She's got excellent control of her breathing ! Can you imagine moving all over the stage like that and still sing and talk to the audience like that ? She has always worked harder than most to do A-1 performances.
I hate to break it to you but this vocal was clearly re-recorded in the studio. You can't hear her breathing at all which is very unusual for someone dancing as hard as she is. A lot of times what they do is record the vocals over again in the studio so that they can eliminate any imperfections with the sound in the venue (crowd screaming, microphone cutting out, etc). So what Madonna will do is sit in front of the TV and basically sing along to her original performance. It's very common with live concert videos that are released on DVD (or VHS.) The record company understands that these videos help sell seats at concerts and albums so they want it to be perfect. You can tell if you watch her lips closely during this performance. For comparison, watch her performance at Live Aid in 1985. She's also dancing but you can definitely hear her breathing. That was broadcast live so there would have been no way for them to record it over again.
some people talk crap about her because shes old now with facelift and all. Madonna gave people what they wanted and brought a lot of happiness to the world.
Hell yeah she did! She filled our lives with such happiness 😊😊😊 So much is made of her sexuality that people overlook the fact that Madonna onstage eminated pure JOY!!! Watch those first two tours (this one, and Who's That Girl in '87) to see what incredible stage presence she had, so full of energy and, I'll say it again...JOY, JOY, JOY!!!!
Yeah doesn't matter shes old she still looks better than most youths ( the word youths makes you old lol) and can run circles around most of us...its called old skool..duh.... im a girl sooo. ....the tights yo!!!!!!
Every time I hear this song, I remember being in Jersey for my cousins graduation, driving on the Jersey turnpike smoking a joint, with her hot friend, my cousin and my brother and I. I mean, me and my brother weren't smoking any, we were only like 10 and 13. But that's the memory of this song. Long live the 80s
"Holiday" is a song by American singer Madonna from her self-titled debut album (1983). It was written by Curtis Hudson and Lisa Stevens-Crowder for their own musical act Pure Energy, and produced by John "Jellybean" Benitez. Hudson came up with the lyrics of the song while watching negative news on television, and together with Stevens-Crowder worked on the music. They recorded a demo, which was turned down by their label Prism Records. Afterwards, Benitez pitched the track and offered it to several artists, including former The Supremes singer Mary Wilson, but it was rejected. Around the same time, Benitez was working with Madonna on her album; after realizing they needed a song for the project, Benitez thought of "Holiday" and approached Hudson and Stevens-Crowder.
I love the song "Holiday" sung by Madonna. It takes me back to a time of less troubles and it makes me feel good inside. I've always liked and admired Madonna for her singing, song writing and dancing/performing plus she was sexy as f--k. If this video doesn't make you smile, you're on the wrong planet.
Yeah me too I missed those days I missed the Madonna days everything was so cool and yes it did rock it was a simple day's back then but we surely did have a lot of fun
The year was 1984. My friend won tickets to the Madonna concert in Chicago at the UIC Pavilion. We were in the third row I was 16 at the time I remember thinking I cannot believe she is dancing so much and can still sing. She was nonstop, energy and sweating like crazy but still pulled it off and sounded great. Probably went with different mascara after that tour. She killed it!
Man I bet you had a great time in the 80s even though back in those times it was simple not like now with the crazy crap everybody's dealing with but I wouldn't have a doubt in your mind that you didn't enjoy those times.
I was 11 at the time ,I'm from england and was so jealous of everyone, I couldn't see her because it was a usa tour, but I got tickets for Wembley in london for her first world tour I was 14 ,never forget it ❤ went to see her for the next 2 tours, all of them amazing,so lucky to he around as a teenager back then ❤
Michael, buen artista... Vendió una ilusión. Esto es danza real. ¡¡¡Brava!!!
Madonna was, and still is a very good singer! In the early days, critics and haters loved to talk about how she couldn't really sing. Bulls**t! She sang beautifully, and moved across the stage with massive energy and joy while doing so!
That’s because people were optimistic at that time of what the future might hold. I’d say Sep 11, 2001 was probably the end of that optimism. 2008 followed, with more recently the pandemic really cemented the dystopia people feel now. Maybe one day though we will have the future we originally envisioned in the 80s again.
i loved the 1980's. there so much great music. pop.heavy metal, r&b,rap. the 80's had it all. whatever style of music you were into the 80's was cranking out bangers
Great times....my favorite of all her songs...talk about feel good!! The 80's and early 90's were wonderful. The music was terrific...Nowadays...the dead zone of pop music. I hope it changes.
The trendsetter of the '80s. It's already 2022 but Madonna is still "The Queen of Pop" until now. Michael Jackson, The King of Pop, Britney Spears, The Princess of Pop.
I was in my 20s in the 80s and back then, music videos were the coolest thing if you loved music. Only a few musicians back then were putting out music video's that simply amazed us with the quality and, quite simply, the money they put into them. Michael Jackson videos were top-notch, but so were Madonna's... I remember getting shit, shaved and showered, new clothes on to go to the disco/bar to drink and dance all night, but as I was getting ready, the TV explained that Madonna's new video, Like A Prayer would be premiering at 10 pm ...and that was enough for me to stay home that night ...just to wait for that video...and my oh my, that video did not disappoint...to this day, even though I am 65 years old and dying of throat cancer, I play that video at least twice a week. . . And I play it LOUD, my computer is hooked up to a 90-inch TV with a complete PA system running the audio. I use the subwoofer as a coffee table in this room ...
Classic Madonna this tour was to me what made what defined her career what set her career off in ways no one in this world could imagine the energy the passion just amazing absolutely not to mention Live aid around this time too her performance there equally incredible not to mention the exhaustion early in her career it was non stop not much of a break you hear in her voice I vaguely remember my mother telling me going into this tour she was sick and lost a lot of weight it’s not easy on anyone but you have to keep pushing and pushing just the way it was for most musicians this was an era of 7 days a week 5 show’s average a night at 4 hrs a show work life that to me would break me.
This is Cobo Arena (Hall) May 25, 1985 ..... It's the very same place where she saw David Bowie on June 22 or 23, 1974 .... She was 15 .... she says she snuck out of the house to go with her friend, and was grounded the rest of the summer for it. A recording exists of Bowie's June 22 show..... I don't believe anyone has confirmed what night Madonna went. or who her friend was.
This one looks better than the Blond Ambition upscales since it benefits a lot from being shot on film rather than cheaper TV cameras. Also being in 24 fps really helps with the cinematic feel.
Madonna memories, I always enjoy seeing Madonna live as she knows how to put on a live show. This Tour is still one of my favs & the dancing is Tip Top Madonna as usual ❤️❤️❤️💃🏾

She was untouchable in the mid eighties.
She had it all.
Looks, voice, moves, charisma.
Голос раньше был другим!
And songs.
Then she became a force to be reckon with in the early 90s
Taylor Swift is as popular now but I've watched her videos and I just don't get it.
@@lewisner yeah. Swift might have a slightly better voice but in all other departments Madonna kicks her ass.

My thoughts exactly!! She’s full on dancing but full on singing, and very well at the same time! Seriously impressive
That’s Right 🤔👍👏
She sings better than Mariah can dance.

Her best tour vocally. Her voice is fresh and young.

She sounds great, but there is also a backing track playing for sure, she pulls the mic away at times, but her voice is still coming through.
