I originally wanted to buy a r1 but i found a ridiculously clean cbr 1000rr at a excellent price ...once i rode it i was so impressed especially with how little it weighed, engine braking is beautiful how the ecu holds the tb open a little so you can roll into corners faster.I put a yoshi slip on and it wasn't really noticeable power wise but i installed a dna air filter and what a difference -This is the first bike im not removing the cat because it has plenty of power and thats a first put of my mouth.Going a 520 chain conversion, block off plates, new plugs and dyno tune is booked in.Cbr's have been a jack of all trades the last 10 years but nothing amazing but these 2017+ are perfection we just sleep on them because we all want the highest hp bike from factory.
Very solid gains to be pretty stock accept the slip on. Personally I think those CBR’s are heavily underrated. Understanding that model isn’t a top end monster but I do believe with the right modifications, and rider they can hang with the best of em. Nicely done E
I am trying to get a 2018 right now. I like the stock hp of the cbr1000rr and the weight of a 600cc. Great street combo that is fast enough for this 57 yr old.
@@provenpowercycles Oh yeah I get it. That was my guess and I was also thinking that you decided not to include it but yeah, I believe a lot of shops do that as well specially with welded cats. Even here in Manila, a lot of shops resort to drilling out the cat.
I just got a used 2011 CBR250R with a yoshimura tuner and "pim-2" as my first bike - I have only the faintest idea of what either of those do and no clue how to maintain/adjust. Previous owner added a bunch of mods but barely rode it, it's only at 1600 miles. Any idea where i could find info or a manual on either of these? Thanks and great video!
I'm not very familiar with those to be honest. Most are simplistic tuning programs that do generalized changes over broad rpm ranges and throttle positions. I'm not sure where to really find that info either. Usually we google search those to gather info then make a few calls to get the ball rolling on it all.
@@provenpowercycles got it, thank you - i've figured out more or less how it runs so i'll wait for my yearly maintenance to check it all over. appreciate the info :)
@AlexCBR1KRR we run did and ek setups mainly. We usually go through a consultation with our customers so we guide them the right way when purchasing parts so they don't waste time and money 🤙
Not on this bike. He is debating going a little deeper next time with filter and removing those. Along with a chain and sprocket kit. It should do pretty good with those mods. We did one very similar to this with removing those, and high flow filter and it made 171whp. 🙌

We had one a while ago with full akra, chain and speocket kit, airbox mods, etc and laid out 187whp on pump gas! Now that is a contender 💪💪
What sprocket kit?

Nice gains from just slip on/de cat. The customer will definitely notice the difference!
Hell yeah. Waiting to hear from him still but I'm more than sure he's a happy camper with it all
Great vid.
Can you give more details about the modifications on the headers? Thanks.
We Drilled out the oem cat. We just didn't want to publicly announce it in video since it goes against epa standards 😒

What chain and sprocket do you recommend on the 2024 cbr1000rr

Did you remove the air intake restrictors?

Wonder what my 2022zx14r could do. 🤔🤷🏼♂️
We have a vid or two on those as well 🤙
@@provenpowercycles hmm, I've probably watched them and then slept 😴 lol I'm out of it
@Jameson-ks4bj haha no worries man! 🙌
