Microsoft leaked a document that listed an apparent remake of Oblivion during the Act-Blizz case. I wonder if it'll release the same day as Skyblivion...
Oh my goodness, can you imagine the heart break? I don’t even want to think about that. I’d be utterly devastated :( I’m really looking forward to that one too!
Not a chance, it would be embarrassing for Bethesda to release a piece of slop at the same time as a project made for free that will end up being 100x better 🤣
That won't happen, morroblivion exists right now which is morrowind full game on oblivion engine, it just means that you will probably have to legally own both games. Which is what was the case before. Edit: typos
@@AVVGaming1 i boarded a ship on a new character that was attacking a civillian settlement, ship took off... that character is now stuck in orbit. If i land, it makes that ship my homeship and locks the game... very annoying indeed.
Bethesda didn't just throw the update together in 5 minutes. You can bet every cent they had the update sitting on the shelf ready to go, perhaps for years. And they DO NOT care about modders, the fans, or anyone else.😮
They certainly have become more distant from the fans in my opinion. After the way they handled responding to Starfield criticism, it kind of looked bad and showed they are not taking in feedback.
The update has new Halloween themed items. You can tell they finished the update for last year, but chose to delay it because of the Amazon show. And they didn't even bother warning the mod team. Just pathetic.
I have a feeling fallout: london is gonna be New Vegas all over again. Non bethesda game built on bethesda software that everyone likes way better than the official game
I do too! I’m playing new vegas right now and it’s so good! From what I’ve seen from London it’s going to be epic. They’ve ticked every box you can. I don’t want to over hype it since I’ve not actually played it but it looks amazing!
What Bethesda should have done: -make a new branch of the game so the original isn't touched by the update -migrate the game to the fo76 engine -improve graphics -improve gameplay mechanics (like dialogue choices showing what your character will say for example) -60+fps physics fix -proper widescreen support -fixing the multitude of engine bugs modders cannot fix -fixing massive bugs that have been known for years -increase stability -add co-op multiplayer -add some of the weapons/armors/settlement objects from fo76 -make a new expansion/DLC that adds a few questlines and a new place to explore Even if they had done just 1 or 2 of those it would have been a win. But instead what we got: -broken mods -deleted modlists -low effort, sub-par creation club mods -increased loading times -hilariously bad widescreen (just widescreen, can't call that support lol) -slightly worse performance -a couple minor bugfixes -support for current-gen consoles I don't know if it's malice or complete and utter incompetence combined with an unmeasurable amount of laziness, but they made all the wrong decisions and couldn't even properly do the little they did set out to do.
It’s certainly a lazy update. Like, your game just got a bunch of new players, you want to give it a new update, wow them! Just a few things added? Nothing that’s really special at all? Like why bother? I just feel like Bethesda rush things a lot.
@@AVVGaming1 Exactly, this update is wasted potential at best and infuriating at worst, it's like they're not even trying, giving us the absolute bare minimum to pretend like they're actually doing something.
@@BxPanda7 but why? Wouldn’t they want to make fans love them? This update doesn’t do anything and it might as well not even be there. In fact, I’d argue it’s done more bad than good.
@@AVVGaming1 Unless someone who works at Beth comes out and tells us, we can only guess, malice ? incompetence ? mismanagement ? My best guess is mismanagement, as in some higher up with no clue wanted an update and assigned 1 or 2 people to make it, then forced the release before it was ready.
@@AVVGaming1 You forgot to mention that the Next-Gen (if you can call it that) Update got delayed, it was slated to release in 2023. Sure this is probably because of the show's Air Date, but it makes the quality of the Update itself seem even worse- Like what did they even do in that time?
Next Fallout London release: "It's finally time." Bethesda: "Fallout 5 is here!" Bethesda strikes me as the kind of company that do what the fans want, at the worst of times, and 50/50 chance in the worst way.
Haha! Awesome comment! Would be so funny if they’d had fallout 5 ready just waiting for London to be ready lol I agree with the rest of your comment too!
Yes it’s just unfortunate timing and it’s just a shame because of how good this mod is. I hope the team keep strong battle on and deliver what will be one of tbe greatest mods I’ll have ever played based on what they’ve said.
@@AVVGaming1 FOLON wanted to release around the show, however FO4 also wanted to update, screwing with the script extender and breaking mod compatibility. Simply just unfortunate events.
@@MyAramil I don't think they feel any incentive to collaborate further with mod creators (outside of creation club). But yes it is true that these mods would actually bring a lot of players back to the game.
I think they could have communicated with the team more for sure but the idea that they timed the release especially to fuck with the mod is downright tin foil thinking. It was timed around the TV show coming out, the timing of which is impossible to adjust on command. The way releases like that work is that they are precisely calculated and room is made for them around other competing releases and it's down to the exact amount of time and budget that is afforded to them, as well as when executives need the money to start pouring in exactly for their quarterly reviews. I think there are so many mod projects and fan generated content and creation club shit and everything it would be impossible for Bethesda to keep track of it all. There's several similar mods in the works at all times, and they already devote so much time, resources, attention, consideration in the development of the games, the releasing of creation kits, literally an entire infrastructure designed with the express purpose of allowing free mods to work on consoles, the idea that they did this to purposefully spite a mod project is downright insulting
@@AVVGaming1red exclamation points, crashes, barely improved graphics, shoehorned creation club content… it was kind of a big nothing burger, like they shoved it out the door
@@AVVGaming1I don’t believe there was any update to the graphics, and there’s stuttering and shit in certain areas of the game, something that modders had fixed years ago. The state of the “next gen update” is pathetic.
There's no logical reason other than salt add emotion for why they didn't release when they claimed they were going to. There's no reason they should have waited ....
There is another thing working against the project. Todd has been asked if there would be a fallout located in another country and he said no, Fallout is rooted in Americana. I would guess Todd is not thrilled that Fallout London exists though not opposed to it.
I guess he means there will be no "official" fallout. They can't force modmakers to cancel such mods unless they somehow violate some kinds of laws/EULA. Like that story with fallout 3-nv port where guys used original voices. Tim Cain also said they wanted to make fallout in different locations, but realized they don't have enough awareness about other cultures.
I’ve seen that interview and I figured he meant for games he wanted to make. But that being said, it shows he’s not thrilled about the London concept, but at least he’s not got his own London being worked on lol.
It's sad they made such a big deal out of this only for an easy to use back patcher to be released a few days after the update. They haven't said a word since, just makes it look like they weren't ready for release. They may not even release it at all out of embarrassment. Just goes to show the release date for fan projects should always be "when it's done".
I think they’re probably debating whether to just release now and ask people to roll back updates or wait to fix it. It’ll be down to time and I bet they’re waiting for a timeline from the others involved
you can buy fallout 4 for around 5 - 10 bucks in a key store easy. Bethesda dont want someone to success with ther IP's (basicly it is not ther IP) but they are toxic and if you dont know what is going on there then research it. There is a Reason why Ther games are so Dog Shit nowdays.
