Vigilante showing that he cared about the group by being worried about Economos health. He was fearfully to lose his friend to them at first but became essential in a team and plan. Loved that.
Regarding the cameos… the actors don’t own the characters, for better or worse. If WB would listen to the fans and pay the extra money to the fan favourites and just flick the ones that aren’t (cough Amber cough). There are plenty of swaps that fans would accept.. and plenty that will tank the franchise.
I was surprised to see the Justice League cameo. Sad we didn't see Henry Cavill or Gal Gadot Wonder Woman out of the shadows. But Miller and Mamoa were enough. Thank you James Gunn. Can't wait for Season 2

Honestly I enjoyed Peacemaker a bit more than the MCU Disney + series. Maybe because I didn't expected alot from it and just went on with the ride. And it was a fun one. Also that JL cameo was icing on the cake. James Gunn is indeed a mad genius.

Absolutely the entire season was nearly perfect. Cena showed range, the rest of the cast was fleshed out nicely. The music was perfect. James Gunn dives right in and always delivers. I can't wait for the second season. That's the first time I'm saying that about a show in a very long time.

Loved the action and brutality in the finale. Really felt movie quality. Awesome seeing the JL particularly Momoa and Miller. Cool to see Chris’ growth as he stayed with an injured Harcourt who was touched by that gesture. He also forgave Adebayo and even kept butterfly Goth alive.
The way that they showed the JL, I thought for sure they were not going to actually have them talk or see them but that was so cool! "It isnt a rumor" "Fuck you Barry"

Been watching Book of Boba Fett and Peacemaker both shows about rehabilitatied anti heros on a path of self-discovery. I think peacmaker did all of it way better and was actually in all the episodes of his own show. Watching Boba turn into a care bear crime lord just doesnt work for me.
Because boba never turned into anything. He was the exact same character from min 1 of episode to the very end. He never needed reform or growth because he started where they wanted him to the end.

I agree 3000% it's my favorite show of the year so far and it was completely unexpected. I've been a DC fan since the Super Friends (I'm a fossil yeah ya punk) but never expected to absolutely love Peacemaker so freakin much. Can't wait for season 2.

i do think its pretty cool to have a justice league appearance, and at the very least we can tell that this happens after Aquaman 1, which takes place after justice league. I'm glad they aren't giving up completely on the idea of maybe doing a justice league thing in the future. Gunn alluded to the challenge of getting Cyborg and batman in this shot from an article i read on IGN which feels like it lines up with the WB/Cyborg situation. Cause im sure if Gunn could he would have had them all. Also just realized Peacmaker still has the explosive in his head so that's not good lol. Also I'm guessing another suicide squad film isn't likely based on the ending to this lol.

I was pleasantly surprised on how enjoyable this series was. One of the better DC/Warner projects in recent years considering there are no major stars on this show. It ran on the strength of writing and the performances of its cast. Season 2? Yes please.

I also have one interesting theory that we only got to see Flash and Aquaman talk. And guess what they are the two characters getting movies this year ;)
Loved it and hope there is a season 2. I also loved how Gunn made a subtle statement against the Elites by having Peacemaker realize that what Goth was saying was wrong. Their minor inconvenience of killing people, is a major inconvenience to the people's families they have killed and taken over. This is similar to how the Elites view things as "minor" inconveniences to them, but in reality is a major inconvenience to people without the Elites resources. Like how locking people up for 2 years resulted in higher death rates and suicides among people with mental instability and caused families to lose their savings, lives and relationships. In the end Peacemaker realizing that his vow was wrong and that Goth's vow was similar. In theory both well guided, but in reality wrong, was fantastic.
Not quite sure that's the reasoning that Peacemaker employed, or the message that Gunn was trying to convey was about the "Elites". The butterflies were an invading force in search of a new home planet after they faqqed up their own. They were infiltrating the world's power structures by taking over police, politicians etc. Their ultimate goal was to displace ALL of humanity, but they quickly realized that they could NOT afford to take a slow, methodical insidious approach because humanity was very quickly pha king up the world without giving a $h*t about it. So they were going to FORCE change on humanity and do it without mercy. Peacemaker realized that short-term or long-term, the butterflies were going to kill everyone he knows and cares about...that regardless of their declared noble motive...their end game is eradicating any threat...i.e., all of humanity! IF ANYTHING, it's more about how there are some with very ill-intentions who use a façade of noble, just cause or loyalty to country or paternalism. This can apply to BOTH the so called patriots or the self-declared progressives who are doing it for YOUR OWN GOOD!
This was definitely one of the best from james Gunn and john cena really did a great job.yes I loved this amazing I'll give it 9 out of 10. One of the best so far

