@@sandeepnarayan9896 dude it just happened like i plugged in the charger and it wasn't charging for some reason and I was panicking cuz it was on 1 percent and I definitely didn't want it to run out of battery cuz that would have complicated things. So I did what they told about the hard reset in the beginning (volume up then down and then hold the power until the logo appears) and it just restarted and then when I plugged in, it was charging

Get a hairdryer and heat up the back of the iPad where the apple logo is when ipad is warm put in your iPad charger for 5 minutes and then press the power buttons

Amazing. Traveling in London woke up and iPad Pro simply would not take a charge. Walked across town to the Apple store and bought a new charger, no dice. Walked all the way back for a ‘genius’ appointment. The guy ran diagnostic on the iPad. No dice, and since two months past 1 year warranty his prognosis was needs new charging port, which meant 2 weeks in shop and almost full price of a new one to fix (so basically it’s garbage.) Then I found this video! Reboot fixed it and it seems to be charging. Thank you so much!

Our visits to the Apple Store have been due to user error (cracked screens, spilled coffee on the laptop). Our Apple products have always been reliable and they last for a long time. This is only the 2nd iPad Pro we’ve purchased for our daughter in the past 8 years. The first one still works! There’s just not enough space left on it. So, my daughter has all her work on this iPad and there are no appointments at the Apple Store for several days. In a last ditch effort, I did a search and this popped up. Wow! I almost had a heart attack when my 5th Generation M1 iPad Pro 12’9 wouldn’t charge today! I tried cleaning the port thing on the pro but nothing. It just wouldn’t work even with different lightening cords. I remembered I had a lightening cord in my bedroom drawer. It only took me a 10 seconds to spot it and it was with a iPad lightening bolt block charger too! I was so excited and hoping it would work! I plugged the cord I found into the iPad charger I found and viola! It worked! I was SO relieved to see the green battery charge come on and when the battery number went up I cheered! Thank you guys!!
Mine still won’t charge I’ve gone through three different chargers and it still says “Not Charging” and I’m scared I it’s my iPad that won’t let the charger charge, if that makes sense I’ve tried technically all ur technique’s and still won’t work my iPads on 12 and scared I won’t be able to use it ever again, but thanks for the help!

@@lilachue no I didn’t! this reset trick saved my ipad for a few days, but not forever. I actually ended up having to get a new ipad! took it in to the apple store, they ran diagnostics, & they still couldn’t figure out what was wrong! but this at least let me charge it so I could do a backup on everything.
40 Seconds is all I had to watch. I consider myself pretty good at these things. I was using the VOL-UP and Power to Reset. I was putting the power cord in while holding the power button. Nothing. The hard reset is all it took. Apple Support could not even help me. Saved me from buying a new one. Thanks Guys!!!
For a brief moment I need to spend a ton of money for thhis stupid problem. Bought my 5yo a new iPad last Christmas 2021; the chargers were not working on it; I reset it & cleaned the port w/a clean firm paint brush & I had a connection w/ the charger that was not working before. Thank You
Thank you I have fixed the problem by cleaning the charging port with a toothbrush , I haven’t been able to use it for nearly a year, it’s been back to the company I got it from it was less than 2 years old and hardly used , they were going to charge me 500£ to just open it up , I just got a new iPad and was wondering what to do with this one , anyhow I cleaned it and now it’s charging so thank you my son now has his own IPad !
