If your ipad doesnt turn on due absence of proper charging over a long period of time then you need to connect it to a charger for day or two and keep it as it is. My iPad successfully booted up on Day 2.

Fantastic! I have been trying to start my iPad Air3 for the last three hours. After pressing the power button on and off so many times, it would finally turn on, only to turn off again within a few seconds. It kept showing that I needed to recharge the battery, but once it finally started it showed 100% charged! After so many attempts, I figured my battery must be charged 100% of what little life was left in the battery. I grabbed my wife’s iPhone, and after a couple attempts of finding a good video, yours showed up. The first option of pressing the power button and start button at the same time worked, but then, after only a couple of seconds the iPad shut off again. Then I went to option two, “reset all”. It is now working perfectly!!! I almost took it into the shop to buy a new battery. I’ve seen your videos before, and it help me through another situation. You guys are great. The problem seems to be more of a hardware problem to me. But it can still mean its a software problem you might want to Reload your IOS with a laptop/computer with ITunes(i recommend Factory Reset If your Not Worried About data loss, but you can save your data onto your laptop/computer and just boot everything back in)
@@monicamarquez6531 I saw a video showing me how to charge my iPad battery by unplugging it, flipping it on its face & using a blow dryer on the back for 3 minutes for a full charge! It’s worked for about 6 months, but I have to keep it running or it dies again. So...I’m thinking either the battery or the charging port needs replacement, in my case. Hope yours is working by now! I was playing roblox then it turned off and it's been turned off for 3-4 years and it wont charge or turn on with all the holding buttons and factory reset ect. . I just found it and now I want to use it because it has very very important things and pictures on it, and I want to use it for everyday life! And my parents would definitely not buy me a few one or trade it in.

They say to turn off Apple Cash before sending in but how am I supposed to do that if I can’t turn iPad on?! Every time I google the question it just says go to settings etc..but again - can’t turn the device on to get to settings! Is there a way to turn Apple Cash off for the iPad through the iCloud? My iPad Mini 5th gen had this issue right after connecting it to my home stereo via the headphone jack. Done this before without any issues but this time I had the iPad plugged in first before powering on my stereo which must have sent an electrical surge through the jack. Charged it for 2 hours and still nothing. But hard reset worked and thank goodness no issues yet.
This really worked, I tried the first option and then it worked. I thought it was a hardware problem cause I accidentally dropped my iPad then it wouldn’t turn on. Then I tried doing that and it worked perfectly. Thanks so much.
Thank you for your video. I could not do an update or restore to my 2015 iPad. I tried your suggestion to change the USB cable and success! You saved me a lot of money and running around to a repair shop.
Tip: Buy a usb detector with voltage and current measurement capability before messing with brushes, cables or connectors and such. With this usb detector you can see there is 5V on the line and and you can see it consumes any power (50 to 100ma when off), if this is true, everything on that side is okay.
Although it’s unknown, what if your iPad is not working because it was infected with a virus? Would plugging it into a MacBook be a threat to the MacBook by possibly causing the virus to get transferred? The Logo appears, but the iPad never reboots and never goes to the home screen. Thanks
My screen comes on with the battery image (showing very low) and the lightning bolt icon (I assume it means it's reading that the battery is being recharged). However, the battery won't recharge. Any ideas on home repairing this so my I Pad will come on again?

I was downloading an app and then suddenly it shutdown by itself. And now it is stucked/frozen and won't turn on. I tried to plug in to my charger and it didn't work. I tried the lock button and home button but it didn't work either. And yeah my lock button is broken.

It has a LOT of pictures and such data of sentimental value (of his daughter who he can’t see anymore) and would be heartbroken if completely lost. leave the it charging until it turns on, this may take days to turn on due to absence of charging, so just leave it plugged into power. this might help

Ok so what about this, iPad shows it’s 100% charged, I leave power on all night but turn the screen off, next morning press a button then enter my code No., normal screen appears, battery icon 100%, 10 - 20 seconds later black screen with flat battery icon so I leave it for hrs, try it again about 8pm by holding the power button, 20 or so seconds later it boots up normally! Repeat performance every day!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

I have the same problem with my original 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I guess it’s a battery problem with the iPad. Don’t charge to 100% and usually that works but if you forget to stop charging it, let it sit long enough to drain a few percentage and it should start again. Strange issue and perhaps a new battery will remedy the situation.

