My wife's iPad wouldn't charge, took it to Apple Store. The tech looked at it for about 15 seconds in right front of us and said we need to buy a new one. Completely useless.

IT WORKED!!!! My iPad (brand new and owned only a few months) wouldn’t charge so my husband and I bought a new charger set. It still didn’t charge. I did the hard reset just like the video said and viola! My iPad is charging now and I have extra cords. 😊

After pressing 4/5 times home & power button together it finally worked and turned my iPad on. I was thinking about getting a new one as it’s so difficult to get repaired iPads or apple products you guys just saved me some of Euros .. thanks and bug shoutout for your channel.
Thank you guys for all your hints. I’m a 70 year old retired doctor. My first Apple was the ‘83-‘84 version which is still pristine in its Mac bag with all the cables and drives that came with it. Next year I began upgrading my Mac every 1-2 years and I’ve held on the them as well. Used to be one of the few around who would take them into my office to use them. That’s the backstory. Still have all of these classic old Apple laptops as they were, but I’ll be ripped if I can stay up with the new stuff. You guys make entertaining and fun. Thanks again.

My iPad will say not charging, sometimes it will charge, and sometimes a message will pop up saying “This Accessory May Not Be Supported” . This is me using my actual charger that came with my iPad. I used my cousins and it charges fine. Does this mean it’s my charger? Because it’s not torn on the cable and it’s clean. I even took apart a piece of the brick of the charger and it’s clean.

my ipad wouldn’t charge for 3 days now, tried 3 different chargers that i knew for a fact worked and still no use. I was gonna make a trip down to the apple store tomorrow but i thought i need to do notes tonight so let me give this video a try. After doing the power reset just like that my ipad is charging again. Awesome advice! Just left the dapple Headquarters to buy a charging cord. They tried 4 different cords and told me that iPad Pro was not working, would cost $600 to replace the charging board. I said no thank you, came home dejected but decided to look up if anyone else has this problem. Came across your video, I did roll my eyes on the toothbrush trick but decided to try it! Well there you go. I must have had some fluff stuck in the lightning cable port, gave if a clean and it’s charging again. I was beginning to worry when all the previous steps didn’t work. Thank you 🙏
This is weird but when my iPad says not charging and I leave it for ten minutes it’s at like 10% battery

My iPad Pro 10.5 started with the "charging -- yeah, not really" bug last night. Doing the hard reset holding home and power buttons for 20-30 seconds as shown in the video fixed it -- nice! I couldn't even find the correct procedure on Apple's support site, but this UA-cam video got me up and running again!

The problem is that my charger worked just fine before updating to iOS 12. Another charger works, but this charger stopped working. No damage, no hardware issues. iOS 12 sucks, basically.

Still have problems, sometimes it charges so I have to mess about with it, hard reset, turning it off and on. But it is getting more difficult to get it to charge even after a hard reset. So I tried a no brand charger and it started charging again. Is it ok to use a non apple wall socket charger?
Thank you very very very much Guys! The hard reset worked but I had to add a twist to it... So I did the reset and nothing BAH junebug. So I did it again after waiting for at least 5 minutes, I think that the waiting part is very important as it never worked the first couple tries but after watching, and now waiting on the 3rd attempt it worked! I believe the recent update has something to do with it. Anyhoo my young son is a happy boy now, thanks guys!

Hey guys, thank you so much. You saved my wife some $400 to $600. I will add something to your advice. When you press both buttons to restart it, do it several times. I did this for 4 days off and on, I didn't give up. On the 4th or maybe 5th day, it totally shocked me, there it was all charged and ready to go. Thank you again and remember, don't give up!!

