Yessssss!
here in 2024...2025...2026...
Real voices, real instruments, real dance moves with real bodies! 80's!!!! I LOVE IT! ❤️
she was the first to introduce leggings tights under skirt and even slouch soxs. imagine that
Yesssss ❤️🙏
AGREED I was 16 yrs old during this concert.
My gf at time used to sing Madonna songs to me on the phone.
Hearing this again gives me all the feels.
It's weird in the 80s all of us youth had unending energy.
She looks good there
I bought this concert on VHS in 1986! Still have it! Her best concert!
I can't be the only person watching in 2022, right? There must be more people who still appreciate this talented woman.
2023
2023
She's the best!
2023 and she's still amazing. Always will be.
Still in 2023
Her voice is absolutely amazing here it’s hard to believe how good she sounds while she’s dancing…this era of Madonna was by far the best..
They usually overdub new vocals during post-production.
@@ThatsJustMyBabyDaddynot then
While also wearing heels... a Star.
Back in the 80s, people trashed her voice… they said all kinds of mean things. Just like they do now. It’s sad, but some things never change.
I used to act this concert out every night in my bedroom in about 1986 when i was 12! Had every dance move worked out, made all the clothes, bought a microphone and tambourine! Aah happy days!!! 😂
i used to put one of my mothers net curtains in the back of my pj bottoms acting out like a virgin 😂❤
I was 12 in 1985 and same thing. Now, at 48 I still remember every single dance move and still love how she mixed Billie Jean in with Like a Virgin. Still a huge fan and while I've met other celebrities at Comic Con and was cool, I can't say with confidence that I wouldn't just lose it and totally fangirl if I met her. LOL
We were all living the Madonna fantasy, weren't we?! I still do the Gambler go go dance!
I even had the tambourine to do into the groove lol ❤
@@SarahJayneLovee aaah! Yeah so did i and the microphone and stand and i made a hook on the stand with a coat hanger to hang the tambourine on 😂
That was Madonna’s best period in my opinion.
No autotune, No Lip-sync, Just pure live performance..👏
Por eso es la reyna
Compared to that, I don't think anyone notices that the male vocalists sing in a girl's voice. :)
Every male on this tour died of AIDS months or years later. She surrounded herself with gay men because they were all she felt ok with, and then she lost every one of them within a span of 4 years.
And, as an artist (opinion) if you think about the dance, as aerobics so, very tough, besides the intensity of it and the rythm, sing after song non-stop, she was, is and will be the Queen 👑 forever ♾️💕 for those who had the luck to be there, there's never been a doubt. Only love, admiration and gratefulness for what we learned.
this is lip synced unfortunately
2024 and still watching this pure magic ❤

*My first concert at 15 years old* ❤ *Thank you MOMMY for taking me!* ❤❤❤
SO damn jealous! Your Mom is amazing!
@@MikeFortino Thank you! Yes, I am *Very Blessed* to have a mother like mine.
A tour de force! A magical, awesome stage music and dance artist, with so much energy, swagger, sensuous appeal and dare, trendsetting fashion look, and charisma…this was the Big Bang that propelled her iconic career.
Not my first concert but one of the most memorable. Saw her at the universal amphitheater in 1985. I had front row seats. They were really cheap compared to what they are now. You could only buy one, two, four, six or eight tickets at a time. I bought three so it came out two tickets plus one for me. My 2 friends were right behind the orchestra. But because I bought a single seat for myself I was in the orchestra pit.
Way before ticketmaster I had to go down to the universal amphitheater to buy them. Once the ticket booth opened we all rushed to it. I even took home some Madonna Money. I was 18 and in my last semester of high school.
@@zipjok8850 Zip....What a fun memory! 🎆
Madonna in the 80s, this is my favorite image of Madonna! This is one of the best concerts ever! Queen of Pop forever! 👑👑👑
Send me back to 1985 when Madonna was MADONNA!!!!!!!
To me, this was Madonna at her best. Incredible voice!
Vocally, her subsequent tours were better. Especially her next one in 1987, True Blue. She’d had vocal training by then.
I was born in 1977 and the 80’s were dominated by two people, Michael Jackson and this woman right here. Literally, both the King and Queen of Pop. Madonna and Alyssa Milano were my first celebrity crushes but there was something about Madonna. She was like the modern day Marilyn Monroe. Love her always!!
