “Kid Buu” is actually considered Buu’s original form. He becomes considerably weaker after absorbing South Kai and then Grand Supreme Kai. In this episode Elder Kai says “he got weaker” and in the original Japanese sub “his power was reduced”. Very interesting video though, i appreciate the amount of time you put into this. Giving this a like❤
this guy forgot how goku didnt want to fuse with his son when gotanks fusion ran out inside of buu and pretty much had teh same power level as piccolo which is alot weaker then a ss2. Dakazee is not as smart as he think he is. making up false info. so if buu absorbed a normal human his power lvel would be 1. he probably got cell and buu mixed up. sicne wehn cell absorbs people their power adds to his power. but when buu absorb peopel he get's their power only it doesnt add to buu's power
@@KaitouKaiju can you explain why when gotenks defused in buu that goku told gohan not to put the earrings on? reason was that buu's power pretty much matched piccolo so goku didnt need to fuse with his son sicne he was alot stronger then buu when his strongest form was piccolo who is stronger then both kid trunks and goten. GOKU literally said dont bother puttign teh earrings on sicne buu power dropped by ALOT. i am sorry but you dopnt know jack shit about DBZ or character lore
I think you remembered the steam in 3 because it still does the sound of smoke coming out but not the animation cuz i just remembered that about kid buu you could hear the sound but no animation
0:32 Its crazy you using that clip of goku and vegeta to illustrate the convo with your friends, like you two were that serious when discussing this issue.
Thats interesting, I always thought Cell going bulky doing the Solar Kamamaheha was a model error. Not that he intentionally went bulky to power up. Now maybe its just a stronger variant of a Solar Kamehameha.
Your videos are actually one of my favorites to come across and find, exactly what I need in the middle of the darn day, like a quick treat n snack Those Saibamen facial expressions are creepy, never heard of that last game but at least it sold well, I guess
To give a possible technical explanation for why the steam effect and other effects were cut in BT3 despite being in BT1 and BT2, it could be hardware limitations. BT3 is an ungodly massive game for PS2 standards, so a lot of tiny stuff was probably axed to keep performance up and have the game fit on disc. Every kilobyte mattered on those old systems. Thought that's just a theory and not confirmed fact.
I really like when you visit some older games not a lof of people talk about like the gba ones, I hope you someday take a look at the variety of DBZ games that existed for the SNES
Anyone who’s worried about any characters not having certain moves or anything, its already confirmed that certain costumes for certain characters will give them different movesets so you will most likely get the moves you want.
I remember playing ten2 on the ps2 with my older brother ehen i was really young and it has only been a foggy memory for me , but for some reason this video showed up on my timeline and now all the memories of tan2 (or at least i assume it was the game from what i saw). Specifically i remember playing buu even tho i never watched dbz only my brother did, and that charging steam sound is 100% perserved in my memory along side some other little things. You sparked some serious nostalgia in me lmao , thanks man
My personal theory for Buu's steam is because in the series, Buu doesnt really have the steam to charge. He doesnt really do the big ki charge thing at all, in fact, the whole "DBZ characters stand across from each other and scream to charge" trope only usually happens whenever a character is transforming (which Buu doesn't do, at least not in the ki-charge power increasing way) or when they're about to use a big move (which, again, Buu doesn't do, he just uses magic). The steam only actually happens when Buu is angry
I'll say that with the Cell FighterZ thing, because the camera zooms out so much they still wanted to be able to see Cell, so bulking him up is the simplest way to do that
Here’s a little fact for you that I don’t know if you already went over but when you use your skill points and go full power and you hit your penalty mode if you go back to base form, it cancels it
if i remember correctly, fighterz buffs characters during cutscenes as a trick to make the scenes look more dramatic and stuff like that, as you said, they play with the models a lot
I think Cell bulks up, just for the benefit of the shot. It'd look fine had they not. But that bulk gives off the vibe of being THAT much more intimate with the shot.
Another weird thing about Good Buu is that from BT2 to 3,he lost his signature Chocolate Beam technique. It's weird since he's the form that used it the most (or at least for turning to sweets in general)
One thing I always loved about DBZ BT3 is that game was so true to the source material they even had an electricity ssj 2 glitch where if you used anyone in the game that has ssj 2 or 3 and you do a versus battle and rematch it electricity is gone on all ssj 2 and 3 characters specifically that was accurate to the anime in itself because electricity wasnt always shown for ssj 2 and 3 in the anime
In budokai 2 there is a glitch where if you hold L2 and L1 and enter and exit the capsule shop you will slowly gain more items and the more items you have the slower it will take.A think to note you might have to spam entering and existing.
According to the lore, Saiyans can regrow their tails when exposed to blutz waves. Gohan and Goku both experience 'instant tail', but then it's dropped
I’m not sure if this has been talked about, or if it’s common knowledge, but I feel like I remember being able to have 2 SS4 Gogetas on my team by selecting SS4 Gogeta and then selecting SS4 Goku and fusing.

4:32 basically if Future-Future Trunks was in Tenkaichi 3.
