Just try to imagine . That people didn’t listen to one track at will, then listen to someone else. We listened to each side of the album’s straight through. Then flip it over and listen to the second side. The artists tried to make songs flow into the next track. I would enjoy watching you experience the flow of album. That’s where the trueness of our visions were formed.
Great reaction Polo...much love...Zeppelins diversity is unequaled...Start at Led Zeppelin 1 and run their whole catalog, your subs are here for it and we want it...
Polo...it WAS fun to see them do this live. At the end of the song, Robert would loudly call out "STRIDER!", as if calling him home. As others have said, it's a love song to his dog, a blue-eyed Merle Australian Shepherd. There are pics of Robert & Strider, just Google 'em & they'll pop up. Same here. My two older brothers would lock me out of their room - I was the little sister lol 1975 ten years old introduced to Zeppelin . Began by being a pest who loves Zep to this day !
I LOVE watching the first times those of younger generatiins listen to our music of the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. They are often AMAZED at the creativity and talent! Maybe it was the world a-changing, or maybe the drugs (lol) -- but those were EXCEPTIONALLY creative eras.
I love seeing kids wearing remake t shirts from the late 70's and 80's . Little do they know the older chick pushing her grocery cart SAW a ton of those bands in concert and a metal head heart still beats right along today . Sorry folks but many a night spent listening to Zep ect mellowed out on ludes . Wouldn't trade for anything -Great times and memories🙃
Well just gotta say that for me personally 'The Drugs (the good ones ) really helped the appreciation of great music! Kids just say no, or choose responsibly!!!....

I know you really like Tool and they’re a great band but to truly appreciate the greatness of Zepplin you need to listen to the entire albums. No one has ever put great song after great song like them.
Great to watch live at Earls Court (1975), that’s Led Zeppelin, you never know what you’ll get. They do so many genres, & do them to perfection. Thank you for your reaction.
Bron Yr Aur is pronounced like "brawn-er-ire". It's a Welsh word meaning "golden hills". It's also the name of a cottage in Wales that Robert took Jimmy to, on vacation. It had no electricity or running water, so Jimmy had to bring acoustic guitars with him and a battery powered tape recorder to catch any inspiration. The majority of their third album was written there and so gives that album, especially, more of an acoustic sound. Some songs from that time wouldn't get used until later albums. Zeppelin's albums always had acoustic guitars in there somewhere and they often played with other musical genres and textures.
Sorry to come to the party so late. I have watched every one of your reactions to Led Zeppelin and have enjoyed them. I love watching your reaction and look forward to what the future brings for you. I get it! You love Tool and you have your top 5. I have loved Zeppelin since I first heard them in the early 70's and do not have a top 5. There is just too much talent out there for me to make that type of commitment. Led Zeppelin is definitely my favorite. Keep up the good work.
Bron was on the third LZ album which received lower critical reviews than their first two albums. Critics began to say if they slapped the Led Zeppelin name on any album it would sell. That's why LZ IV doesn't have their name on the cover.
I am 69 and I have never heard this song before but it is awesome. They were great. For a while I thought maybe there would be no vocals. Boy howdy was I ever wrong.
Bron-Y Aur Stomp is about a collie dog, "a blue -eyed merle". Best band ....ever! Maybe I missed it but have you reacted to "Rock and Roll" and " Ramble On"?
Bron-Y-Aur was a small cottage in Wales UK where Zeppelin sought retreat to gather their thoughts and musical ideas following exnsive tours in 1970. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bron-Y-Aur_Stomp
Maybe my favorite acoustic Zep tune. Played in open E tuning, capo at 1, or just crank em all up. I like to play it down in D where the vocals are a bit more approachable. Castanets at the end? Crazy.
A deep dive song that I love!!! For another from the same album check out "Hats Off To Roy Harper". This song follows "Bron-Y-Aur Stomp" on the album, so every time I hear one I have to hear the other. Think I'll listen to it now in fact.
I’m thrilled you enjoyed this one! Some suggestions for next Heartbreaker, Ramble On, Misty Mountain Hop, Over The Hills And Far Away, Bring It On Home ❤
I know DVDs are going out, but you've got to watch (very much worth buying) the EAGLES - LIVE IN MELBOURNE DVD. It's about 3 hours of an amazing concert. It is a range of songs (almost all hits), I think it is 33 songs, every note perfect. They perform their Eagles classics as well as solo hits from each artist. I have seen them twice and, have all of their CDs. This DVD was very much worth the money. Watching it right now ❤️🤩
I love this Diddy about a hill of gold. An old Welsh story. I love the Welsh theatrical tone. The little cottage in Snowdonia that they didn't ever want to leave. Because of its position of how the little chalet lined up so perfectly with the sunrise it was unlike any other place on earth. That's when Page wrote this beautiful instrumental about this hill of gold mountains which nestled the small chalet.
OH, MAN: I'm ALWAYS HERE FOR ZEPPELIN!!! :) THANKS, POLO!!! SO LOVE THIS BAND!!! This was during the time when the band traveled to Gwynedd, Wales and stayed at Bron-Y-Aur Cottage - they wrote songs for their Led Zeppelin III album, which had incorporated MANY MORE acoustic sounds for the band. GREAT ALBUM!!! It was a different sound for them: but, with LED ZEPPELING - ALL SOUNDS ARE GOOD!!! :) HUGS from TEXAS!! ENJOY!
So glad you liked this, Polo. I only see my HS bestie twice a year, and we always play this when we hit the road. We lovingly call it “The Stompin’ Song.” Did you notice the spoons and castanets?
By the time you get through their entire catalog, you will definitely start it all over again. Next listen to an entire album all at once and watch it flow one into the next.

Indeed ...
100%, listening to a single song feels disjointed.
I miss this!! I need to start doing that again.
This song gives me joy. All about his dog. Love it!
Zeppelin has 100 something songs and literally none of them sound the same. Absolutely brilliant group of artists
Page has a reputation of being an electric guitar god, but honestly, his acoustic playing is second to none.
Mark Knopfler beats Page on acoustic IMO
Led Zeppelin is my favorite band but if Page was a better acoustic guitar player than Tommy Emmanuel that would be something indeed. 😳
Steve Miller, dude! Les Paul taught him the acoustic guitar!!! That's a fact!
@wordup897 he doesn't beat Page in the song writing ability.
Truth and JPJ!