Hahahaa love this comment! It’s such a letdown the update but you know what? I wasn’t even surprised by it or disappointed with it. I expected it, and that’s the saddest part lol
For a company that is on life support thanks to modding you'd think that they would have atleast the courtesy to contact the Fallout London team and warn them about the update (with NDA to prevent revealing it worldwide) and call it a day. They didn't sabotage the mod, not on purpose atleast, because that would require some sort of planning, which is something modern Bethesda isn't really capable of on the long run.
Hahah that’s spot on! But they really must keep an open communication with modders. I feel like other modders would have more encouragement if they saw Bethesda supporting a giant project like this but they’ve completely ignore it and I don’t know why
@@AVVGaming1 It's even more baffling because them just giving a pat on the shoulder of those modders costs nothing to the company and is easy PR, it's a win-win and yet they missed it hard.
@@maboilaurence8227 I know the FOLON team tried to do exactly what you said as well, many times! They just have to be more embracing of mod creators and it’ll pay off! They need to work on their image because Bethesda have taken a battering recently lol
I completely agree! I personally think Bethesda did sabotage Fallout London because the mod would have been BETTER than the game. They didn’t want anything to outshine them during this time where the Fallout series was released! Great video and I think you were fair on all sides! Keep em coming ☺️🙏🏼
Thank you for your kind words! I’m so excited about playing the London mod and it looks so good. They have put so much effort into it and it definitely deserves its chance to shine!
Personally I don't think they did it out of envy but greed. I think the update was in the works for a while but the TV shows positive reception and the uptick in Fallout players, new and old, made them rush to get the update out to cash in on the hype.
Done dirty by a suspect lack of communication. No obligation to modders? Are you kidding? Modders are what BGS relies on to fix their games and give them extended life so they can re-release Skyrim 100 times. Their undeserved ego cannot take other games in the Fallout IP being better received than their own, a la New Vegas and mostly likely New London.
Sorry I mean to say that they are not legally obligated to communicate with modders and they aren’t. But absolutely they should! Their games benefit so much from modders putting in the work to make their own games. I stand right beside your comment and agree with you.
Me too! I think it’s going to come down to time. How long would it take to get it ready for the new update? If too long, it may be better just send it out now for those who don’t have the updates.
So many developers build huge mods on Bethesda games and add value to the IP which they don't reap. Every team doing serious total conversions should just invest technically into building games from scratch on engines like UE5, perhaps Unity, Stride, and O3DE. There are still some migration issues with version jumps but there is more of a common stake in the quality of the engine, debugging experience, and developer experience. This gives more agency and ownership to these dedicated teams. They can either build open source games or earn money creating competitive games in the market of action role playing games. People also would have the creative freedom to do their own worldbuilding and writing that doesn't involve putting rocket engines on the USS constitution. The world moves on- gaming needs more experimenting and competition.
Yes I think that’s what they should have done. From the research I have done, it wasn’t supposed to be this big. But as time went by they just keep adding and adding until it got to the point where it’s better than the actual game it’s modding lol. But with their talent and time dedication it certainly would have made more sense to create their own game and have complete freedom and avoid things like this happening.
I didn’t like the way they made starfield, just wasn’t my thing procedurally generated worlds. But I really didn’t like the way they responded to comments of fans who gave feedback. Treated them like fools who didn’t know right.
Todd Howard is a weasel, the money he could make just having the most beloved moddable games in hisotry outstrips his pitiful vision of trying to control and half ass monetise the true creative work that happens on skyrim and fallout 4. It personifies American ideological and ethical bankruptcy., nevermind it's shortsighted crippling of long term brand profitability
I’m going to do a video on it very soon. Bethesdas attitude towards their fans has continuously gotten worse over time. There’s proof and it’s not looking good.
I’m not sure if they intentionally screwed them over but from the research I’ve done, it’s quite evident that they don’t have much respect for their fans. A video I’m working on, just not sure when to do it.
If they happened it would definitely not look good especially as a lot of new potential fans have joined the series after the show. It would be bad if the mod was ranked as better.
Did they actively Sabotage it? No. Did New London get the short end of the stick? Yup. Yes, it sucks, but we've known the FO4 remaster was coming this year for a long time. They had the choice of waiting for Bethesda to give a concrete timeframe, releasing it with a giant warning that it would require the old version at launch, or this. They chose this.
When the show dropped, you had a feeling something would come. If we owned a gaming franchise and our series on tv was doing well, a business would naturally do something to milk it or encourage fans
@@AVVGaming1 Yeah. I mean, next month they're dropping the Skyline Region update for Fallout 76. A whole new region to explore, new nuke-triggered boss fight event like the Scorchbeast Queen and Earl, and new storyline. Closer to the show's launch, 76 got a new BoS Follower inspired by how squires are depicted in the TV Show, and an outfit inspired by The Ghoul's. Just seeing more people playing 76 has given me hope for Fallout's future. I believe Bethesda even said they're looking to maybe getting Fallout 5 done sooner because of how well the show did.
Yeah they announced the next gen update like 2 years ago, it just took forever because fallout 4 is a rat’s nest under the hood lol Oh, and of course despite taking years the next gen update has royally fucked up stability of the game
Bethesda kept saying the update was coming with no specific time window. They just happen to announce it after FOLON announces their date? I’m not one to be conspiratorial but considering the state of the “next gen update” on release they clearly rushed out the update for some reason…
I've never seen fallout 4 look as bad as it does now. More flickering textures, far worse pop in of distant assets and NPC's and what was on series x a 100% smooth experience which was my reason to upgrade from series s as I didn't know Boston was broken on series s. Now the game stutters so often. Can't get into the mods page anymore because removed mods causes an issue so you can't update your mods list without resetting everything every time you stumble onto a removed mod. Forced creation club taking up mod space. I didn't want the update so I set my series x to manual updates but Bethesda forced the update on us. A game I loved for so many years now destroyed and after playing the game since release and spending my money on ps4 and x box versions I have seen the game degrade so much and I believe the next gen update was a con just to hook new players.
That’s a really sad story and I’m sorry you have had that experience. I know it doesn’t mean much but a lot of others have said the same so you’re not alone.
Todd Howard was probably just sitting there sweating thinking to himself we can't have an outsider one up us again like New Vegas. Todd was like guys what should we do? Devs - well we have an update coming out really soon... Todd - Great idea sabotage it so the game doesn't work.
My next video is about fallout new vegas! Such a shame they never authorised another after it. Bethesda would have looked bad if the London dropped at the same time as the show and new players assumed the mods were better than the base game

Yes I think it’s weird that they never accepted contact despite the time trying to reach out. They’ve done is before so the fact they didn’t do it this time does seem off.
I have no idea why Bethesda thinks updating games on pc is a good idea. Like we really don’t want or need the updates we already have mods that fix all of the major issues with their games.
@@AVVGaming1 honestly like idk why they didn’t just do it like the Skyrim special edition. There’s no way they didn’t know this would piss off a decent amount of the fan base
A lot of people have said this and they did address it saying they just want it to be as accessible to as many people as possible which makes sense based on how good it looks.
The game auto updated, ruined all my game saves and extensive modlist that will never get patches from the modmakers. The update lost me like400+ hrs of settlement building, never buying a bethesda product ever again.
