I have just came back into the hobby. I'm late to the party with the Nox 800 but thought it a great machine to start up again. I have used your settings, as my mind loves simple, and I don't mind digging. I had a PI detector back in the day so dug everything anyway. haha
Thank you. I’m new and can’t wait to try this. I’m in Milwaukee so for now I’ve got to wait till spring. Good luck to you all.
I have an 800 and have learned a ton from this video!! Especially loved how to tell bottle caps at the beach! Thank you!!
Just got my Nox 800...it's still clean. Without these videos I would've been fudging it at beach.
Thanx for all your help. You don't know how helpful your videos have been to me. Greatly Appreciated.
joe san Thanks
OMG. Thank you. What a difference your instructions made. I even found a ring tonight and didn't have to listen to constant chatter.
Awesome! Keep it up!
Excellent video for the new owners of the Nox 800 and explained in a way everyone can understand!
Hey mate these equinox videos are amazing. You're a champion !! Can't wait get back out hunting for treasures now.
First class instructional video. I use beach one for my searches---sensitivity 21/22---audio 25---auto tracking------reduce default recovery from 6 down to 4---sweep slow and low. Machine seems to run smoothly and quietly at these settings. Lots of good clear signals every visit and overall , good results. Happy digging everyone !
Do you use those setting for wet and dry sand mate?
Great video mate. A lot to learn about the nox thankyou for sharing your knowledge
So informative......this man is the BEST to follow. Alot to learn but he is a great teacher if you watch various videos, also, he makes every find sound exciting!
Really good video. The part on eliminating the bottle caps is probably the most valuable. I really need to remember it next time. It will save a lot of time and effort.
I have a 600 and I think most of these settings will work the same. Thanks for posting these tips - I think I have learned more from this one video than many others posted! Good luck on your next hunt!
Hello Steve George here.Good morning.I went to the beach yesterday.Actually picking up lots of bottle caps in the teens area. But when i got 20 or above i would dig, quarters and dimes. And when i see a 9 i dig. After seeing this video ishould dig everything. Now using the horse shoe on the equinox is very helpful thank you.Guess what i got a silver cross a .925.I carry a scale with me it said 2.91 each gram was 54cents each.I go WHAT! LOL.But there was a very fine chain near it and i was picking up the chain in pieces from the cross not sure i thought i had ruin the chain. And $2 in change. It was a great day.I got home made sure i wash the salt from the equinox. But the horse shoe symbol im going to use for now on for the grunt sound of a bottle. Also i carry a manet to see if its real jewlery and the silver cross just slid right off.But the price of .925 sterling silver is not much. But discovering it was indeed.Thank you again teacher i will always remember you while im out there.Thank again!George Centereach long island ny
Thanks for sharing. I am about to start detecting for the first time when I visit the dominican republic
Excellent refresher before heading to the beach.
Thanks alot! Love your videos. I'm learning alot using my nox 800
Cheers mate, this is the best and easiest explained tutorial I've found so far
Very good i have never used a metal detector but bought this one . Other videos were useless to me as i have no idea but yours was great thanks
Thanks for the update Gigster. Boy your not kidding when you said dig everything. So all day yesterday at the beach I was getting tons of bottle caps and pull tabs and at the end of the day I thought for sure it was another. It came up as a 14 - 15. So I dug it anyhow. It was a Pandora rose crown ring. I looked it up and it's a copper silver with 14k gold plated. Not worth much but it's my first gold ring. Anyway thanks for the great tutorial. Sean , Orlando Fl
I recently got my Nox 800 and after trying to figure this machine on my own, I watched your video and set it to your settings and off to Daytona Beach I went. Within 5 minutes of using it, I dug up a chunky SS bracelet. Although nothing else rang up after that, at least I wasn't digging up junk. Thank you for this easy to follow video!!
I learn something new EVERYTIME!
Sincerely thank you so much! I’m going to the beach for the 3rd time with my new 800 and you can bet I’m gonna try these settings.
Excellent tip on the bottle caps. Man Im telling you Im sick of those 13, 14 numbers. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video.I subscribed. I got this Equnox 800 for my birthday last week And absolutely love it.I dont miss a thing on the beach.i found a piece of wire 3 feet down.I cant believe how Awesome it is.Buy it .worth it definitely.