@ Lilly Rose I have a 3 year old iPad Air that works fine until it did the same thing you described. If you charged it and it still won’t turn on it’s just a glitch it does if you haven’t updated it in awhile. If you try to hold the home button and the button to turn off your tablet ( I don’t know what’s it called 😅) for 30 seconds or lower (as said in the video) then it should turn on, if it doesn’t then I don’t know cause I’m having trouble trying to turn it on myself. Hope that helped. 😅😅

The problem seems to be more of a hardware problem to me. But it can still mean its a software problem you might want to Reload your IOS with a laptop/computer with ITunes(i recommend Factory Reset If your Not Worried About data loss, but you can save your data onto your laptop/computer and just boot everything back in)

Kronus Playz this happened to me! it just happened and when it powers off it keeps on showing the Apple logo then going then repeating that! But I’m confused, my iPad is an new iPad Pro. It’s not old or anything. It took me ages just to get onto my iPad. Do you have any advice?

I was downloading an app and then suddenly it shutdown by itself. And now it is stucked/frozen and won't turn on. I tried to plug in to my charger and it didn't work. I tried the lock button and home button but it didn't work either. And yeah my lock button is broken.
Just happened to me right now.. that's why I'm here searching for a solution

Hey @PayetteForward, I have an iPad from my uncle. He can’t remember when he last used it/turned it on. It has a LOT of pictures and such data of sentimental value (of his daughter who he can’t see anymore) and would be heartbroken if completely lost. I charged the iPad for over 12 hours thinking the battery might be really dead but it hasn’t even shown apple logo and power button press nor does it even vibrate as most devices do to indicate they are powering on. Any clue as to what’s wrong with it? Thank you in advance!
when i was trying to perform a DFU it caused my ipad pro to stop turning on, what is happening???
u put it into hardDFU mode instead of softDFU so now ur only option is to restore it

I have an iPad, and it was working fine. My old charger wasn't working, so it hasn't been charged/used in a few days. I recently got a new charger and it's brand new, but my iPad didnt turn on. It just stays on a black screen. It doesn't even show the no battery symbol or an apple logo. Just black screen. I tried the hold power button down, the hold power button and home button down, and just about everything I can find online. My next step is to go to the Apple Store and get it fixed. Can someone please reply anything that they think may help? I will 100% try anything. Thanks!
leave the it charging until it turns on, this may take days to turn on due to absence of charging, so just leave it plugged into power. this might help

i swear this video is too helpful- my ipad randomly shut down on its own while im playing spotify and we were about to give this to my dad so he could bring it to a person that repairs devices and replace battery bc we thought it was the problem but i did this and it actually worked i wouldnt be able to do online classes if it did not work ty :((

Ok so what about this, iPad shows it’s 100% charged, I leave power on all night but turn the screen off, next morning press a button then enter my code No., normal screen appears, battery icon 100%, 10 - 20 seconds later black screen with flat battery icon so I leave it for hrs, try it again about 8pm by holding the power button, 20 or so seconds later it boots up normally! Repeat performance every day!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Feel bad for you dude(sign) my ipad is on but the screen is black, it makes sound and stuff when I press the home button but it’s just a total of blackness😡

I have the same problem with my original 12.9 inch iPad Pro. I guess it’s a battery problem with the iPad. Don’t charge to 100% and usually that works but if you forget to stop charging it, let it sit long enough to drain a few percentage and it should start again. Strange issue and perhaps a new battery will remedy the situation.

I have a problem, so i plugged my iPad into the charger because it died, i left it to charge for couple of hours, and its been around 4 hrs since it was plugged in, but its still dead, the empty battery icon when an iPad is dead was still showing, is there a solution? (iPad 6th gen.)
I cracked my screen and it got dropped and it hasn’t charged for hours , this happens over a year ago... my dad gave up on it after it broke... but I want to try and get it to work... it is dead but won’t turn on when it is charged. Does this happen when devices get old? Coz the same thing happend to my kindle... pls reply with advise for me , it is a iPad 3rd gen , so it probs can’t be saved 😔😔😔

I have a 3 year old iPad Air that works fine until it did the same thing you described. If you charged it and it still won’t turn on it’s just a glitch it does if you haven’t updated it in awhile. If you
try to hold the home button and the button to turn off your tablet ( I don’t know what’s it called 😅) for 30 seconds or lower (as said in the video) then it should turn on, if it doesn’t then I don’t know cause I’m having trouble trying to turn it on myself.

My iPad has been giving me a black screen on and off for a year. It got really bad recently where I didn’t know if it would ever turn back on. I took it in but it was going to be $400 to fix it! Anyways the reset all settings seems to have fixed it! Thank you so much!