I couldn't have said it better!✌
I'm 45 and still remember every spoken and sung word of this concert. I learnt every dance and just wanted to be her.
Me too lol I'm also 45 and the into the Grove song has been repeating in my head so that led me to watch this video lol
Very underrated I felt she was . Should have had an Oscar for Evita even Barry Norman said so
Lucky you
Yess, yess! Madonna came into our life at the absolute perfect time! 🥰
Such an icon .. me toooo
I watched this video when I was a child with my older brother, how good it is to be from generation X and Millenial and to have enjoyed Madonna's music at that time
One of the best concerts ever.
People need to realize how much these artists put on their bodies of dancing to satisfy us. It takes a toll, we need to support more, and just be thankful for them. Prince as well. We are very lucky to have lived in this era! I am 51 and I'm fortunate to enjoy the internet.
Excellent comment. I'm 61 & watch the Jackson Five videos religiously!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Sylvia, you (as many other fans - including myself) who make part of 70´s & 80´s generation, are a kind of: "Special Edition"; due the fact we have testified a magnificent period where amazing artists with real talent to make and produce music that presents great lyrics, oustanding sound and hability to dance and sing were at the same time/period the reference to many other that came after, but without the capacity to get close of Madonna, George Michael or Michael Jackson´s contributions which provided to the fans around the world including for the pop´s music foundations without the technology that nowadays fabricates singers and songs with no soul and bad. We were and are the lucky ones. Best regards from Belo Horizonte City, State of Minas Gerais - Brazil !
this is Madonna at her absolute best 1985
Madonna at her absolute best.
It’s so cool to hear her singing the early songs from her first two albums! Her voice was so high!
It was one hit after another! Even the reworked Into the Groove and non-single Over & Over were brilliant!
The best her live voice ever was. My favourite concert of hers. Shocking 2 years later on WTG tour. Later tours had good bits but my best Madonna live was 1985.
You mean squeaky
@@brianhipolyte brilliant?! Really? Stretching much?
@@matthewwilkes1973 you need to go see an otolaryngologist.
There is just no one; of any age today more important in pop music and cultural relevance than Madonna.
Madonna at her best for me. 1985 was a great year.
Her concert then was simple, a simple stage , a live band, 2 dancer, back up singers...good to see a concert as it should be..
I appreciate a modest concert with a real band, simple costumes than circuses
No LED screens,no lassers,no fire balls.Simple.👌
yep. the SNL performance of Bad Girl is still my fav. ditch the dancers......
so simple so huge
Pure 80's, that's why this decade is the most phenomenal ever. Changed the entire world.
This concert is flawless. Great sounding and looking.
Viva la Regina del Pop, Madonna!!
Thats true ❤️
Totally Agree! I saw Madonna in 1990 she owned that stage even when she did Blonde Ambition World Tour and she had blonde hair black then. She still has it and she has a new album out called Finally Enough Love 50 Greatest Hits and its a best seller on Amazon.
Everyone copied Madonna, and she was an icon. She will always be the Queen Of Pop. Even when she dies people will still kiss her ass.
I was 10 in 🇦🇺 in1985 my Mum was 30 she bought this concert video and I watched it a million times. 🎉❤❤❤
I was 10 years old during the Virgin Tour. I am now 49 and I just saw her Celebration Tour a few nights ago. Her energy levels are the same as they were 39 years ago. I feel so lucky to have been alive throughout her entire career since day one
Madonna just finished The Celebration Tour and she's still the best. We love you forever, queen.
Madonna doing Gambler in this is the definition of pop superstar perfection. It doesn’t get better.
The invention of Britney Spears!
Song has been mostly forgotten over time too. It’s a gem for sure.
Except for Prince doing "when doves cry" or MJ doing "billie Jean" live .. those are nuts!
Her music makes me want to go back in time,i miss that era
I'm 48 and just miss these vibes, the best 80s
I'm 51 and still love this concert!👍💃🎸🎤
I miss this Madonna.
What I mostly love about this tour, is that it has the purity of the early madonna the way she came out to the world, and that the concert contains the original sound of these early songs, which were never been performed, nor sung that way anymore.
This is my favorite era of Madonna. She was so punk rock in her sensibility during this time.
