with the front enlarged and the rounded curves breaking the weird squared original outline of the imo standard ugly front the 914 becomes one of the best looking sports cars ever
Really really nice look - the "murdered" chrome to black definitely contributes to the outlaw look. Hope you're able to post some driving videos and discuss the engine modifications a little more! I'm also curious to hear about the 916 rear bumper and what it took to make it look that good - the color match to the body is really sweet and very distinctive.
The rear bumper came from auto atlanta & it was far from fitting, It just takes about two or three days of on & off fitting & glassing. The engine is a 1.8 case with 2056 berrels & some head work with a little hotter cam, at least thats what I was told, I do have the original 2.0 for the car that I will be building up. With 40 webers the thing realy screams.
I have the engine & trans out right know for a clutch job & I found all the heat exchangers & parts so when it goes back together it going to have a heater I'm putting the blower under the car for a cleaner look.

Thats funny I just took a break from painting the top & saw your message. Matte black, I diden't build the motor & the guy that did is no longer around, So to guess I would have to say 125+ hp
Classic car enthusiasts, we need to fight against the upcoming bans on oil powered cars coming into the US and in the EU. Here's what one guy from Germany is already saying: " Schlipperschlopper Schlipperschlopper 2 months ago Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars, trucks and busses including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing petrol stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. They even plan to reduce the pump speed of public gas stations from 20 litre per minute to only 2 litre per minute to punish owners of combustion cars....from 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a completely new kind of crime here in Germany, called emissions and smoke crime. :-(((("

Where did you source the anti pulse valve for the vacuum advance?
I got it from Napa it's called a vacuum anti pulse valve, You can google it too.
Are you running a factory heat shield above your exhaust system?