Very Informative...Im just starting out and you taught me soooo much Thank You Sir!
Very easy to follow and understand. One of the best on youtube!
Thanks Banjo Billy!
Great video Gigmaster! Probably one of the best tutorials I have seen on the Equinox 800! I have the 600 and my brother has the 800 and I have seen him dig way more rings and jewelry than me. Some of it is my not knowing my machine so that’s why I watched the video. The tips at the end are well worth watching to the end for! Thanks! 👍
Getting ready to buy an Equinox 800 in a few weeks and this is the best info I've found so far. Thank very, very much!
Enjoyed the video always fascinating to see what comes up
thank you Steve i was getting great strong signals on bottles caps thank you for showing me the right way you are a great help
Thank you for taking the time to do this video. I bought the 600 today and heading out next week to the beach for my first ever hunt ever. I admit I was a little nervous that I wouldn't find not even a bottle cap. Thanks to your video I feel much better about it...
Definitely need subtitles for this guy 😂.. good job on the set anyways. Thanks 😎
Watched the video. Set up my machine. Found some stuff.
Thanks 🤙🏴
Thanks Gig, I will be using my Nox 800 for the first time on a salt water beach, (I'm down at Orange Beach in Alabama) The sand is like fine sugar/white.
Thanks so much Gig! Just got a 600 and your tutorial was tremendously helpful. You also explain why. A lot of people know what to do but very few can teach why. Going to Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks. I was very intimated up to now, but your video really made helped with confidence for the detector. Thanks again Gig. GL and HH
Excellent tutorial, thank you so much
Go from an analog machine to the nox makes me feel like a rookie lol.thanx for your help 🇺🇸👍
Very helpful just got my NOX 800 put the At pro in the retirement area can’t wait to get out but still in lockdown 💙🇬🇷🏖👍
Thanks so much for sharing your know how with us. It really does help. I'm in Scotland and we are in lock down.No detecting so I'm brushing up on my Equinox 800 functions.Hopefully it keeps me sane. Anyway, thanks again and hope you and your family are all well and staying safe.Take Care.
Best information video on the equinox 800! Thank you so much! Happy treasure hunting
Thank you for taking your time to make this freaking awesome detailed video!
It’s helping a lot of people. Great job!
Hey Gig, when the waters get to cool to detect, and when ya start land huntin again, we would sure like another video on your general settings for Land! GL&HH
New at this as of today. I appreciate the helpful vids!
Dec 2019, tried your settings and had good results! Played around recovery speed for pinpointing and used gold 2 when I lost The target! Deep results, clad quarter at pro pointer plus 4” (a solid 12 inches) and had a 1” rusty screw above at 7” ! NEED A BIGGER SHOVEL!
Thanks great tips .Heres one you can try out when ID numbers are jumping around simply go to pin point the target and then back to motion and it seems to stable the ID number reading
Many thanks and gratitude for your lessons with the equinox not only in this video but all your others as well.
Hey Gig, on the screensaver thing. When the Nox comes from the factory, or dealer, a set of clear screensavers came with it to protect the screen from scratches and such. They had a written guide under each setting to tell what each setting was. They had several in all kinds of different languages for different countries from English, German, Spanish, Etc!
Thanks bud. I'm afraid I'll have to wait,, broke my ankle. Still nice to catch up on the settings. I appreciate you friend.
Heal fast!
Thanks very much. Went out today for the first time didn't find any rings or coins but did find some Squid Jigs half fishing rod pole, bottle tops
Awesome info!!! Heading to myrtle day after tomorrow and this helped!
Great video Steve 😊

Oh my, look how clean it was when it was new!
Good job explains how to set up and use the different buttons on the nox! Thankyou
I'm in the market for an EQ 800 and currently doing my research. I love your tips on identifying bottle caps and pinpointing, those'll be super functional for my locations and hunting style. Thanks for the info. peace
That helped a bunch. Just got my box and you saved me alot of time. Thank you sir
Great video sir!! I have the 600 and 800 and this has helped a ton, thank you!!!!!

Great info! Just got a new 800 and going for my 1st session with it at the beach in OC MD.. happy hunting 😎
This is going to help a lot. Thanks from PCB, FL

Thanks for explaining everything! Helps a lot
Thank you for answering on my request for this video. If you have a video on the Excalibur that would be awesome to see as I am going to purchase only one. Either the Nox 800 or the Excalibur. Thank you Gig I appreciate all that you do and I feel at home watching you and your vids hh
Gigmaster as always 😊 happy, positive and funny dude. 😎 😎 😎
The information in your head is amazing! Thanks for sharing your knowledge it helps so many.