I feel your pain :( they know this is going to happen as well. It should really be optional. And if it’s going to happen they have to surely give us more? The update was so empty and lazy.
I think the reason bethesda don't work with modders is bcuz its risky, take fallout nv the frontier mod, a hugely hyped mod that on release contained lots of degenerate sex stuff, awful writing and stolen story plots from other games/shows, then you have fallout new california which was a pretty good mod, the problem is bethesda doesn't know if there getting a fallout frontier or a new california and its just safer for them to stay out of it, they can always support the mod post release when its safe to do so, but backing something which you have no direct oversight and control over is not wise for a big company expecially one whos reputation is up and down in the eyes of the fans.
Yes someone else mentioned this before and it makes perfect sense. If they got attached to a mod and it went badly in the public eye, it would be hard to shake that reputation.
Yes the fact it’s in London isn’t the selling point for me. It’s how it looks in terms of content. Even if it was a fallout new York or something I’d be just as excited
@@macrocosm2778 it looks like it! It’s always tough to gauge sometimes. I saw posts of people loving it, and I was confused, like am I missing something? But you are right, if I was to make a change in the video it’d be that part. Thanks for the feedback!
Bethesda didn't sabotage Fallout London. Fallout London continues to sabotage itself. The developers delayed for Starfield, the developers delayed once more to have the London game on St. George's day, and the developers finally refuse to make a compromise with their player base and release the mod to those that are willing to do a few basic steps. How can we blame Bethesda for this when Fallout London could release today? The developers are idiots who want as much clout as possible. To anyone who will try to refute this point let me make this clear. If you make people use script extender and download it.. you are actively gutting your user base because most players can't use Script Extender (console) so don't use the entire community as a shield to make up for the fact you put the game at the time where Bethesda was most likely going to put on the TV show. The people making the big decisions only know about this mod because of mainstream outlets reporting on it. The mod is viable. We need to stop pretending it can't be released and it's the companies fault for doing brand synergy. The developers knew of this possibility and if they didn't it means they don't listen to their main audience.
I didn’t blame Bethesda in the video and just said it’s bad timing. They waited to release London for the new show which was a risk. It’s only natural Bethesda would do something off the back of the shows success.
Bethesda announced a next gen update earlier on, FO London's team released a couple update videos announcing proposed launch date around the time frame of the next gen update. As we all know, updates break mods. Left a comment on their vid mentioning their release date wasn't gonna work out and yet they proceeded. As expected, the next gen update broke Fallout London. You could see that coming from a mile away.
In fairness when the show dropped, then they announced the new update it makes perfect sense. I know the London team based it around that time too because of the show. It was a dangerous game of poker lol
@@AVVGaming1 FOLON took an unnecessary risk IMO. it's been ages since FO4 received an update and BGS said they had plans for a next gen update around this time. I don't know why FOLON chose to go forward with a definitive release date despite knowing full well a next gen update was on the horizon. mind you this was earlier on this year when the FO Tv series hadn't been released and was still being hyped up. negative PR is still good PR so if FOLON's goal is to generate PR, they got it. smart move on their part for many other unmentioned reasons.
Bethesda didn't sabotage fallout London it was worse, they didn't care, because it wouldn't make a profit for them. The update for pc was a disaster. The bugs are worse than ever before, the mod list is largely broken and the loadingtime is comically long. The extra content is very rushed and doesn't make sense story wise. I downgraded it after a few days.
I think it would be more understandable if the next gen update actually was worth it. From what I’ve seen it doesn’t look much better, the quests added are just from mods and nothing special and it’s caused more harm than good. Not a good trade off lol
I guarantee more than a few people bought fallout 4 GOTY just for this mod. I also guarantee you that more than a few people who already owned the game on Steam bought it on GOG just for ease of installation
No they didnt bethesda just couldn't give two shits about what modders are doing and there release timeframe. To say bethesda sabotaged it is just reaching for staws to find something or someone to blame and its more easier for upset people to blaim the evil corporation and not unfortunate overlap in release dates.
Yes and as I said in the video they didn’t sabotage them it’s just bad luck. They didn’t do anything maliciously I don’t think, just unlucky timing it happens. But you’re right, they aren’t that bothered about their mod creators.
No they didn't. Can we stop with the "Bethesda is jealous/bitter" comments? There's no proof of that. If they really were jealous of Fallout London, they would've forced the modders to shut down the project, but they didn't. Hell, they wouldn't offer some of those modders a job in the first place of they were jealous. This is just as dumb as saying "Bethesda is jealous of New Vegas' success". And that comment is funny today because Fallout 4 is more successful than New Vegas in sales.
They might the right play now but I know they’ve said they don’t want to do that. It mentions it in his video on his UA-cam page he wants for next gen now
Am I the only one who thinks Microsoft shut down the studios as punishment for bathesda for not having a game ready for the fallout tv show and not even have one in development yet. Keep in mind they did release a shitty game that was overhyped and I’m sure their pockets see it was over hyped
Course it was a sabotage, they had a few years to drop a new update & they would rather drop a wank game like starfield & then EVENTUALLY a new ES knowing a new fallout will be atleast 15 years after the last ( I dont count 76 because it's 76) and their ego won't allow another company to show them up (here's looking at you obsidian) & by the fact that Beth KNEW of FOLON's existence but didn't even give the devs a heads up before the news hit the net shows they were snakey about it.
Fallout new vegas really did deliver and fixed a lot. Easily one my favourite games of all time. They should outsource more though because they can build a game world, just bad at story telling and RPG elements at least recently
They should have just released it anyway! Most people downgraded their game, or never updated anyway! Hell they can still release it, and there will be more people playing it than vanilla fallout 4! Right now! I know I would! That's just dumb as hell!
I know they said they wouldn’t do that on their UA-cam channel but they might after seeing the next gen update being a let down and people rolling back the update
They could of released it for the downgraded version everyones playing anyway, then just worked on it for the update while everyone plays downgrade version
I think it's an own goal only the likes of Bethesda is capable of. Loads of people are now aware of how they roll and have looked at the player base who seem to view the Co as a bit of an unexploded bomb who are dangerous lol.
I think they wanted to cash grab around the show, release was probably on back burner for a year, they decided to wait cause you can't make me believe the nothing burger of an update took nearly 2 years
Yes they definitely knew that new lma Jed’s would come to play the games after the show, with FO4 being the most similar and wanted to get in on it. I think it’s just bad timing and I don’t blame Bethesda for doing that, but they should have given more content in the update lol it’s so basic
The other factor here is Starfield. I'm like 99% sure this update also kept on being pushed back because Starfield was on fire and they needed everyone working on it to get it out in 2023. It's such an unfortunate combination of factors honestly, and worst thing is, nobody playing on PC wanted this update that only introduces more bugs and half baked features. We could have all been playing Fallout London for almost a month now, and if the mod was any good, that would have sky rocketed the sales of Fallout 4 on PC more than their 'next gen' update did.
Yeah. These people act like they own the franchise. And if Bethesda wanted, they could force the mod to be shut down or make it their own thing. But they wouldn't do that because that's stupid. Perfectly legal, but stupid.
