Slug Shotgun is great with No Respite and Full Bore blessings. Full Bore will activate even if you use the slug shot because it counts as 'all' projectiles hitting an enemy. Then staggering enemies with the Slug shot gives you a damage bonus from No Respite. You can even use the slug shot to cause Bulwark's to stagger, swing their shield wide and open their defences (unless Fatshark changed this at some point I haven't done it in a while) allowing you to dispatch them pretty quickly. Its not going to be OP but it is fun.
Edit: I tested it today and the slug shot still makes Bulwarks open up.
