At 5:15 I called the pop filter "shock mount" please forgive me. LMAO For more microphone reviews: ua-cam.com/play/PLJm12wueC77ubmr922E3eNRGgIjgRXWWi.html
Hey Kagan, did you ever get around to purchasing the shock mount for the G-Track Pro? I am currently using a setup that's requiring a boom arm as I just don't have the desk space available to let it sit in it's included desk stand. Also if you could suggest a good boom arm for this because the weight is a little bit of a concern for the cheaper boom arms for me.
I have had a Blue Yeti, Blue Yeti Nano, Samson G-Track Pro, and an AT2020 usb. Currently I use the AT2020, buts it's a close tie between that and the G-track, the G-Tracks controls and audio in are very helpful, but I find once I adjust everything I won't need the knob know too much, since I can just change it in voice meter. But forget about a blue yeti yall, fr lmao. I kinda wish I still had the G Track and would sell my At2020 for one if I got the chance, but I'm satisfied with what I have now. G Track was the only mic I've had that made people constantly say how good my mic sounds and what kind is it lolol
Thanks. I was looking for a podcast mic with an option of extra features without taking up my desk space. After my purchase I want some other options as I wanted to add other equipment options. Honestly, I use the input to add calls to my podcast with my phone or music from another source. Good Review!
What I appreciate most is you actually using the mic from beginning to end. All the other reviews did not. Tells me you really like this mic. Great content.
Brian Ginn beyond liking the mic, it just feels totally wrong to me reviewing a microphone while using another one the entire time. Strikes me as odd. Thanks a lot for watching.
What a great review. You covered all the points very well. I am considering buying a USB mic. If I was to go for one - it would definitely be this!! Big thanks Kagan!
Nice, lucid overview - thanks. And special thanks for your remarks about the pop filter I was just considering buying to go with my G Track Pro now on its way to me. Will reconsider that, though I really like/prefer the form factor of the suboptimal Samson offering. But if it doesn‘t do the job well, then what‘s the point, eh?
I have this microphone and it is very user friendly. Unfortunately the MOTU® AudioDesk® recording software code that came with it didn't work for some reason. I suspect someone already used the code. I did also buy Auray WCF-UB440 Foam Windscreen for Large Diaphragm Condenser Mics from B&H to go on this microphone. The base is very sturdy and I did buy a shock mount for when I get my desk set up so I can use a boom arm to have it up off the desk. I use this for my streaming of games and my UA-cam Channel. I do have a slight echo but I know I need to do some sound proofing to my room. Great review.
Great review! Actually, with the quality of the audio that is coming from this microphone at the distance you had it in the video, the pop filter is really not necessary. The speaking distance from you to the mic was far enough that any popping sounds is really not an issue. The clarity and crispness of the audio is unbelievable at this price level.
Seems like every time I get loud with this mic, it distorts, then I see people with the Shure SM7B yelling directly it on the mic and it doesn’t peek at all. Is it possible to be able to do that with my Samson? Get loud af with no peaking? Haha
You can maybe turn down the volume of the general pick up so you are not peaking at your loudest. Or you can run the mic into your DAW with a limiter and compressor on. Quite easy.
thank you brother i really appreciate the effort you put into this video im now buying this microphone bcuz of this review. i fw with ur hoodie too btw
EEEEVVVVVYYYYYYYYYYY :D, Great Video!! Little Question, did you tried the HyperX Quadcast and the Blue Yeti X? I just saw a Video and im not sure if you have with the samson more bass from your voice captured. Im about to buy one of these and cant decide....

@@KaganTech Im from India, I found this product not offering any warranty in amazon. Can you guide any other option with similar mic.....for making music video....will be a great help

Hey so I had this mic for awhile, and was wondering if there was a video/video you could do for how YOU set it up. Volume, mic, etc. Been trying to use it in Streamlabs :/
I bought this after watching the review - superb with my iMac :) But...can I use it with my iPhone 11 with a USB-lightning adaptor? Or does it need to be powered? Or should I just buy £20 shotgun mic? TIA
@@KaganTech Thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I take it that the problem lies with Studio One as I have noticed that Studio one does not excepts audio drivers such as MME or WASAPI, which work well with the G Track Pro as it is evidence with Audition. However I use Audition only for Audio clean up and nothing else. My vocal recordings are all done with Studio One. I can of cause use Asio4All but then again it is not very stable with windows platform. I have contacted both Presonus Studio One and Samson and made them aware of the shortcoming but so far with no reply. Hopefully they will still get back to me. It could be great if bSamson could develop and Asio driver for their mic, just as much as it could be great if Studio one could allow more audio drivers to work with their DAW. But thanks again.
Kagan great thank you so much!! Sorry actually I have another question, is it possible to connect this to a speaker? I want to use this to record my voice but also to project into a speaker for Facebook live performances

Do you recommend the headphones? What are your thoughts for them?
it's so pretty I wish I needed it, but I just need something for spoken word with great noise cancellation so I'm going with the Samson q2u

Boom Arm,. THORMAX
Works also for Blue Yeti... & Samson G Track PRO

can you adjust background audio by chance? im looking for a mic that doesnt pick up much background noise, great video by the way!
You can use cardioid mode which basically picks up sound only directly in front of the capsule.
defiantly picking this up for my streams
I decided to get it, great review man ;)
i REALLY wish it had a stereo 1/8" input as well :-) or a dual mono, stereo 1/4"
Ha, that might be asking a little too much lol. It's still only a USB microphone you know...
Kagan ye but if it did. Oh man. I’d pay $199 for that. Would love to record stereo into it. Imagine the possibilities.
