However, I am not sure whether Thalduwe Somarama was a willing participant from the beginning or whether he was brainwashed or tricked to execute the assassination. Nandana is portraying an overall positive picture of Wimala Wijewardene here, which I think is a good thing, particularly when we put her in that political era and what she achieved in her four year stint as the health minister. Having a sexual relationship with corrupt Buddhist priest is of course put her character into question. The new information I've gathered here is that Mapitigama Buddarakkita's liking for beef as a "bite" for his regular whiskey drinking habit. The reason is that these sexual orientation and political ideology/camp issues are interconnected these days than ever. We need to discuss whether the alleged homosexuality of SWRD was factual or fabricated by his political enemies, local and abroad. Then we can(and should) also discuss Dudley Senanayake's background in that regard as well. We know Ranil Wickramasinghe has been a lifelong homosexual. However, we should try to refrain from discussing Naki Nariya's political and otherwise heinous crimes with his homosexuality.