Thank you for your tips. iPad Air OS 17.51 with C cable cannot charge. I did a shutdown by pressing the 2 buttons and the charging works. Fully appreciated 😀🙏

Great video! 1 minute into this video and I figured out the nightmare I was going through! I just had to do a hard reset. My iPad wouldn’t charge, it would stay at 1% then shutoff everyday for about a week until I saw this video! Thanks guys for uploading this info! Apple store really don’t want to help you fix anything..there way of fixing a problem is buy telling you, you need to buy a new one 😅

@@ghizlane_beauty8885 yes. Hold unlock circle button ⭕️ and top power button at the same time until apple 🍎 logo shows up. This gives the I pad a hard reset..it worked for me. Good luck.
I’ve been using every charger, and it won’t charge, so I tried brushing/ cleaning it. I was skeptical at first, but it worked! Thanks for the help!
I am having issues with charging port, in order for it to charge I plug in charging cord then pull the cord to the left or right till lighting and green charging indicator cones on then I use a clothespin to hold the cord to the side so it’s tight that’s the only way I can get it to charge. I know it’s not the cords I have tried new cords also Acker heavy duty card same issue, I know it’s the charging port. I don’t know what else to do with it other than getting frustrated to the point that I beat it up. So so frustrated, please help?????

Hi, when i charge my ipad 11 pro (USB C) why do i have to use the Apple power adapter? As i have a 10 port USB A power station (with various AMPS?) but when i just use a USB A cable, with a USB A to USB C adaptor, the ipad won't charge?

Hello, I have a iPad that would not charge. It will not charged when it’s on. So I power it off and it charges perfectly. But recently when I power of the Apple logo would turn it back on. I have cleaned out the lint for the cord and the charging port. Do you know how to solve this?

Just got a new iPad, currently not using the cable it came with, but Could the charging cables be limited to a device? I plug it to my iPad with my iPhone charger, it say charging, but then a few seconds later it'll say not changing. Some of my other cables do that and some others charge fine. What's up?

I can't get my iPad Pro(purchased in March, 2019) to charge. I've tried different power outlets, my charging cord is like brand new right out of the box. The cable isn't damaged, bent, or even a bit dirty. The newer iPads have a C port for charging, etc. I've blown into all the openings on each end of the cord and AC adaptor and also used a soft toothbrush to clean it out. All openings look empty with no damage that I can see. I'm not able to plug a C into my laptop, and I only have the one charging cord that came with the iPad. Unfortunately, both ends of these new cords have a C connection which then plugs into the AC adaptor brick that then plugs into the wall. I don't have a dongle that converts a C to USB to try on my laptop or with another brick. My software is updated to version 13.4.1. I tried a hard reset holding the power and one of the volume buttons. I powered it off and back on and still nothing. The iPad doesn't show sign or make sound like anything's plugged into it. Other suggestions?? I'm now at 1% charge.

Hey guys I have a older ipad I purchased new in2017 one day I noticed the tip of the charging cable broke off inthe socket I was able to pull out the part with my fingernails etc put a new cord in it and it worked charging now I get no response from a hot charging cord that works fine ona
On my other and newer IPad I’ve tried the hard start onthe old one nothing now that battery appears completely dead and will not have any reaction to the cord getting plugged in ? No lint or anything else I can see any other thoughts ?or things to do ?BTW I am handicapped and over the years I’ve switched everything over to Apple devices for my entertainment therefore I really want to save this device if I can as I invested a lot of money into accessories like aftermarket cases etc

Your battery health might have been used so it will only charge up to 70 percent how long have you had your iPad?
You dont need so much battery.

My problem is when my iPad won’t charge in my room outlet I have a charger plug with 2 USB ports where the plugs go and when I plug it in it won’t charge but with my phone it does but with my iPad it doesn’t I even hard restart it or force reset but I haven’t checked if it was dirty.
That did not work. All I see is the battery indicator and only lower bottom on image is red.😕

I ended up cutting a QTip at an angle, put a little rubbing alcohol on it, and poked around inside the phones port. Plugged it in about 5 minutes later. That started charging it for me.
I’ve had mine for 5 years and that happens everyday but I’m getting a new one soon and it won’t charge when it’s on.
Ive had mine for 6 months and my little brother already messed up the charger port

My iPad (with original cable & brick and both of them are in perfect shape without any damage) wont charge after some random %. Some times its around 40% sometime after 87% and likewise. The same cable charges my AirPods flawlessly but iPad really struggles to get charged to 100%. iPad's port is clean (no lint or clogging) still the problem persists. What could be a possible fix?
Purchased a 2nd hand iPad. It will not charge when plugged into a wall charger but WILL charge when I plug it into my iMac usb port. ? what am I missing here? thanks in advance
