Nice job and video. I lived in CHS 30 years. Really miss the Gerald’s tires and brakes stores.

Great Series and explanation. Subscribed! I think those Springs are now the weak point, I would’ve replaced them while doing that job, as well as knocked the rust off the backing plates treated them with Cold Galvanizing Compound. That Saltwater will eat them up if left untreated in 2 years..

Great video since I’m buying a magic tilt with new axles and no brakes……but you should pack the bearings with a wad of grease in your palm, or a bearing packer. Also the bearing nut should be loose when you take the cotter pin out. Spin the hub while tightening until it has no end play, then back off a 1/4 turn and install cotter pin.

Look at the ameritrail adjustable v block bow stop for the front, thats what I am swapping my trailer to. They make one with a winch post and one without

Thats the configuration that I was expecting, I would be interested to experience the difference in loading. With the roller, you push onto it and the boat wants to roll over the roller, I am sure that the v block would make for more secure loading. We may put on the upgrade list but as with many things, we will probably just get used to it as is.

@@MarineTechTools reason I am swapping is my hull sides are painted and my bottom is interlux vc performance. The roller is not very gentle on the paint. So the v block will catch down low.