Satan stright up becomes OP in the training mode in Xenoverse 2, I found out while using him with training against Kid Buu-
FINALLY! Welcome back Kadazee it's been awhile love your vids man.
this is why I remember 2 being my favorite.Had way more details.
@5:52
I mean, I’d assume they either have to consent, or Goku is a good guy and won’t do it without consent given the Kid Buu fight hinged on getting Earthlings to consent, which is why Mark “Satan” was so instrumental to that fight.
Joke ruining aside, I do have to point out that this is your first video I watched, and so far pretty good.
In the lore, Kid Buu actually became weaker when he absorbed two of the Supreme Kai’s. Not just functionally weaker but his power level was lower. So there is precedent
Bro can't stop cooking
Let him cook ✋️
18:20 You know what's funny this also happens in Sparking zero!
I have no idea if it was an Reference to BT3 or if this is a case of history just repeating itself 😅
I love it when my favorite youtubers post at 11 pm, quality.
@@dantepizza6310 lmao
The thought on Frieza making Buu weaker is probably from Gotenks defusing inside buu and making piccolo take over
I don't remember Gohan's missing arm nor the steam on majin buu. They didn't make any game with Gohan missing his arm for the longest time because it was "too gruesome" for kids to see back then and it was too hard to code in apparently, it wasn't until Dragon Ball Legends finally made one that now he's popping up everywhere
11:14 was always my favorite part of these goofy fusions. S.Buu is genuinely like - _oh damn, what did I do?!_
Waiting for that Tenkaichi 3 video!!
At 15:44, Idk if it's the official term but people playing the game in youtube vids call it ki sickness
That ad was one of the best uses of the Prowler theme I've ever witnessed.
11:27 ty so much for that
Taiketsu was my first DBZ game LMAO. I have a core memory of playing it at the pool after swimming classes 😅
Did you know that in Tenkaichi 2 duel screen, if you wait for a while, Trunks will say something like "just like Goku, I'm gonna beat you"
In BT3, when Eis Shenron uses his ability "Blinding ice claw", the character you're using will close their eyes until the effect wears off.
Bruh no he didn't get weaker absorbing people at any point we only ever see him get stronger with more abilities
@@KaitouKaiju you really need to reread DBZ buu arc or rewatch the show . cause you are kinda dumb.
9:50 mistake its 120% not 140
Thats interesting, I always thought Cell going bulky doing the Solar Kamamaheha was a model error. Not that he intentionally went bulky to power up. Now maybe its just a stronger variant of a Solar Kamehameha.
Android 18 firing butt rockets reminds me of shadow lady from mvc
19:06 yeah, the moon is there, there's this 1 small yellow pixel, that's the moon
Your videos are actually one of my favorites to come across and find, exactly what I need in the middle of the darn day, like a quick treat n snack
Those Saibamen facial expressions are creepy, never heard of that last game but at least it sold well, I guess
10:35 Good luck convincing the people who think Kid Buu is stronger than Super Buu.
The TeamFourStar video of Taiketsu when they play Krillin is absolutely hilarious. "My signature technique!" Kick! Kick! Kick!
That really doesn't explain why it wasn't restored until raging blast 2 though there were a lot of games between bt3 and then
I really like when you visit some older games not a lof of people talk about like the gba ones, I hope you someday take a look at the variety of DBZ games that existed for the SNES
Anyone who’s worried about any characters not having certain moves or anything, its already confirmed that certain costumes for certain characters will give them different movesets so you will most likely get the moves you want.
0:59 I grew up with Tenkaichi 2 exclusively so I knew that steam coming out of Buu when he charges was a thing there.
You sparked some serious nostalgia in me lmao , thanks man
You know why I love Goku SSJ2? In BT3 his super attacks only consume 2 Kis
Forget abt the sparking zero buu dance THIS IS FIRE 10:52
Thank you so much for the test!! That’s so weird why and how it happened but thank you again!
I'll say that with the Cell FighterZ thing, because the camera zooms out so much they still wanted to be able to see Cell, so bulking him up is the simplest way to do that
Bro i can't wait for the crazy content you gonna put out when Sparking Zero comes
In raging blast 2 when you absorb gotanks or gohan steam comes out of super buu’s head
Here’s a little fact for you that I don’t know if you already went over but when you use your skill points and go full power and you hit your penalty mode if you go back to base form, it cancels it
I think its interesting that they had a battle damaged Oozaru Vegeta outfit based on his normal form's battle damage.
if i remember correctly, fighterz buffs characters during cutscenes as a trick to make the scenes look more dramatic and stuff like that, as you said, they play with the models a lot
I think Cell bulks up, just for the benefit of the shot. It'd look fine had they not. But that bulk gives off the vibe of being THAT much more intimate with the shot.
I think Buu not having steam is a reference to no longer having evil Buu in him. When Buu got super mad the steam coalesced into the skinny evil Buu
Bro it’s been 3 weeks 😭😭😭
Budokai 2 was one of my favorites, i loved the board game story mode too
7:52 just to comment how cool is to see the Genkidama growing in the sky...
When Cell uses spirit bomb in the games, he's definitely stealing that energy. Not sure if that's canon though
