this is such an interesting way to frame the lore it is rare to see videos covering everything is order like this rather than several videos on each a different topic.
@@CSM100MK2 i actually agree with them tbh, bloodborne is usually segmented not in order or from what i have seen/remember. probably because it usually gets confusing to not backtrack
Hey. Hey. How you doin'? Let us remember that we're here for the love of lore and storytelling. Big thanks goes out to Justin Bregg (www.twitch.tv/justinbregg ) for acting as the Bloodborne Guide Guy. Another thanks goes to Viryl (www.twitch.tv/viryl_tv ) for helping capture Chalice Dungeon footage. More to come! -Tip
Thank you a ton! I found you randomly while trying to decide whether to buy HZD a few years late. You really nail storytelling, and you recognize the good stuff! And you have now covered the single best lore/story/gameplay combo ever released. Imo the deep yet deliberate implications of Bloodborne lore are greater than Dark Souls or Elden Ring, it's a small slice of a larger story and setting that are cosmic in scale. They had to write so much unseen supporting lore just to have continuity for 2 random items or characters. So thank u for doing the best game ever. (I may be a bit biased) A hoonter is never alone.
It's funny, I played the game, didn't get anything, watched one lore video. Apparently I'm now an expert, because I found myself wanting to "correct" you for any differences in interpretation. Silly of me, obviously. Thanks for the video!
There are some bits that I don’t agree with your interpretation but that’s the beauty of these games, everyone has their one story. But I really enjoyed your interpretation of the lore!
"everyone has their one story" Only in the english descriptions, that is unnecessarily vague and in Dark Souls 1 they straight up tell you another story. Japanese descriptions are half literal and direct, half perspectives of people related to those descriptions and it's never something related to the "whole of the story", and rather their take. But i will die on a hill before i see someone searching for the japanese texts. So yeah. "INTERPRETATIONS", i guess.
Bloodborne holds a special place in my heart. When I was 16-17 my brother and I spent at least half of the summer playing through it. That was a great summer.
IT'S FINALLY OUT AHHHHH!!!! Definitely worth the wait! You set up the back story so so well! Although, one thing I would disagree was Ludwig calling for the execution of the Vilebloods. I would say it's mostly the higher echelon of the Healing Church (sans Laurence) who ordered it and Logarius and his men were more than happy to carry it out. Regardless, I'm liking your take on it so far. Can't wait for the next part!
You found a subbed for life!! I work on the road 50-60 hours of week so I listen to a lot of podcasts and channels like yours! Can’t wait to binge all your content
My first experience with Bloodborne was jumping straight into these Chalice Dungeons for the footage. It was rough, but fun to learn. Amazing video as always 👏
I really enjoy this. The manner and cadence of the narration makes me think of a scholar, in the remnants of a crumbling library, regaling the tale of their research to the traveller who has stumbled across them. Very fitting for Bloodborne. Fantastic work!
To quote a tragic Sith Lord: "I was looking forward to this." :D The time of Soulsborne Lore is nigh! Bloodborne, such an amazing Lovecraftian game, I love the vague lore^^
Absolutley LOVE how you approach each game differently and whatever way is best FOR said title. It isn't copy paste like a lot of 'recap' channels. This is a genuine lote channel.
I really like the way you organized it into a definitive story and timeline. Makes it more interesting to digest even if we cant prove a single timeline/narrative true
I gotta say I love your style on these videos after binge-watching all the way to this one while grinding out content in other games. The change of the tone and mood in how you retell the lore and narratives of these games based on whether they play out more as horror stories or children's tales (lowkey felt like I was six again during the Ori video) is all truly a nice touch in presentation.
This was great, loved your narration and thorough clear explanation of confusing aspects of the lore. I’m excited to continue this series even though im quite late I did just finish my first play through of bloodborne a few weeks ago. I’m addicted to this lore.
I'm glad this is your next project. I'm not super interested in playing Bloodborne myself, but I'm happy to hear about the lore and weird storytelling that it contains!
I usually never comment on videos or channels but this hands down one of my favorite channels. The inflection in your voice is comforting and helps me sleep at night. Thanks for all you do ladies!
To be fair, I doubt the Pthumerians lived underground... it’s just all that’s left of their civilization are the dungeons deep underground (this isn’t an “um actually” because it’s totally up for interpretation, just wanted to show engagement... this is a great video!)
@johnsilverman656 I always assumed due to them and their ancestors always being pasty that at some point, they lived underground. They started as protectors. It's hard to protect something that's not close.
I love well crafted video game lore. Your channel is exceptional at telling the story of video games in a way that completely eclipses attempts by other creators. I appreciate your approach and that you avoid the pitfall of simply creating an “Explained”-type lore video like so many others. This is my new favorite channel and I’ve been binge watching. Kudos to you.
I love this! Bloodborne is my favorite game of all time. With Lies of P coming out I have been CRAVING new Bloodborne content. So happy I stumbled upon this Eldrich Truth! Bravo!
Please do a storytelling of the Legacy of Kain. I feel like you would genuinely enjoy the story there is to offer, as it is on a Shakespearian level, and the series is underrated and fading from knowledge
This was a really good telling of the events of bloodborne although missing a few things which is inevitable unless this video be hours long but very cohesive and very well done….bravo
I've been watching different bloodborne and darksouls lore vids (outside of playing the games) for a long time, but this is the first lore video I've watched that actually made everything click and make sense inside my head. I feel like I finally understand everything lol 🙌 the storytelling-style this channel uses is suprisingly helpful at breaking things down for my adhd brain while still being entertaining and relaxing to listen to. Absolutely love this channel ❤️
Just discovered your content and this is amazing in so many different ways, and thank you for explaining things the way you do makes it much easier to understand the stories and lore. Please keep it up this is awesome stuff you’re doing !!
I'd like to point out to all those interested in Bloodborne lore, I suggest checking out Redgrave's The Paleblood Hunt he really does not get enough credit for his work.

Quite the contrary. The player character, in their ignorance, tears Rom a new one and unleashes the nightmare upon the waking world finishing what the School of Mensis started.
Oh my God, this is so unexpected. I've joined one of your streams and asked about Bloodborne as a video and you said you avoided from soft games due to how annoyingly they convey lore! I'm so glad you made Bloodborne the exception!
Ah a very nice set up. No one would be able to parse our hunter's story without the context of the setting. Most people who cover the story of Bloodborne cover our narrative first and then the history of Yharnam, the church, and the Old Blood after the fact. I applaud your story telling skills along with my peers here in the comments.