@@marcuscain1377 You people defending Bethesda, in this instance of all times, are being total clowns. You MUST be gen z or later since you have no concept of game ownership. When people pay for a game it doesn't belong to the studio anymore. It belongs to the players, period.
@@majorpwner241 No it doesn't. Game companies can remove content from games whenever they want. Or even make those gsnes unavailable. Seems like you're the one who doesn't know how games work. We're not buying a game, we're buying a license for it.
All that matters is London comes out. No rush. Take your time. We all just want a great game when everything is said and done. Take it as a learning experience for next time.
I don’t think they sabotaged it purposely but that update was disappointing. They took the opportunity to make the most of the shows success but really didn’t capitalise on it at all. It was very basic. Surprising really.
@@marcuscain1377 yeah I don’t actually think it was purposeful but it is very odd that they rushed out a broken “next gen update” that had supposedly been on the way for well over a year now. It’s hard to believe that they’d release the update in this pathetic state.
I'm convinced they didn't deliberately sabotage it but I don't think they did anything to help or assist it either and therein lies the problem. Bethesda has always been painfully ignorant of what keeps them thriving, which is the modding community.
Especially how they responded to criticism on 76 and Starfield, they just attacked the fans rather than taking on their opinions. I don’t think they sabotaged it either but they are certainly becoming more distant from the fans.
Updates break mods, they ALWAYS have. Don’t fall for hate mongering, if you do, you’re a sheep just like the other side. Was the update a scam though? Yes. They didn’t upgrade anything, all they did was unlock the frame rate from 30fps, then set “performance mode” to not render certain objects until you got up close. “Upgrading” by nerfing.
Yes I agree, it wasn’t malicious but man, that update was such a let down. I don’t mind them doing it, but they should have given more. It kind of makes it redundant to even do it.
Eitjer M$ or Bethesda def sabotaged them, especially with such a sloppy (likely rushed) update. I expect mediocrity from them, but the update didn't even properly support 21:9, something they promoted as a key feature. Going silent on FO London for a while (they did promote it previously), coupled with the show, and busted update, someone def did this on purpose. I cant imagine either wanted some "mod" taking the spotlight after so much positive coverage surrounding the series.
The update was a massive letdown and seemed like it was made in two minutes. I get why they would do an update based off the back of the shows success, but it seems like so under cooked.
They both sabotaged themselves. FOLO was too big for Nexus and was set to come from GOG, which allows roll backs to previous versions. On top of that, a downgrading mod came out quickly after, including the option to keep the new CC content at the same time as downgrading!
Would this have anything to do with Next-Gen Update? I’m literally not bothering with the update. I’m worried it will undo the fixes I did to the game just to reduce crashes!
I don’t think it’s worth it. In the video I explain what content it comes with and it’s nothing worth the effort. Better to research before getting it, Fallout London or not lol
Stop. Just stop. Please reread your own comment. If you had half a brain, you'd realize how dumb this comment is. Why would Bethesda mess with modders? How did they sabotage New Vegas? What evidence do you have of that and how would that benefit them?
I think they probably sabatoged it. Like someone said earlier, the mod would have been better than the game, and Bethesda during this huge splurge on fallout didnt want to be outshined by others having people look at Bethesda and say shit this small crew of people can make abetter game a than a billion dollar studio.
I know Todd Howard did just say he doesn’t want a fallout outside of America. He wouldn’t want a mod that would outshine the base game though. Fallout London could and most likely will do that as well as starfield
I do think this was just bad timing and I’ll give Bethesda a pass on this one. What I’m curious about tho is why the FO London folks didn’t just go ahead and release the mod as is. If it’s as big as they claim it’s probably going to to big to fit on the memory allocated on consoles for mods anyway (unless they do what sim settlements did and offer a stripped down version for consoles). Those of us on pc have the option of freezing the game version or downgrading so the update wouldn’t have been an issue for us. That being said if it’s possible for this mod to run on consoles then I get why they decided to wait.
Yes they’ve said it won’t come out on console because it’s too big. They really need to just make it their own game lol. Sorry, I don’t think that clears anything up lol. If they could get it on consoles though, wow that’d be something special. Is there a way?
@@AVVGaming1 ahh well if they're PC exclusive....unless they're wanting to integrate some of the new stuff that came with the two updates Bethesda has pushed out then I can't see why they don't just go ahead and release as is since PC users can ignore or undo the updates.....I'm sure they have their reasons for it tho. As far as putting something like London on a console....short of barring something like a standard alone release in partnership with Bethesda, probably not. Xbox has a fixed amount of memory for mods (2gb I think) and getting something as big as London to fit into that won't happen sadly. The guys behind sim settlements 2 (kingath and his team) had to trim quite a bit of content out of their minds to get them to work on consoles
Nooo, the people at Fallout London sabotaged Fallout London. They withheld the mod somehow forgetting that the people playing the mod would be modders; modders who had already protected their game from updating. Meanwhile, Bethesda's "next gen" update has been a total disappointment on PC and modders who got blindsided by the update or took a chance on the update are now rolling their games back to pre-updated version which Fallout London won't run on. So who exactly is Fallout London for now? Good question.
Yes it’s all just a mess now. I think they’re trying to make the game for everyone as possible. I mean the game is massive and they want as many people to enjoy it as possible. But it’s going to keep happening like this. They’ll be another update then another etc
@@AVVGaming1 Exactly what I'm thinking. If Skyrim is any example, more updates will be coming at some point and every time Bethesda updates the game mods die. With Bethesda periodically breaking the game updating mods is unavoidable for mod creators. The folks at Fallout London should have just released the mod for the version of FO4 it was made for and then updated from there. I'm sure this is not an easy process, but they're going to have to do it every time Bethesda screws with the game anyway.
W take, it definitely should've launched on the 23rd, now for it to launch on the same day the story begins we need to wait unitl 2025. Rolling back game versions for mods is extremely commonplace nowadays, the London devs could've made Bethesda look pretty silly when everyone started downgrading from the """next gen""" update the day it released. Worst part of this whole situation is that in a year or two it's totally plausible Bethesda release another """next gen""" update where they hijack such grand user content like Fallout London, Fallout Miami etc and release it. It's one thing shoving some dumb guns down our throat but if they start to steal these passion projects which they treated with total disregard in development it will prove them to not just be lazy but parasitic in their approach to their fanbase.
@@AVVGaming1 It's understandable that they want to make their DLC accessible to as many players as possible, but excluding the players who won't update their game is a funny way of going about it me thinks. Unless and until there's a version for pre-"nextgen" FO4 I won't be playing Fallout London. I run 350+ mods; most of them old mods that won't be updated and there's no way I'm updating my game because there's simply no reason to. FO4 "nextgen" offers nothing that I don't have now and it's actually a step backward for a good many reasons.
Many Fallout Overhaul mods have had help from Bethesda devs for a while during production. If they had this much respect for mods, they would have no reason to "sabotage" it. This all just seems like a way to gain views through Bethesda hating. They definitely deserve it for many things, but this is not one of them. Edit: I do gotta respect your editing, though. Much better than those annoying videos of people playing some irrelevant game cursing and name-calling the majority of the time.
