I use a generic USB-C hub instead of a dock because I play with the kickstand a LOT and it makes it easier to put my devices one some of the crowded tables and stuff I put em on.
I'm curious, I currently own a Steam Deck dock. Would it be compatible with the Retroid Pocket 4S Pro, or would the dock you're suggesting be a better fit? Thanks for these testing videos!
Hey Vlad, have you tested the dock being used to charge and add wired joysticks, or mouse and keyboard on the 35xx H through the combined port it has? Obviously still using mini hdmi to hmdi for display out. Would that actually bring any benefit on the table instead of just using Bluetooth, like reducing input delay?
Sounds like a great device, tho I'm curious how I'd use it on an Anbernic RG556 or a Switch... the usb port is at the bottom looks like it'll be clunky?
Flip that thing upside down, it'll look hilarious. 😄 On a serious note, I get why some people would be bothered like this. I intentionally looked for something without a fixed usb-C, those things put immense pressure on the devices' port.
@@VladNerd well that part I do like.. Just wish they made like a cut at the bottom where you can click the cable. Hmm perhaps a 3d print or something could fix the problem
I’ve ordered two of these docks and after about two months something to the dock always goes wrong. Stopped output to my tv one time and the second time the charging port stopped work.
It also runs at 1080p 60hz, but I haven't tested 4k 60 though (my projector is 1080p). The upside down console thing however, personally I find that hilarious (wouldn't bother me, and functionally it's the same thing, but I can see how others would have an issue with that). I intentionally avoided fixed usb-C ports at the bottom, as that can put a ton of pressure on the USB port of the device, and aesthetics alone aren't worth it, imo
No, no, no! It's useless with Anbernic rg556: when charging the Anbernic rg556, hdmi doesn't work. At the same time you can not charge battery and output hdmi signal, you have choose. So it s useless with rg556. Before advertising, please DO test the products. Please!
We are a group of buyers and we bought rg556s and several brands of hubs, all powered, and we have not suceed in this. If you can do this, please do tell us.Thanks in Advance for kind help.
@@wanasiaw3055 There's no technical limitation on why it shouldn't work. I would, like I said, try with a really fast charger (at least 45W). Normal chargers don't give out enough juice for both the USB hub, and the device it's supposed to interface with, hence why a fast (powerful) charger is needed. :)
@@VladNerd Sure, it s the first thing we all tried. It's like the rg556 has this kind of limitation. If it's hardware, there is no way, if it s software we hope Anbernic will make an upgrade but as we know, Anbernic is not Retroid, it' very poor on upgrading. It's a pity, but we can only wait and hope. What makes us made is that for less expensive devices, Anbernic gives at last one port hdmi and one usb c; here with the rg556 that costs around 200 $ and should be it s top device, we only have one port and with limited functions! Another thing, sono rg556 arrived with NO configuration and some customers that have no time or are not clever with configurating devices, have a useless peace of plastic. What kind of mess is that?
Cool nerds help me grow this channel by *SUBSCRIBING,* just sayin'. ❤

That also works, my dude. Practicism ftw. ❤️
Im glad to see your channel growing! Keep your work going.
But next time a bit louder please😁👍
Will do! 😄
Thanks btw ❤️
Thanks for the demo and info. I appreciate your enthusiasm. Have a great day
I love comments like these. They're literal just positive energy being sent out. Thanks, my dude! 🍻
Good find man! I literally just ordered one kid. Good to go with my OneXplayer. Sweet! Super sweet!
Yeah, I'm actually super proud of it. 😄 (I use it almost every day)
Nintendo just casually setting precedents as always. USB C docks are so functional for everything with a screen.
I will be getting this when my Odin 2 arrives

Does the official steamdeck dock also charge the device? Does this one charge device?

Will this work with the Anbernic Rg Cube? I'm assuming it's a yes if it does the 556. Also, any input lag when using controllers?
It plays on the TV, but still no sound. Am I slow?
Are you using the hdmi out on devices or is everything coming via the usb-c?
Could this work with Linux like the RG35XXH?

So I can connect my RG556 on one of these, connect a USB Arcade Stick and play MAME stuff on my TV?

Oh damn, that sucks!
Honestly, I haven't had problems with mine though, and I use it fairly regularly. Maybe I'm just lucky
over here it costs anywhere from $78.00 - $100.
Rp3+?
Seems to be 4K30hz only. Also I have to put my Odin2 or RP4Pro upside down, as the USB-C is on the bottom not like on the Stem Deck.

Does it support VRR?
but is the steamdeck still super fucky when you dock it with controllers and weird resolution issues?
I think they fixed that in a recent update tbh
btw, I love the word "fucky". Adding it to my vocabulary. 😆
I have that jsaux too :)
39.99 on the Amazon link 😢
Yeah, Amazon sellers usually marks them up like crazy. Go with AliExpress my guy. :)
Right, a good video would be shgowing us how you use it, i would like to know this rather than 6 minutes of you saying the same thing, no offence.

Sounds like it's not receiving enough juice from the charger. Did you connect the dock to a fast charger?
Also, I do test. I have one as part of my day-to-day setup. I'm sure this issue can be circumvented. :)

i buy it for my 556
Better you had not.
