Thats what i do . I buy the human grade .. It calls for two pills for a human but i give my two golden retrievers one each instead of the human dose of two which equals 1500 mg .. One dose of 750 is what my two goldens get.
Thanks peter enjoy your videos. could you give advice as to dosage or amount for a 50 pound dog and a 30 pound dog? what band do you use? This is a great tip as the band for dogs that I use is north of 60 bucks thanks
Hi Peter, quick questions is it ok to start puppies on this? And also I have a 8 week old rottweiler puppy that I started on raw diet, he started off great and loved it for the first day, then he got some diarrhea which looks like colitis, and now he's eating has slowed down but he is still eating and playing, my question is ...is it normal for puppies who have switched to a raw diet to experience some reddish brown diarrhea?, by the way I'm giving him chicken quarters and I crush the bone with a hammer, sprinkled with a little oats.
No don't put a puppy on Glucosamine, it for older dogs with joint isues...Any time a puppy that young has blood in stool you take them to the vet. Maybe your not smashing it enough, maybe use a premade raw you buy at the pet store for the next month or put the chicken in a grinder............. I would be freaked out if it was my puppy and I saw blood in stool, I would have all ready taken them to the vet. He could have Parvo or distemper, don't fuck around. Eating is slowed down? could be real serious
I took him to the vet earlier, vet says not to give a puppy this young raw diet or bones, he recommended dry dog food. But I really believe that raw is better, parvo test was negative and he's had a set of vaccines. The vet said it's mist likely bone irritating his stomah...I thought puppies could eat bones, I started grinding his food today. Any advice?
Al Rios I just made a video saying that...grind it. If you use a hammer it must look like ground chicken for a young dog that young. If it still looked like a leg quarter you gave your dog enteritis. Abady makes a frozen raw diet I use intill about 13 weeks, but if your grinding it now he should be fine. Cooked spinach or kale works better than oats,,,but you can use oats
He is telling the truth folks, including the food you feed your dogs,, there are recipes you can cook with turkey and chicken for protein and add vegetables. Don't buy dry or canned food for them it's not healthy for them. My Pug is fourteen years old and is healthy,, she does show signs of arthritis starting to cause her pain but is taking supplements for treatment and seems to be helping, but exercising by walking her is very helpful. But as for this video , thanks for getting the information out. 👍
what supplements are you giving her please? my dog has same symptoms, i am trying to find out how to extract glucosamine from shrimp shells but it seems very difficult to do and i am afraid of giving her caprofen it affects kidney and liver
