Today we have a BEAUTIFUL 2023 Gsxr1000r in the shop for some goodies! This bike came in pretty much bone stock except for the slip-on exhaust that it came in with. But we're going to be changing out that SC Project exhaust for something a little better! While this motorcycle is in the shop, she'll be getting upgraded vortex rear sets, a full titanium akrapovic exhaust system and sprint p08 air filter. And of course a full custom ecu flash and dyno tune! The previous slip-on this bike had sounded ok, but the performance just wasn't there. So, do you need to tune your motorcycle if you add a slip on? Most likely yes if you want to at least maintain it's current power. The stock ECU is set-up for the exhaust it comes with. So by changing out the exhaust system without tuning it properly could cause poor acceleration, poor fuel mileage and simply a bike that doesn't perform like it should. As you'll see from the dyno sheets, we were able to clean everything up and make this bike perform at it's best with the new akrapovic exhaust. How to burn in a titanium exhaust or how to blue titanium exhaust. It's a process to do it right. That's the nice thing about when we install your titanium motorcycle exhaust. It allows us to clean it up and burn it in properly on the dyno so your titanium exhaust ends up with the perfect blue coloration!