Great video, very informative and helpful. Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial. Just purchased a Nox 800 and will see how I go. Cheers HH
Thanks for the tips Gig, besides the tones you run the same setup as me. Happy hunting 😃
Great video, thanks for being so easy to understand!
Great video, newbie here. I set up same setting and did not even find a nickcle. What am i doing wrong? Equinox 900
Need a different beach!!
@@Gigmaster should I try the 6 inch coil?
Not unless you are getting lots of iron hits. Is this a popular beach?
Gigmaster I'm so happy you showed how the wag the coil to the Target at the front of the knows I'm not a fan of the sound the equinox makes when you pinpoint and I just ordered one I should get it tomorrow you've made my day I have an Old Sol Vern to a pro variable tone basically sounds just like the Excalibur too and I'm a fan of the wagging the coil and putting the target at the front of it and avoiding the extra motion of pinpointing with that loud space landing sound it makes yuck
I never use pinpoint it would slow me down!
awesome video. thanks gigmaster.
Thanks mate, I new too this and live on a beach on the far south coast NSW Australia, your tips are cool as and thankyou for your knowledge & time
i just got the nox 600 ,great machine, thanks for the helpful tips. happy hunting
Thanks Steve, I am sure this will help !
I just ordered a Nox 900 and was wondering if you could do a video on the best settings for rivers. Submerged machine. Not a lot of fresh water or river videos out there on the subject. I know being in wet sand on the shore is a little different than underwater detecting less than 5 meters. Thanks
Great video. Easy to follow. Would like to see what you do on settings when in 1-2” of water at the beach. Anything different?
Great tips Mr Gig.
Now, you and Max need to come down to South Tx and work these beaches with me.
BTW, Gigmaster is the best out there!
Good afternoon. I really like your videos. I'm from Brazil and I also use the Equinox 800. In this video you configured T1 and T2, very good. I noticed on the device that there are also T3, T4 and T5. Could you explain these?
Thanks, Marcelo Guimarães
Thanks very much mate you are the equinox guru. Haven't been out much with my new equinox but watching a lot of your UA-cam videos still can't get my head around the tones two-tone 5 tonne 50 tonne. Ahh.
Hey I see there are books available on the equinox the basic and the basic to advanced. Would you recommend buying one of these or just keep watching UA-cam videos. Thanks
I'm loving the 800. But I just saw the shafts break on your recent video. I don't own the 800 yet. Hopefully this issue will get fixed. Please keep us informed of the repair and any costs you have. They need to make it free. Thanks for the tutorial!
John Doe They already replace the shaft on my other 800 for free. They get a lot of use. 😂
I'm very glad they made it whole again! Thanks for your quick response. Best regards!
Nice pinpointing tip! Thanks!
Thank you for your quick reply bro' much appreciated, cheers.
Excellent instructions ! Why do you get 3 beeps in each direction?
Double d coils
Just started watching your vids exclusively, and really dig them, no pun intended. Have you ever detected out west?
A little my son used to live in Tucson
@@Gigmaster Live in Idaho, lot of gold out there in the hills, haha we'll see I guess! Thanks brother!
Some excellent tips. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks GIG !!!
this sold me,,I am heading to Kellyco on monday....thanks
Well done Gig, Thank you.
thanks so much for the fast learning.... it really helps,
Great video try the grey ghost NDT headphones it solves the low volume issue!
Great video, but would you setup the same for stone & pebble beaches , like we have in England?
Yes
I set my metal detector as you specified in the video which works well in dry and wet sand but when I go in the water it cheeps 1-2 all the time. How should I change my settings to not do that so I can find something. I’m new at this and I want to find some gold 😁 Thanks for all your great videos
Try lowering the sensitivity a couple numbers
Gigmaster thanks I’ll try that. I haven’t found any gold yet and I hope going in the water changes my luck. 👍 love your content
Wow so very helpful! Thank You
Sure likes this video, very informative. I think it's time for me to buy an 800.
This helped me so much, that you for this video, and greetings from Croatia!