So true. The songs were performed pure
@@Patrick3183 it has to stay basic, when you talk about Madonna, you talk about this girl, and nothing else. period.
I saw the other tours first. I can't believe this madonna actually existed. I would rather want to see a short and energetic concert like this than a long drawn out one... madonna this young was unbeatable.
@@lepetitchat123 She was a POWERHOUSE when she was young! I was actually at this show in Detroit at Cobo Arena
Damn.. Who wishes they could go back time to 1985. I know I do. Best times of my life. Bittersweet listening to these Madonna jams
Her voice is perfect, exactly like on record, very soulful and powerful, you can hear every word she sings, it’s clear
You're a true Madonna 80s fan if you know all the lyrics in this repertoire. You even sing to all of it for sure.

Back when Madonna was amazing.
Yeah I agree.Lets not talk about her now adays.lol.

this music is from my parent's time, when the world was so much simpler
Yeah, no stupid stuff like Cancel Culture back then.🙄🤮
Cant imagine how lucky were people attending this superb concert!
I saw her on this tour (her first) in Dallas Texas --- I never sat down. Loved every moment and a Concert I will never forget
I am somewhere in the audience! I had 10th row center!
except 1, someone throws a banana 🍌 😂😂😂 39:34
The 10 year old girl in me is loving this remaster! I remember having this on VHS, and I wore it out learning the dances. Still have them memorized at 48 yrs. old, lol!
Haha fun! Same here but 10yr old boy at that time ❤
As simple as it was compared to her succeeding concerts, this is actually my favorite concert of hers. It put her voice and dancing front and center - imperfect though they were, they came together so nicely to deliver pure entertainment! Over 30 years later and I'm still loving this!
Her raw voice was more emotive than after she had singing lessons around the time of Evita.
The 80's...what a time to be a teenager!
Patti you can´t imagine. Having the opportunity to grow up in the same period of the great artists and bands that definetly have shaped the foundation of music in its several styles: Pop, Synth Pop, Dance, Rock and R&B is priceless. A time where fun, happiness and hope could be feel it anywhere and in a world without the sad things that we living now. For sure it will be one of the main things I will thank God for give me (with my parents) the chance to lived it. Best regards from Belo Horizonte City - State of Minas Gerais - Brazil !
My Dad bought me the tickets to this concert , my first, my friends parents were willing to take us and pick us up. My step Mom would have been so mad , I got sent home from school wearing the virgin tour T-shirt, he’s been gone 6 years , I’m 52, and I love this memory. It was so cool at the time and today it still is.
I'm 58 and still love Madonna.
I'm 40. Started to be her fan in 1985 when heard Into The Groove.
Your stepdad was sooooo cool
Wow!!! So you are really somewhere in that massive crowd?
I saw Madonna when I turned 12 in 1990 and she did her Blonde Ambition World Tour and it was an experience.
Madonna's homecoming Virgin Tour 1985 filmed at Detroit's Cobo Arena on May 25th 1985.
I was at this show, and saw many other great concerts at Cobo Arena in Detroit; and I can say for a fact - the LOUDEST crowd I’ve ever heard in there was at this show when they started playing Like a Virgin- it was deafening! And that includes sold out bands like KISS, Seger, Judas Priest, Ozzy and many others.
Madonna is far more badass and transgressive than those bands
wish I had been. Must have been awesome for her to play her home town
How amazing! And I just wanted to ask if anyone here had been at this show in Detroit .....Was it in 1985 ..?
@@selmasurer9166 I was there! 10th row center!!!
mer569 yeah, that was in Detroit, wasn't it..? Wonderful!
1985 Alot of people don't realise how good this was. Her early stuff has never been performed like this since. It was truely amazing the emotion you can feel doing a concert in her home city. ham so glad I grew up in the 80s and enjoyed this. It still stands up even now .
Sure does wasn't performed in Europe the amount of bad press she got was unreal. She's a real star for me. This is awesome to watch even now no overdubs sang live and danced just class.
Would love to see a tour where she just sings the songs they were recorded. That will come in time.
Same here James.
Yup. Full band. Minimal backing tracks. It does sound like backing vocals are dubbed in a few spots but otherwise a fully live band. As a synth guy I absolutely love this era of music. The live mix here is juicy. Lots of synth bass going on.
