Well done man, you deserve it. Hope you find many more from now on.
Keep it going.
As usual another entertaining vid. Keep it up Gig. Very enjoyable mate.
Equinox 800 looks like a beast might buy one soon congrats on the find.
Amazing ! Wish we could have seen Graham's and AJ's reaction to that thing too lol. GJ Gig!
Great job finding that nugget! That made your day for sure.
Excellent find. In the desert, a 1-2 can be a small nugget, but nothing like yours. Congrats!
that was an awesome find Steve; man you worked for it; hope you find more; all the best
Kevim C Thanks
Congrats on the Nugget. Best one that I have seen you find!
Congrats on the nugget!! What a super find. Well done!!
Merryl Bustin Thanks!

Well done on finding the nugget it's awesome
Yeah I was planning on getting Equinox 800 just for General treasure hunting and coins but I was just curious how well it could handle the hot ground of Gold Country please get back to me I deeply appreciate it thanks a bunch
Congratulations on the gold nugget you had a great day.
Nice nugget!! GB!
nice nugget, did you try to ground balance in those hotrocks, if so, did it affect the response on good targets? a beauty!!
BS Y FP
Did not test that.
Beautiful specimen. Gorgeous
Dear. Good Job! If you dont mind, I have found a rock with my Equinox 800 Works on Gold2 mode. The targerts ID were 2, 8, 10, 11, 13. What It means?
Nice. VDI=10-12 due to the configuration and the nugget mass. Depending upon the mineralization & size gold can ring anywhere from -5-40. I've pulled crystal gold by sight and rings as ..nothing..air. And also if someone wants to go nugget shooting in that type of environment get the small coil. The 800 only detects small gold @ 0-1 in. , you want to chase those little ones down, they often lead to streaks or larger nuggets deeper in the bedrock. It's common for larger nuggets and flake accumulations to be 1ft or deeper in cracks. Unbeknownst to many even those small creeks can have fissure cracks 10 ft. or deeper loaded with gold. I've run across those often gold dredging if you pick the correct visible bedrock geology. I've seen multitude of large (1/4-1oz probably) just disappear in those fissures because they often have this chocolate pudding consistency mud layers like a cake because they aren't old enough to even conglomerate yet, especially on the west coast seismic areas.
Boneyfreak Thanks for the tips!
That nugget sure is beautiful. Great video thanks for sharing
Holy mackerel !!!!!!!
Good golly miss Molly !!!!
Whooo Hooo......AWESOME!!!!!
Love it, what luck, great job!!!
Melissa Hall
Thanks! Love finding nuggets!
Easy money! !!!
So funny!
Tky for the smiles! !!!
Hello, I recently bought a minelab equinox 800 metal detector, I only use it for native gold, which software 2 vs 3 is the most suitable for searching for native gold in the river and along the river bank ?
Thank you in advance
That's one for the trophy case for sure! Next time you go to a school and give out some fossils, you should bring that nugget. It will blow them away!
This old man is sooooo Funny :D
Good video, enjoyed taking the 800 to the AZ desert tomorrow. Subbed....
That was a MONSTER!
Congrats on your nugget. 👍
congrats on the gold nugget i finally got my 800 last week ive been enjoying it so far, its different than my e-trac for sure my 1st coin i dug with it was a trime cut in half amazing on how sensitive it is on the small stuff and good depth as well H.H. Mark :)
CT relic hunter Very sensitive on small stuff!
Still waiting to see someone live dig a nugget with the Equinox, thanks for showing how it performs on hot rocks. Enjoy your videos
Yeah, I had no idea I would dig a nugget. It was a good number so I should have cut the video on. I was thinking bottle cap or something and it took me several minutes just to fish it out of the gravel.
Gigmaster isn't that how it almost always works out. Cut the video and something great happens
LOL, every time!
I would love to see more videos using it for gold prospecting. I feel everyone is only showing it's coin/relic hunting abilities, which are clearly proven, but your video is the first I've seen actually using it for its other ability...gold prospecting. I'm wanting to buy one but as I live in gold and relic hunting I am very interested in its prospecting capabilities too.
If you get a chance, I would be very interested in seeing a FIELD video regarding gold prospecting: setup, target ID, depth to target in mineralized soil, and your overall opinion of the detector as a gold prospecting tool. I know you covered a bit in this video but more would be great! Thanks again for making such sweet videos and really having a well balanced treasure hunting program!
Thanks Wesley I will put that on the list! Heading back next week!
Stupid Question for you, What karat gold are the nuggets you find? I've heard that Dahlonega, GA has high karat gold.
If you're ignoring 1' and 2's you're missing 99% of the Gold there.
Hey gigmaster love your videos keep them coming. I'm curious what is the approximate value of that nugget Graham found in begging of video?
Joshua Tondola Gold value only about $50 but more if a jeweler bought it to make a necklace.
Odd, I've found some small nuggets, .25g, and they ring up as a 1 or 2. I wonder if it depends on the ground. I am in Arizona.
I was mortified that he wasn't checking the 1 and 2s
@@IrlamOz entonces suelen salir pepitas en 1 y 2??
Me preguntó que numeración le dio esa pepita
What was the number on your equinox when you spot it?
I absolutely love their reactions. Good job that was neat! Cheers
Wow that's a really big nugget. Congrats
KC Diggscoins Thanks
What is that green cylinder below your elbow on the arm cuff of you equinox?
Doug Tisdale Probably my floating noodle I put on it so when I am in deep water it comes to the surface to grab.
Congrats!!!! Which gold mode did you use? 1 or 2?
Hobby Legal 2

GOLD DETECTING WITH THE 800 need to set to gold 1 40 MHz not multi and all metal mode is on ignore all numbers and just listen with a 15-20 sensitivity use as a vlf it will be over sensitive in mineral areas with 1 gram and less it pings loud and high but very reliable as good as proper Gold Detectors ie MINE LAB 2030 THIS IS WHERE THE 6 inch COIL comes into its best use with the 800 by ignoring very mineralised ground in GOLD areas where the larger coils pick up more noise ------- i just wish they had an 8 inch instead of the 6 inch coil
Thanks for the info
I hate to tell ya partner. But 1&2 I find a lot of little guys at. The tone is what matters.
Claims 1&2?
what number did it read for the nugget? Your best find & you didn't record it? Rename this video "Hot rocks Found With Equinox 800"
KubotaManDan Lol, I got too excited! It read 13/14
loads of gold shows as 1 just saying
Alan Alda's 3rd cousin lol.