Thank you for the kind words. I think the thumbnail comes across as a bit harsh but I did same in the video it’s not Bethesdas fault. They can’t account for every mod, they just can’t. They gotta do what’s right for them and an update because of the series success makes perfect sense. It’s just an unlucky situation. I don’t think they sabotaged it at all.
See, I can’t blame Bethesda. Supporting mods can always be risky since game publishers have no control over hiring and development. Any controversy of the mod can retroactively hit them as well. For example, Fallout Frontier. If Bethesda supported that mod, they would be rolled up with the controversy as well. Odds are, Bethesda wanted to stay distant from mods they can’t control since due to the risk of it. So they may refuse official communication for that reason. I truly don’t believe Bethesda tried to sabotage them, just chose to distance themselves from them due to the potential problems it could cause.
That’s a very sensible comment. You’re absolutely right and in this world if they were associated with something that turned out to be bad they’d never shake it. Just the way of the world. Makes perfect sense to me. Awesome comment!
There's still no need for crappy half assed updates with nothing but shyte that mods have already done better anyways. Repeatedly breaking everyone's mod list is just garnering a LOT of hate for a dev which utterly relies on modding communities to make their games worth a damn.
They really do! I would pay for it too. I wish they could just make it its own game so then they don’t have to wait on Bethesda or work around their schedule. It deserves to be in charge of its own fate.
maybe BGS didnt knew about the launch (very unlikely). or they dont like people create probably another better fallout story than BGS themselfs. especially when they never talked with the modders. BGS rather ignoring them than embracing, is kinda weird. i hope there isnt too much work to be done for FL to be released.
They might have known but it’s not like they’ve got up on a big board around their offices. It’s just an unfortunate clash of dates but let’s hope they release it soon!
Todd Howard didn't want history to repeat, as in Fallout 3 was good, but New Vegas was better. London was gonna be the next New Vegas and I think it honestly scared Bethesda. New Vegas had 18 months, London has 5 years.
I’m playing new vegas right now. It’s still an unbelievable game and I still think it’s the best recent release. I can understand why they wouldn’t want a repeat. But really they should be letting London come out and NV and Learning from them! But I know they’re not ones to take on constructive criticism
Sure they did, so as far as I am concerned they were upset they were not making money off it and screwed these guys over, is Fallout London better then anything they would have come up with ? Half of their updates are from people who mod and or mod creators !
100%! All their release updates are literally just mods from other players. I couldn’t tell who made the mods for Skyrim anniversary edition because they didn’t put their name anyone in front. Fallout London I generally think is going to shine, and it’s going to get people talking.
Bethesda is entirely dependant on mods. Ain't nobody gonna buy their games if it isn't possible to play as Rainbow Dash shouting "Fus ro dah" at Thomas the Tank Engine standing on the roof of Simpsons house. They did sabotage the release, but definitely unintentionally.
Haha that’s true! Mods kept their games alive despite them aging people had a reason to keep playing. They owe their fans and modders a lot for their success
next gen update sabotaged itself, it brought literally nothing of interest or useful apart from very minor fixes which didn't even apply to my personal PC in the first place...
Yes the new update really was a let down. It offered so little in terms of content and more negatives than positives. If they’d offered new quests and good stuff I’d understand but it’s almost not even worth putting it out.
I'm sure there were a lot of people who were gonna get back into fallout 4 specifically to play fallout London. If they're anything like me, they're just playing new vegas instead
Guess what I’ve been playing all day? lol NV! My favourite and it’s such a good game. My next video is going to be on NV. I was just thinking today, how I never get tired of it. I feel like I’m in the world too. It’s tough to put into words.
Didn’t they announce the next gen update like 2 years ago? Edit: yes. Yes we were. Was supposed to be released in 2023 but typical Bethesda couldn’t even get this out on time. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did drop it around then to fuck the London team, they’re about to be showed up by a team of modders. They are salty as fuck about it cause they know they can’t release anything even close to that level of quality today. Starfield is a prime example.
Yes starfield was a massive disappointment and they really do appear to be doing the minimum required. The only reason the mods are compared to them is because they are being more lazy with their game development. I mean this update really is a sad thing to give players. It’s so bare minimum it’s not even funny
I am so sick of Bethesda's bullshit. Microsoft need to get rid of Todd, get rid of Emil. Todd keeps simplifying the gameplay of each new title and Emil does the same with the lore. Both of them are friends and NOTHING will change without these grifters getting the boot. The Elder Scrolls, one of my favourite franchises, is doomed with current leadership. It genuinely angers me. On the subject of the video though, I am certain that Bethesda were sitting on the '""next-gen""" update for a while, waiting until the Fallout TV show to come to finally release it. Unfortunately, this coincided with FOLON's release date. Technically, Bethesda has no obligation to communicate with modders. But they should, especially to such talented and passionate modders.
I agree with your take on the release date of the update and the show. I have done my research on Todd Howard and Emil and was going to do a video on them. I agree 100% with what you’re saying and there’s actual proof that they’re doing it. They almost think of their fans as not bright so don’t want to write well in case it goes over their heads. Heck of a statement from an actual writer.
I think people believing Bethesda willing sabotaged London and ruined mods on purpose are just blinded by hate. They must simply ask - why? Why would they do that? Be mad at Bethesda for logical reasons, such as their incompetent practices and false promises, you don't have to make up other reasons to be mad at them, there's already enough true stuff to be mad at. This "update" was useless, unwanted, and added nothing of value, and it's technically a downgrade as there's little visual enhancing and performance is only slightly better because some graphics and LODs have been turned down. They essentially turned the graphics down for better performance, that's not an update, that's a setting most people have in their games already.
That’s strong words from you Todd! Is that a confession? lol jk but all jokes aside, yes the update was serious let down and did not make up for the loss of London. If it’d been amazing an update then fair enough but it’s such a let down and appears lazy.
I wasn’t impressed by the latest upgrade as it’s not added anything mind blowing. I would have hoped for more. Such a shame because this mod is going to be unreal
I can see why some people feel that Bethesda tried to sabotage Fallout London, but I don't think they were being malicious just very stupid. It's true that their games wouldn't even be half as popular if it wasn't for the mods, and as someone who always mods his Bethesda games it's very frustrating that an update to the game breaks all the mods. It was a big problem with the release of the creation club, every time new content came out for it it would update the .exe file for skyrim breaking the mods. Even though I never bought any CC conten until anniversary edition came out I still got those updates. So yeah I can understand why people think Bethesda is doing it on purpose. Because the modders and fans have been yelling at them for years to cut out with this s^it and they haven't. But again I just think it's incompetence not malicious intend. Can you tell I'm upset by it I was so looking forward to play Fallout London hahaha.
Haha I was upset too! I am still upset lol good to see you again as well! I think they definitely deserve some love for the work they’ve put in and after watching their videos showing their progress and what they’re doing, I was in awe. It is beyond anything I’ve seen and it’s true gaming passion!
