I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus' Name, amen." Did you pray this prayer?
I’ve done my research on this song. it is truly astonishing of what people believe when they don’t do their research. It’s truly amazing. One of her best songs.
Since you did research, may I ask you these questions in all sincerity … Is this the entire unedited video? Did the video come out at the same time as the song? What is the most astonishing and amazing about what people believe vs what’s the reality? I hope you will reply! Thanks 🙏
Okay, I will let you know what was going on at the time of this. Jesus was black, kkk was coming after her and him for being a mixed couple. 2 different scenarios going on… plus Madonna was the hottest thing at the time. For them to turn it into a 4k video they need to do a lot with it. It would take a lot of money, and even if they're successful I would still stream it in 480p anyway lol
indeed, this song/video was largely responsible for what I needed to push myself far outside my box, i did so and far exceeded expectations and made history within my respective skill set. This song pkus a few others gave me the motivation to say fuck what the rest of world was preaching, I said take what you want when time is right if you can pay tolls of admission
Happy 30 anniversary. I was 11 years old and the first time I saw this video is written with fire in my memory. Thanks for making me happy along all my life, dear Queen Madonna ❤.
I was five when I saw this music video in MTV and my dad said she is a sinner but I knew her message was about I would cry when the man came back to life . All her music and music videos are iconic you can feel the emotions from her voice .
Artists before Madonna were like that already but they weren't heard enough. Madonna stepped in and did what was necessary. Younger artists today starting from the 90s to the Gen Zs owe a lot from people like Madonna.
She’s a stunning brunette. She dyed to fit into the cult of Marilyn Monroe. So many glamorous brunettes but they all chose to look like Marilyn, an untalented drug addict that slept her into a career even though she too was a bottle blonde.
It's amazing. I heard this song hundreds of times as a kid and then a few years back with adult ears I noticed that bassline throughout the whole track. What an absolutely punishing groove! When it gets to the "life is a mystery" middle eight and then it comes back at the end of the track with the gospel choir, it's such a payoff and I look forward to it every time I hear this song. Truly a masterpiece!
It's a crime against humanity that the same didn't happen to Viktor Tsoi in the west. I'd bet if he was given the chance and outlived the Soviet Union, he'd be legendary worldwide as the king of "Post-Soviet Post-Punk", if not Post-Punk as a whole.
Never was a fan of these songs my parents kept on repeat. But the movie made me emotional and this was the cherry on top. Now, i am going to give another chance to some of the greats
My daughter at age 11 lost her dad to a sudden death. His death was during the mid night hour, this song was at it's popular peak and she played it constantly over and over. Although we never discussed the song, I know she was thinking of her dad and the words are so fitting of one losing another. For a long time I thought Madona created this song around losing her mother. It has been27 years and the song still affects me, the sobs come.
Thank you for sharing your experience and so sorry for your loss. It has been sometime now since you posted this. I hope things turned out well in the end for you and your beautiful daughter.
Madonna the Great as ever..this song is the BEST song of her career. She expressed racial injustice in this video. She was criticised for it but she didn't care.Madonna has always been vocal about social issues through her music and this song is the best example..the other songs are Papa dont preach which speaks about teen pregnancy, then Justify my love is about LGBTQ community, and her recent song "Gun control" from Madame X speaking about stopping violence by Gun weapon. Madonna is Genius..she has got balls..therefore she ruled over four decades and continues so. I salute her and she holds special place in my heart. Love from India.💞🎸💞
Whilst the world slags her off, puts her down, saying she’s irrelevant, Madonna just carries on fighting, sharing and trying to educate no matter what everyone thinks.

I'm in a record store in 1991 in the mall and this song comes on the speakers in the store. Someone standing next to me (much younger) says "I don't know what it is with this song but it cuts right through me". I was thinking the same and back then all you had were CD's, tapes, the radio and MTV. Still love listening to this song. Madonna is amazing. On the way to 200 million views.
Can we give Madonna her flowers while she is still here. We have lost so many greats, Michael, Whitney, Prince, George Micheals. Please let us lift up the last huge artist of so many of our youth and teen years!!!
It's the fact she caused a lot of controversy with this one for me... Everything Madonna ever said or did was really necessary and people ignoring her message says a lot about our society, she really used music to her advantage so she could expand the world's limited view on tons of subjects and open our eyes... Wow, she really knows the definition of freedom of speech and will always speak her mind, pretty intellectual woman who never left the legend status because she's a solidified icon. She paved the way and is a trailblazer, she's still relevant and consistent till this day and she was really needed and crucial for our society to evolve. She was a pioneer in a lot of things, music, fashion, and she was always a strong, powerful and fierce woman. This queen broke a lot of taboos and decided to create her own standards, no matter how many people deny that, she will always stay true to herself, will always be a part of history and will keep re-inventing and influencing people worlwide, that's royalty stuff and that's why i will always praise and respect the woman Madonna is.
She is such an icon from my youth feel like I’m in my late teens again when I here this takes me back more years than I realised to when this was in the charts and still a banging tune to this day thank you for seeing me threw the years
First plan on the Georgia Guidestones is for 93% of all people to be disappeared. (That includes blacks, whites, Mexicans, Asians, Christians...and even many Democrats.) -- This is what America gets for supporting heathens like Madonna.
Like A Prayer was the biggest selling single of 1989 selling over 10 million physical singles that year alone. It also sold over 5 million downloads since 2005 as well
Madonna was, is and will always be relevant because she is one of the few artists who knows the true meaning of art which is to go against the status quo.
I always think it's things like this that make a person an icon, changing the culture or being the first to do something. When people call someone like Ariana Grande or Taylor Swift an icon, it's a mistake. They're just very talented and popular but not icon level.
I'm so jealous than people lives in the 80's who enjoy the best era about Madonna ... look that gorgeous Madonna with the dark hair and doing ur best job in the music and her career "Like a Prayer". GOD SAVED THE QUEEN
I was there. What an amazing and simple time to grow up. Not perfect just more real connected and innocent time. I feel for kids today that they have to cope with so much trauma. 🙏
I grew up in the 80s and the majority of people thought she was "nasty" and said people who did like her was because of that. Ignoring the fact she's had hit after hit after hit. Similar to what Xtina Aguilera went thru when people didn't understand "why she has to parade around naked and talking about sex". People appreciate her now but the mainstream didn't really praise her back then as much. even the feminists were against her!!! She said this in her speech at Women's Day last year.
Madonna dissected her life on this album where she addressed religion, sex, her mother dying, breakdown of her marriage to Sean Penn, domestic abuse, and freedom. Never has one album gathered this much attention for its music than Like A Prayer.
I read that Madonna was involved in the movie in which she decided where the fragments of her song should go, and without a doubt it was the best part and it turned out super epic!

Definitely a government song trying to smooth out the situation at the time. And yes dating a different race was frowned upon. This was just talking about the elephant in the room thing

Artists before Madonna were like that already but they weren't heard enough. Madonna stepped in and did what was necessary. Younger artists today starting from the 90s to the Gen Zs owe a lot from people like Madonna.
Not true. Many artists in olden days caused controversies. Billie Holiday was murdered by the FBI because of it.

It's amazing. I heard this song hundreds of times as a kid and then a few years back with adult ears I noticed that bassline throughout the whole track. What an absolutely punishing groove!

She is a huge champion of freedom of speech, as long as she agrees with what you saying.
