I’ve been going through some things that make it very hard to carry on - but listening to these videos, and getting lost in the stories, has given me some very necessary breaks from the struggle. I just wanted you to know that your content is very appreciated.
I subscribed a couple days ago when you were at 2.5K subs. You've already gained another ~500 or so. I can see this going a lot higher. Your story/lore videos are so clear and organized compared to others out there. I especially love how you go in chronological order, even if it means going back hundreds of years. Because of you I understand Soma, Senua, Metro games, Amnesia games, and Dishonored 1. Thank you and please continue.
Not an intentional spoiler, but fun fact, the game doesn't register an "over abundance" of shards for purposes of changing the story (despite warning you that getting too many might be harmful to you) nor does it matter how many you get rid of. Really wish it had an effect on the story, but fun game with cool lore otherwise.
All bookshelf entries: bloodstained.forums.net/thread/5115 All in game dialogue: bloodstained.forums.net/thread/5116 Food for thought. Gremory was in control of Gebel and it takes teaming up with Zangetsu to outwit her plans. It's fun to think about how else Gremory has schemed and for how long to summon her master to Earth. Was the discovery of the white crystal slyly revealed by her to manipulate the Guild? Did she puppet the events that lead to the first summoning 10 years prior to RotN? When the event was thwarted by Alfred taking Miriam out of the equation, did she begin a backup plan? Were Dominique's parents lost by Gremory's many hands? Was her path to corruption part of Gremory's schemes? Once corrupted, I strongly believe a person's motives are no longer their own. Gebel shows this enough, but there is also unused dialogue that suggests the same for Miriam. The oath Miriam and Gebel make is to address this corruption of wills. Dominique didn't die, she was banished back to Hell when fused with Bael. Is she there awaiting rescue and redemption? Gebil's shard covered form did not shatter. Did Johannes move Gebil's crystal statue body from the castle? Was Zangetsu taken to another dimension with Gremory's hands pulling him to the world of Curse of the Moon? There is so much that can still be developed with this story and it's fun for me to talk about. We often do at the game's discord discord.gg/bloodstained
Thank you for this. Beat the game years ago but wanted to refresh myself on the lore. After going through it all it makes me wonder how they could continue the series. One thing is that since the Liber Logaeth was meant to summon angels then that could be something done. Since a lot of the story revolves around alchemy I can imagine it would continue that motif. Mainly that it could and should continue on forging the magnum opus and the philosopher's stone. They've represented two of the steps with the white crystal formed by humans as albedo and the red crystals formed by demons representing rubedo. With that context it makes sense why the white and the red stones are drawn to each other. Now we still need citrinitas and nigredo. Perhaps in a new game there's an invasion of angels using the Liber Logaeth and they have yellow crystals representing citrinitas. As each crystal comes from a different realm then nigredo would need to come from a different realm as well. Maybe some "void" realm or underworld of sorts.
Was always intimidated by Metroidvanias, never touched one until 2 years ago, grabbed this standalone title, made by the man who defined the genre, and had such a blast. Since then I've conquered Samus Returns, Fusion and Dread and working on Hollow Knight now with plans to grab Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth in the near future.
Glad I found this video, my dad got showed me the game and then I decided to play it but after the underground castle part I had no idea what the lore of the story was going
Hey, lore buds! Check the Community page for some channel/creator updates if interested (ua-cam.com/users/TiptoeTheTankcommunity )! So the entire conflict happened because the Alchemists felt threatened by the potential of machines, but then the machines never become relevant again within the story, even though the Alchemists themselves ultimately failed to resolve the problems they created, with some even looking for a power beyond the human/divine spirit? Definitely a weird way to progress a story, although very interesting nontheless. Really enjoyed your presentation of it. Great job!
All the footage was captured by me during my complete run of the full game. If you give me a timestamp I can give you info on the area that shows in the video 👌
I'd started another series that was intended to include Alan Wake (I don't want to give any spoilers for which series, just in case), but it sadly didn't really catch on so it was discontinued. But there's been a recent resurgence of interest in that particular series. I would definitely consider going back and reviving it for a part 2+/lore video.
I get it. The game was pretty interesting. While some might badmouth the story, it IS a metroidvania. More emphasis tends to be placed on the gameplay, but I think this game hit a good balance. Here’s hoping for Bloodstained ROTN 2
"When we return to the sight of the sword, it would seem, that somebody has reclaimed their weapon"

Definitely feels weird hearing myself but definitely enjoyed doing this

Funny how this all started with “They took our jobs!”
So the next logical step is to try to end the world. Take notes everyone.

Fun fact: hitting the ground if you’re already in the air resets your attack animation, so with that tech what you will.
I really wish that Bloostained would get a sequel sometime sooner than later.

Please tell me that I'm not the only one whose brain consistently mentally transforms Zangetsu into Senketsu (from Kill la Kill).
Yo how does a video of such high quality have so little engagement duuuude

Great lore video, I love castlevania and metroidvania games.
Glad I found this video, my dad got showed me the game and then I decided to play it but after the underground castle part I had no idea what the lore of the story was going
A beautiful recounting of a great game.
Yet again, another wonderful lore filled video, keep it up!
Just finished bloodstained and needed a vid like this! Subscribed 🙂
I enjoyed hearing about the lore, I played the game a few times, but some things are easy to miss when it's in books.
What an under rated game. I'm currently playing it again
Loved playing the game (multiple times) and that video was a great watch to reminisce it ! Ty :)
Great video 👌. I will be looking forward to more lore here.
You could do one of these on Quantum Break or Alan Wake! That could be cool!
Still CRIMINALLY underated
So alchemists almost doomed the world because they were angry at the machines TEKIN DER YOOOBS!
Just picked up this game AND subscribed to your channel. Great video....also showed ne a few game play tricks!
I always replay this game around Halloween.
That's odd cuz when I was playing the game I gathered a bunch of crystals And Miriam never became corrupt.
It’s different in the lore, and that would be a TERRIBLE game mechanic.
I just found you but your videos are so entertaining. Will definitely keep watching

Excellent vid. Would love to see you play through classic mode at least.
Fantastic

Was all that in the game? I played through it three or four times and I don't remember any of the industrial era bits.
All the footage was captured by me during my complete run of the full game. If you give me a timestamp I can give you info on the area that shows in the video 👌
@@Viryl_TV sorry for the confusion, my question was about the pre-game lore involving the Alchemist guild.
I have no clue what this game is, I just like listening to you tell the story.
No no no the story of bloodstained is thicc thighs save lives. You do have a very interesting take on it though and this is a great video.
Food for the algorithm god

Where is the horse? Why is there a horse? I don't like the horse. The head is so wrong. It should not be there.

I heard people saying this game has a bad story, but I dont think so, I think these characters and word have plenty of potential.