@@AVVGaming1 Absolutely, based on what we've seen Fallout London is going to be awesome. I hope they can release it soon it's going to be amazing, I really want to play it.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Bethesda did sabotage it. While I am interested in F:London perhaps the greater good would be for modders to abandon Bethesda products and stop giving them free work. We can all dream right?😉
I think the dream would be for that team to have created their own game, without the reliance on Bethesda. Right now, it’s just a mod. It’s had enough work to be its own game, but it’s still a mod and so it answers to Bethesda’s tune. It would be the dream for them to have their own game and own freedom to create what they want. It won’t happen, but just like you said it’s nice to dream lol
@@AVVGaming1 Right on! Right on! I said the same thing for a similar project. I admire their passion and imagination and in the future I hope they use that for their own new world
Haha I’m not to amazed by the update. I think they could have released it earlier but with the St George’s day being the first day in game, they chose to wait. Just unlucky.
It's absolutely sabotage and the London team Should release the project for the pre update branch of the game and blame Bethesda for the inconvenience and then work on the next gen patch letter.
Not a bad shout at all! I know they’re so excited about it. They’ve put so much in it’s almost big enough to be its own game, actually it is. It’s almost a shame it’s a mod and not just a separate title. Would be great if it could become its own game one day like that one game the lost city which was originally a Skyrim mod
I have a personnal theory that I came up with while on a gaming bender with a friend Bethesda Hates Fallout >Make a game that millions love/like/dislike/hate >After a while, you make a game after the other one, it blew it's launch and practically almost imploded on itself >Spend an odd 5(?) years (Maybe more) trying to patch the bodged POS that they created. >Then the show comes out about it, people like it. So they go back to it >Capitalize by trying to improve the previous game >Rush the update because there was like a month deadline, Fuck up the improvement not just for modders but also normal players by bricking saves, and poorly adding support It's my thought that Todd hates Fallout and what it has become to Bethesda, or is just plain incompetence from the Bethesda team. As if they learned nothing from 76 My theory could be false. And it could be disproven. But the way they fumbled the bag is still baffling
Do you know what? I’m going to do a video on this very subject soon! Because I honestly believe a lot of people at Bethesda are not happy with what they’re making. Like I don’t think they like the games they are making, but can’t stop because of how successful fallout 4 has been sales wise! Got a lot of clips I’ve found where they have done interviews and it’s like hidden meanings
I feel like it's an excuse from team FOLON to push back the release date without taking responsibility. Since literally a day after release there were mods made for fallout 4 to revert back to pre next gen update, fixing f4se and all mods. Nothing is stopping them from releasing with a dependency on this mod.
Yes we will see. I know some people have said that and I know they’ve pushed back release quite a few times. Not sure though but I think it’s just generally unlucky timing.
@@AVVGaming1 Judging by their announcement video he seems to be quite enthusiastic that the next gen update breaks it. Their mod is nowhere near ready and they want patreon money, I mean it's a pretty funny coincidence they link their patreon in the description of that announcement. In their announcement their reasoning for not releasing the entire game sized mod they spent countless years on is because they don't want the installation process to be complicated, does that make sense to you in any sort of way? Even more suspicious is the fact not a single person in the comment section of that video says the obvious - that this is a bad excuse. Yet if we look at the comment responses to people who hint at it, we learn that there's a surprisingly high amount of people who think this is an excuse.
There are NO "mods" to revert Fallout 4 to a pre-nextgen state. There are a series of downloads that the user needs to make via the steam console. It is a manual process.
@@garygrant91 Untrue, there are mods. Some just makes that manual process automatic, but they quickly developed into patching the files instead. I'm not sure how it works, but with the files patched and an additional mod you get access to the new data while keeping mod availability.
YES we can be mad that Bethesda updated their who knows how many year old game!!! The game has been out for so long and they stopped releasing updates for so long that they should be legally barred from updating there game because it only messes things up
The problem is that Todd Howard can't stand being shown up, especially by a group of "modders". If Fallout London had released, Todd's bosses at Microsoft would have seen just how much of a (censored) job Todd actually does.
Yeah Todd is a bit of a jealous person and from what I’ve seen, fallout London is going to be everything we ever wanted from a fallout game all combined into one! It looks unreal and I reckon it will be better than 4…no pressure on the devs though
Nice to see you giving the FOLON team some love! We discussed Dean Carter's evident distress just about a week ago. I'd had a reminder of the original release date up on in a corner of my PC screen for months! Haven't watched the vid yet - this comment is for the algorithm!
I actually even address that because some people reacted saying he was complaining and I disagree completely. We’d all be upset and the work they’ve put into this mod is unbelievable. I’m so excited to play it. And thanks for helping with the old algorithm:)
@@BxPanda7 Exactly, but my fear is they'll copyright strike it.
That won't happen, morroblivion exists right now which is morrowind full game on oblivion engine, it just means that you will probably have to legally own both games. Which is what was the case before. Edit: typos
@ImmersiveGamer83 Yeah, but Bethesda wasn't putting up their own remaster at the same time, plus Microsoft owns them now.
Beth sabotages their own games with every update. lol
Haha that’s not wrong at all!
The new Starfield update made it so I cant steal any ships. The game softlocks now as soon as I make it my new home ship.
@@Rubix003 wow I bet that’s really annoying!
@@AVVGaming1 i boarded a ship on a new character that was attacking a civillian settlement, ship took off... that character is now stuck in orbit. If i land, it makes that ship my homeship and locks the game... very annoying indeed.
@@Rubix003 wow that’s such a pain. Sorry that happened but it Happens a lot more than it should
Bethesda didn't just throw the update together in 5 minutes.
DID YOU MEAN: The Frontier
Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity.
Haha that’s exactly true!
What Bethesda should have done:
-make a new branch of the game so the original isn't touched by the update
-migrate the game to the fo76 engine
-improve graphics
-improve gameplay mechanics (like dialogue choices showing what your character will say for example)
-60+fps physics fix
-proper widescreen support
-fixing the multitude of engine bugs modders cannot fix
-fixing massive bugs that have been known for years
-increase stability
-add co-op multiplayer
-add some of the weapons/armors/settlement objects from fo76
-make a new expansion/DLC that adds a few questlines and a new place to explore
Even if they had done just 1 or 2 of those it would have been a win.
But instead what we got:
-broken mods
-deleted modlists
-low effort, sub-par creation club mods
-increased loading times
-hilariously bad widescreen (just widescreen, can't call that support lol)
-slightly worse performance
-a couple minor bugfixes
-support for current-gen consoles
I don't know if it's malice or complete and utter incompetence combined with an unmeasurable amount of laziness, but they made all the wrong decisions and couldn't even properly do the little they did set out to do.
Next Fallout London release: "It's finally time."
Bethesda: "Fallout 5 is here!"
Bethesda strikes me as the kind of company that do what the fans want, at the worst of times, and 50/50 chance in the worst way.
Haha! Awesome comment! Would be so funny if they’d had fallout 5 ready just waiting for London to be ready lol I agree with the rest of your comment too!
I wouldn’t put it past Bethesda 🥲
Yup lol and then that mod now falls down the priorities list lol you should apply to work in admin there
Bethesda does what the fans want AT THE LAST EXTREME MINUTE.
And yes. Tom is petty. He would 100% plan it in order to sabotage Fallout London.
being a man of kent , i was looking forward to finally play it .but alas a bad timed update really pissed me off
I just wish Fallout: London was it's own game and not a mod.
