Hey, did you know that you can actually mash out of the nemesis grab? Just spam your interact button(the one u use to build) and you will pop out of the grab!
It’s a bit disappointing there isn’t more bot countering builds other than only fire. My flamethrower build for burning nemesis is using compact feed valves, and 22331, since not having to reload (usually) is more consistent I’ve found, and just having more heat to inflict is good. Not as good at bugs though
Sludge Blast, Volitale Impact Mixture, Icestorm, Icespear. These may feel weird and/or weak but normal damage doesn't vanish overtime and you don't fight a completely different healthbar so that autocannon gunner can actually help out.
One time a Nem wiped my team because we were 1: getting swamped in a tight space And 2: it didn’t die when I ignited it. (For some reason Bots will ignore being on fire sometimes)
I actually found sticky fuel to be much more effective, it makes dealing with nemisis trivial but patrol bots more inconsistent due to their random movement, both have their ups and downs
how do you use it against the nemesis? Its normal floating hight is in my opinion slightly above the flame hitbox - also you'e much worse against flying bots.
Personally I'm a pretty big fan of Sticky flames and neurotoxin grenade on Rival presence missions. The gas itself may be pretty much useless against robots, but the explosion from lighting it on fire is actually surprisingly good against them.
Somebody in a vid recommended BBACA Fuel Stream Diffuser, somebody in the comments argued for Lighter Tanks instead. I only had Lighter Tanks so that's what I used and it's plenty effective against bots and gives me more than enough fuel to W+M1 swarms.
Not really a fan of the robots. I feel like their weakness to fire was the devs' way of balancing the flamethrower to cryo cannon. I'd like it if some of the elemental resistances were rebalanced to be less restrictive, like the burn-immune dreadnaughts for example.
@turms Do note that it can spawn even if there's no disruption/warning on a mission. I encounter it once on non-sabotage mission without any disruption, but the difference is thatNemesis on that mission spawn only once contrary to the mission with Rival Presence disruption that spawn multiple Nemesis.
@@pakkiexe7562 i think they meant as in Nemesis is a disrupting enemy - much like a bulk. Just means that it disrupts the flow of general combat, as it is such a high threat that you must focus on it.
a single well placed incendiary grenade will ignite the nemesis. it needs to be a direct hit + close to the ground so that it gets the residual heat from the flames. but honestly I just throw 2 for good mesure when I can and it's instant death.
@Fabricio then it's a good thing they can't spawn multiple times during a mission, insta kill you wih grab and go after you during missions where you need to stand still inside a circle... oh wait... they do.
@Fabricio God I hate stupid comments like yours. "Just kill it", REALLY? WOW Thanks mate! I guess all those gameplay videos of people dying to it didn't know that. You should go in every one of those videos telling people they can kill the Nemesis because I don't think they know.
@Fabricio I didn't even know people were raging about this enemy until i went on UA-cam. I play a driller, and my squad regularly does haz 4 and 5 missions. The first time we saw nem, one guy got grabbed, and then we tore it to pieces. I seriously don't see what the complaints are about, its genuinely not that dangerous as long as you keep away, and even when you have to stay still in a mission, gunner has shield for the arms, driller can light it aflame, engineers shard cannon melts it, etc. I have to agree that i think people are just overreacting like usual.
@@R.Kardos for real though the nemesis has no real ranged killing options and this is a shooter. Literally just shoot it. Same as 'just look up more' for dealing with leeches and 'just listen more' for grabbers. The nemesis is also loud AF and visible on the minimap, so it's not like it can sneak up on you.
You need to use the OC with the increased range, it does less damage but catching robots on fire kills them instantly. Just use the mod that catches things on fire faster.
@@feelsgoodman2171 agreed. Personally I’ve dropped the flamethrower for the sludge pump at this point because of how much damage I can do with it. I can delete swarms with one or two charged shots.
any one else find it humerous that the forever downed scout is wearing a hospital gown, like he knows he's gonna be in the medbay again soon?
Poor guy was trying to resupply on one of them. I think most of us can relate.
now with more robots, using cryo or sludge pump as a driller is downright dangerous
flaming poo still shreds nemesis
That's why I feel naked without my EPC.

No way i wish I knew this earlier

@@muramasadoesathing1040 well… it used to work, have not gotten it to work now
Call me next time you do this kinda mission. Looks like you could use a good Scout 😉

Yeah it does feel like the bot design says “use heat flamer or suffer” when playing driller
I mean electricity is decent for them but yea it's mostly fire

the nemesis death bug was fixed
Lightly toasted nemi

I love the double take when you run into the bulk 🤣
Would the microwave with the (t3?) Temp accelerant mod be of use against semi-heated bots that zoom out of range? Instead of EPC?
The temp boost is really bad, more holds the status in place than anything else.
@@Orudaiken yea I figured that one out. Good for spreading freeze tho!
Does anyone know if the nemesis part of the bulk/menace/warden trifecta?
nemesis are disruptor class enemies

You can use Heightened Senses to see if you are in Nemmy's grab range.
Just curious, what EPC are you running? Looks like Heavy Hitter, but I can't tell.
Yup

That's crazy
doesn't actually need to be direct. Just throw it infront of the guy and it'll fly through amd overheat
It's been nerfed
@@zachrabaznaz7687 correct 😅
I see why nemesis' grab got nerfed
Nemesis is just a more annoying bulk detonator
I'm still a tad unclear, does fire damage now also disintergrate?
If you're talking about how it instakills the robots, all bots die after they've been set on fire.
If you're talking about the death animations, yes: fire kills now have the same animation as disintegrations.
Wow... fighting the Nemesis sure looks FUN...

protip: as driller you can throw axes at the ebonuts to open them up quickly, then pick up the axe back at the same time as the nut