I was 15 when this concert aired. These songs and early years were the best.. the dancing.. just everything. Amazing ❤
I was 19 in 1985 and unless you lived during this time you will never fully understand the impact that Madonna made and the phenomenon that she was.
SO in 2021 i discover the trend look that originated by madonna . the hair mmessy, the make up style so thats all madonna omg
I'm 13 in 1985 , Yesterday once more
Madonna was her best here when she actually sang and she wanted to rule the world and she did. Madonna is the Queen Of Pop for a reason and so many other artists followed into her steps. She is now on her celebration world tour celebrating 4 decades of her music that made her a super star. Madonna paved the way for many artists and she is the rock n roll hall of fame and everyone wanted to be like Madonna because she had something that other people didn't have**** She worked hard and she played hard to stay on top. Madonna will always be the queen of pop and she has the Hollywood Walk Of Fame as well. Madonna is a legend and when she passes away she will still be a legend. She knew Michael Jackson and pay tribute to him in her Celebration World Tour. Madonna is now 65 its insane that she is celebrating 40 yrs of her music and she still has it...
Madonna's dad ,shown at the end of the concert is still living and is 90 years old now! 😯🤗
This is probably the best tour she ever did along with Who's That Girl.
She is unique, she is a unique woman.
She dances without faults, sings without faults (No one else would be able to do a live like this today.)
, smiles at the audience while dancing, she is hot; sexy, strong; she loves what she does, you feel her ambition to be the biggest star in the world, she did it and did it for every other pop star that has followed her.
She's the queen of pop forever, like Michael Jackson, forever.
Up to this day, Madonna and Michael have the tittle of the ultimate entertainers. They didn't need concert stages with special effects or big screen behind, they were the most powerful Magnets of music.
THATS RIGHT SHES UNIQUEEEEE
@@charliereed9925 and Madonna was alive to take advantage of technology and besides many mainstream pop artists showing us lazy visuals and bunch of lights Madonna took those resources and delivered and whole scenario in front of everyone. MDNA and Rebel Heart are her tour with best visuals and lightning and everything was built up so perfect that proofs she is the queen of modern days too!!
@@jonathanguzmanvazquez8916 Indeed! Rebel has great graphics J. Madonna has achieved so much. I've seem all her tours since Virgen 84 and I personally like Confessions and B. Ambition the best but its doesn't matter we all love the Queen ;-)
I agree with you on that. Like you I'm a die-hard Madonna fan, and I'm proud to say that to this day....you mentioned Michael Jackson, I'm a fan of him as well, Prince, Whitney Houston, George Michael and other legends that already passed away. May all they rest in peace, but their music will stay in my heart and soul forever.

Yeah she was a little pitchy towards the end of the show but it still sounds good
Crazy for you, love this love Madonna Yes she has a great voice and has a fantastic great presence I love her so much
Why do some Madonna fans always defend her voice? She doesn't even claim to be a singer, she's a performer. So, no need to pretend she sings perfectly when she doesn't even say it herself.
Yeah, this is the real deal, she´s young and hungry here
I loved Madonna as a kid and I still love her today. Easily one of my favorite divas.

To be 12 years old again in 1985. I'd give anything to go back to this time. Madonna was everywhere and she didn't need the help of things like internet & social media, twitter, etc back then to put her on top. Madonna ruled the world and the 80s.
I'm in tears. I grew up watching this as a kid. Thank you mom ❤
Still watching this in 2023.
Here she was at her best, still young en looking great.❤
We were in the center front row of the balcony when she did her first ever concert! Seattle Paramount 1985. I stole my parents bed sheet and took house paint and wrote in huge letters “WE LOVE YOU!!” And threw it over the balcony. She looked up and waved and screamed “I LOVE YOU TOOOOO!!!!” My Boy Toy obsessed friend literally froze standing on her chair for at least 20 mins! 😂😂😂 we were 15 years old and in Heaven!!!!!
That’s awesome!
Don't think kids today know how big Madonna was. She dominated the airwaves thru the 80s and 90s. I'm a rock n roll Gen Xer dude, but have always really liked Madonna.
nice to see the audience actually enjoying the concert with their hands in the air and actually not seeing cell phone cameras in their hands, those were the true good old days

It’s interesting that Madonna is a pop star who could have made a great rock singer and Gaga a pop star who is so suited to jazz and musical theatre.