We all do! It deserves to become its own game free from the control of Bethesda but as it’s a mod they will always be at their mercy :(
It looks like unfortunate timing for Bethesda, i won't fault them for it. if they were after this mod, i'd think a c and d would've happened ages ago.
@@pretzelgravy995Bethesda could have involved the fallout london team before the release.
I would rather have the mod for the game version before the update b/c it just made the game worse and there are roll back mods for that
You think it made it worse? I haven’t played it enough to see. I’ve seen the graphics and it’s okay, not blown my mind for sure.
Why would they do that?
Anyone wanting to Fallout London still needs to purchase Fallout 4.
Yes I agree and that’s what I said in the video too. It was just unlucky timing was all.
Look at Starfield Bethesda isn’t the smartest company lol
It will make them look bad if it's more loved than fo4...
you can buy fallout 4 for around 5 - 10 bucks in a key store easy.
Bethesda dont want someone to success with ther IP's (basicly it is not ther IP) but they are toxic and if you dont know what is going on there then research it.
There is a Reason why Ther games are so Dog Shit nowdays.
Yes.
OF COURSE!! We absolutely would lose fallout london to an update that basically amounts to be more horse armor!! IT JUST WORKS!!
I agree, they are jealous.
Personally I don't think they did it out of envy but greed. I think the update was in the works for a while but the TV shows positive reception and the uptick in Fallout players, new and old, made them rush to get the update out to cash in on the hype.
How do you know fallout London is better if you haven’t played it yet? That’s a bit of counting your chickens before they hatch
@joker6558 Maybe you are right but this is bethesda we are talking about the stupidiest company ever.
I stand right beside your comment and agree with you.
i just hope they launch a version of folon for those who decided to not update fallout 4
Me too! I think it’s going to come down to time. How long would it take to get it ready for the new update? If too long, it may be better just send it out now for those who don’t have the updates.
So the Americans shot the Limeys obsessed with swords and melee combat like Indiana Jones? Color me shocked.
Lol
Not like there would be enough guns to go around. You have to have men on your island to have guns.
Whether it was malice or stupidity, Bethesda is both.
I didn’t like the way they made starfield, just wasn’t my thing procedurally generated worlds. But I really didn’t like the way they responded to comments of fans who gave feedback. Treated them like fools who didn’t know right.
@@AVVGaming1I mean if you preordered starfield you kinda are lol I got it from someone else but even I had a bad feeling about it
Todd Howard is a weasel, the money he could make just having the most beloved moddable games in hisotry outstrips his pitiful vision of trying to control and half ass monetise the true creative work that happens on skyrim and fallout 4. It personifies American ideological and ethical bankruptcy., nevermind it's shortsighted crippling of long term brand profitability
I’m going to do a video on it very soon. Bethesdas attitude towards their fans has continuously gotten worse over time. There’s proof and it’s not looking good.
Todd is just the figurehead, he doesn’t do anything
Considering Bethesda have literally done something like that before with the original Prey sequel, I wouldn't put it past them.
Did they really? The rabbit hole goes deeper lol
Bethesda always screwing the fans any time they can
I’m not sure if they intentionally screwed them over but from the research I’ve done, it’s quite evident that they don’t have much respect for their fans. A video I’m working on, just not sure when to do it.
the update really didn't add anything, making it worse
I 100% agree with this. It was obviously just to do something after the shows success but to give so little, why do it at all? So disappointing
Because they don't want everyone to see how much the base game sucks. Could you imagine if a fan mod one-upped them like that?!
Yeah they announced the next gen update like 2 years ago, it just took forever because fallout 4 is a rat’s nest under the hood lol
Oh, and of course despite taking years the next gen update has royally fucked up stability of the game
Bethesda kept saying the update was coming with no specific time window. They just happen to announce it after FOLON announces their date? I’m not one to be conspiratorial but considering the state of the “next gen update” on release they clearly rushed out the update for some reason…
Problem is, the update done Jack shit for PC players so I would've gladly taken London over the update any day of the week.
Jesus christ you people with your conspiracy theories.
COVID Hit the UK in Early 2020. So while yes COVID started in very late 2019 it wasn't until 2020 when things went downhill real fast.
It was like a weird phase in life where everything just stopped and time disappeared. It was a horrible time for everyone and even me personally
@@AVVGaming1 I was University at the time. My whole Uni life was ruined for 2 years. It was awful.
@@OJJeffers I feel your pain. That’s an experience you only get once and it was ruined. I started a new job, lost it because of Covid, then couldn’t get furloughed because I had a new job. Horrible time but look at us! We made it out!
I do believe.
Bethesda could have at any point contacted the mod author, had them sign a NDA and had them prep the required files.
Yes they really should listen to this feedback. Every Pc owner says it and they just aren’t listening to feedback
@@AVVGaming1 honestly like idk why they didn’t just do it like the Skyrim special edition. There’s no way they didn’t know this would piss off a decent amount of the fan base
Why dont they just add the downgrader mod as part of the prerequisite? If youre modding anyway, one more wont be a deal breaker
Fallout should stay in America. I want to go back out west where the rangers roam.
Yes the fact it’s in London isn’t the selling point for me. It’s how it looks in terms of content. Even if it was a fallout new York or something I’d be just as excited
I wonder how many people considered buying FO4 because of London but now there's no way they'll give Bethesda a penny
I’m not sure, but I know a lot of people are excited for it. It looks amazing
I hope they make their own game!
I think they should at this point. Didn’t it happen with a Skyrim mod? The lost city
"Next gen update is a hit with the fans?" Really? It was a joke.
That’s what that article said. It wasn’t a hit with me lol
@@AVVGaming1 why quote an article instead of looking at the waves of fan backlash?
@@macrocosm2778 yes I’ve seen that since! The backlash is certainly there. I try to be balanced in my approach and not too negative lol

@@ChipsChallenge95 I can guarantee that. I mean it’s as big as a full game so it’s worth it!
Yes they did because they see the hype and wanted to make one there selves
This mod looks unbelievable to be fair! I am so excited to get my hands on it!
This is just upsetting. I need a nuka-colaaaaaaaa !
Sheffield! I swear I already gave you one!!!
Just don't update fallput and bring it out on old version
They might the right play now but I know they’ve said they don’t want to do that. It mentions it in his video on his UA-cam page he wants for next gen now
Am I the only one who thinks Microsoft shut down the studios as punishment for bathesda for not having a game ready for the fallout tv show and not even have one in development yet. Keep in mind they did release a shitty game that was overhyped and I’m sure their pockets see it was over hyped
No. This has been a long time coming because game studios had been hiring a lot of underqualified people since covid.
Which studio did they close down?
@@AVVGaming1 Arkane Studios and Tango Studios were sone of the companies that got shut down.
I think that might be the best outcome now. Just to get it out and tweak it like you said from there
If this gets sabotaged by Bethesda I'm never giving them another dime.
It wasn't sabotaged by Bethesda. It's the mod team's fault for not realizing the update would mess with mods.
It’s still going to come out it’s just delayed for now.
Bethesda is already on my do not buy list.
I think it's an own goal only the likes of Bethesda is capable of. Loads of people are now aware of how they roll and have looked at the player base who seem to view the Co as a bit of an unexploded bomb who are dangerous lol.
Yes that’s not a good look but it’s notorious for doing more damage than good lol
I believe they would since they can't seem to make another good fallout game themselves.
I think it’s the writing they have been struggling with and the RPG elements. It’s very very basic and needs work for sure.
@@EatThePath-7 Very true.
Nah Bethesda aren't required permission by fans to update their own game. That's really end of story lol
Yeah. These people act like they own the franchise. And if Bethesda wanted, they could force the mod to be shut down or make it their own thing. But they wouldn't do that because that's stupid. Perfectly legal, but stupid.
Yes I agree. That’s the risk you take when modding, it’s not your game and so you can’t be in control of it.
Yes and I reckon it’ll be worth the wait. Based on what they’ve put out, it should be an unreal experience. They really put their heart into it.!
It’s maybe the only thing that makes sense? The “next gen update” was so far from anything next gen it’s genuinely pathetic.
How? What benefit would Bethesda have to ssbatoge this mod?
@@marcuscain1377They don't really make sense
I don’t think they sabotaged it purposely but that update was disappointing. They took the opportunity to make the most of the shows success but really didn’t capitalise on it at all. It was very basic. Surprising really.
@@marcuscain1377 yeah I don’t actually think it was purposeful but it is very odd that they rushed out a broken “next gen update” that had supposedly been on the way for well over a year now. It’s hard to believe that they’d release the update in this pathetic state.
Did? They are still are xd
No.
It’s just a mess for everyone involved really
Yes and that is a valid option. I’m sure they’re figuring out next steps now.
Yes, quite a few fixes will break if you update, don’t sacrifice a ton of the mods available for a less than mediocre ‘update’
Fallout 4 new vegas is what i m waiting 4 for so so so long
Someone told me that Bethesda poached team members from that team and so it was put on hold permanently?
Big Yes
Just like what they did to FNV.
Bethesda dont like other people to overshadow their success if they have that many.
Stop. Just stop. Please reread your own comment. If you had half a brain, you'd realize how dumb this comment is. Why would Bethesda mess with modders? How did they sabotage New Vegas? What evidence do you have of that and how would that benefit them?
Fallout New Vegas is my personal favourite in the series!
Problem is that the next-gen update is total dogshit and is of course broken and buggy as hell... bruh....
Yes, I get them wanting to make an update after the shows success but it really wasn’t even worth it. It’s so rushed it’s not funny.
I think they probably sabatoged it. Like someone said earlier, the mod would have been better than the game, and Bethesda during this huge splurge on fallout didnt want to be outshined by others having people look at Bethesda and say shit this small crew of people can make abetter game a than a billion dollar studio.
Yes that would be a bad look if it happened!
I doubt they sabotaged anything. Don’t attribute to malice what could be explained by incompetence. This is Bethesda after all
Yes and in the video I did say that it’s most likely just unlucky. I don’t think they intentionally would do that. Just unlucky all around really.
@@AVVGaming1 I know, and that’s a reasonable conclusion. I’m just saying I feel like people are all to quick to jump to conspiracies these days.
they were probably working on a london fallout themselves and had to scrap loads of work and petty-fucked the fan project.
I know Todd Howard did just say he doesn’t want a fallout outside of America. He wouldn’t want a mod that would outshine the base game though. Fallout London could and most likely will do that as well as starfield
@@AVVGaming1 tod how
I do think this was just bad timing and I’ll give Bethesda a pass on this one.
No. Release it on last gen. It was ready. Release it.
They want to wait until it’s compatible for the new update I know they did say that. Whether that’s right or wrong is down to interpretation
Yeah, games like Black Desert Online won't support mods because it is updated frequently.
Oh god, I try not to remember that god awful mod
There's still no need for crappy half assed updates with nothing but shyte that mods have already done better anyways. Repeatedly breaking everyone's mod list is just garnering a LOT of hate for a dev which utterly relies on modding communities to make their games worth a damn.
I would pay for this mod! it looks so amazing, i really appreciate the developers, they deserve much praise!
This is a dumb comment.
You serious?
London will likely end up being the next The Frontier lol
Bruh Bethesda don’t give a fuck about modders they would have to care first lmao
Haha! After how they responded to starfield comments, they’ve got a ways to go before that happens lol
If they didn't care about mods why would they allow them for consoles and even go as far to protect them??
Bethesda has a huge ego and is very disconnected with the fanbase.
Extremely and only getting further away with the way they act, speak and do things.
Been playing "tale of two wastelands" myself. Currently working through fallout 3
this is literally the only time I was considering playing fallout 4, as the base game and DLC is utter tr*sh but now they can't even give me that haha
lol you mean for London? It looks absolutely amazing! I’m getting new vegas vibes
@@AVVGaming1 Yeah, oh good. New Vegas was the real deal compared to FO4
Yes they did. Their update was completely empty and pointless. And just happened to be right when London comes out.
@@TheMysterieRPGguy well I’ll be doing a video on it, then we can catch up in the comments section as normal and have an in-depth back and forth.
@@AVVGaming1 Sounds like a good plan.
I admire their passion and imagination and in the future I hope they use that for their own new world
FOLO made a huge mistake, they should have released it on time. The update is shit
I have a personnal theory that I came up with while on a gaming bender with a friend
Bethesda Hates Fallout
>Make a game that millions love/like/dislike/hate
>After a while, you make a game after the other one, it blew it's launch and practically almost imploded on itself
>Spend an odd 5(?) years (Maybe more) trying to patch the bodged POS that they created.
>Then the show comes out about it, people like it. So they go back to it
>Capitalize by trying to improve the previous game
>Rush the update because there was like a month deadline, Fuck up the improvement not just for modders but also normal players by bricking saves, and poorly adding support
It's my thought that Todd hates Fallout and what it has become to Bethesda, or is just plain incompetence from the Bethesda team. As if they learned nothing from 76
My theory could be false.
I understand him being upset, I'M upset and I'm not involved in the project.
Haha I got upset too! You just have to feel for someone who is giving so much and going through setbacks. We’ve all been there just in different ways.
@@garygrant91 Whatever, doesn't change a thing.
@@garygrant91 Untrue, there are mods. Some just makes that manual process automatic, but they quickly developed into patching the files instead. I'm not sure how it works, but with the files patched and an additional mod you get access to the new data while keeping mod availability.
Great analysis. Make sure to touch that like button for this vid guys
Thank you :) that means so much!
YES we can be mad that Bethesda updated their who knows how many year old game!!!
The game has been out for so long and they stopped releasing updates for so long that they should be legally barred from updating there game because it only messes things up
Yes and if they are going to update it I feel like they should have given more than what they did.
No they didn't they just didn't care or were ignorant of a massive mod in the works.
It was just negligence or ignorance not purposeful.
Exactly! That’s why I said that in the video. It was just unlucky timing in reality. The team will rally and come back stronger.
Man has the biggest ego, no easy feat given how english voice actors in anime/neil druckman exist