Overall James Gunn is pure genius, from fighting scenes to script is fantastic. The timeline is very interesting wish the all the members of the JL made the cameo. An Kevin your punch lines always on point 😂.
For the cameos I guess they just shot the scene on their solo movies sets. So flash and aquaman. Bringing superman and ww would probably have required to have them come specifically for this ... expensive ....
This show gave me more chills than Wanda vision and loki combined. Though the loki's first few episodes were far better. But all the episodes of peacemaker were top notch also.

It wasn't a perfect 10/10 but definitely a show I've recommended to friends. John Cena and the show in general is funny, the cast really worked well together. Vigilante was fantastic as well.
How is this the show you're most excited for, but have no videos of the episodes..? I mean if Marvel puts out a 10 second trailer, you'll make 5 videos about it. But where's the Peacemaker love..? Do better.
Gunn is such a genius writer. We got everything from this series - music, humor, actions, character development, emotion, etc. The storyline is simple yet very well done. Whoever thought the Peacemaker TV series can be this good? We all never expect much of it and we didn't really want to see this character again after The Suicide Squad. But here we are, enjoying the best experience out of Gunn's crazy vision. I love this show a whole lot more than the whole TV series MCU put out so far. No doubt Peacemaker tops them all. Respect.
Id rate this show 8.5 / 10 , everything mixed / played out wonderfully from the actors, story, scenes, visuals etc... and john cena is a really great actor given his background as a wwe wrestler. Will be following for season 2 for sure!!
I started watching it after I found out the JL cameod, needless to say, I was hooked from the first episode on. This show might as well be the thing that pulls the DCEU out of the shadows of the MCU.
I disagree... the cameos weren't even in my top 5 favorite moments of the episode. I mean don't get me wrong... fucking awesome. Problem is calling it a high point in the episode when there are literally dozens of fucking awesome moments to pick from that top it.
I absolutely loved this series!! DC finally starting to figure out their universe. The Boys has been my fave hard core super hero series until this, and they’re both awesome despite being completely different.
James Gunn said that what's really cool with the cameo is that MARVEL shot that for him!! Apparently they were on the Guardians 3 set and shot it there.
I don't know why but now due to the lack of Police officers in the town I could actually picture Vigilante going off and becoming an officer in the next season. Perfect cover for him, if he catches a criminal he can just kill them then and there or get them later on as Vigilante.
Tbh I think her daughter exposing her ain't gonna change anything knowing waller and it just makes her an even bigger target now for villains of dc or criminals to ake her hostage
i was so surprised to see the justice league that i didn't even think about cyborg and batman not being there until now. great series. i also never thought of john cena as the doctor of thugonomics. meaning he did a great job.
I was iffy after the first three shows. I think they got there footing and the rest seem to have hit a stride where the character and story development seemed better. All said this is one I might do a rewatch at some point. I also think season 2 could do some good things and be really fun if done right. I will have to wait and see. 7 out of 10

For the cameos I guess they just shot the scene on their solo movies sets. So flash and aquaman. Bringing superman and ww would probably have required to have them come specifically for this ... expensive ....
This show gave me more chills than Wanda vision and loki combined. Though the loki's first few episodes were far better. But all the episodes of peacemaker were top notch also.

I love seeing the Justice league cameo but seeing that cyborg and Batman missing really saddens, and not because they couldn’t make it but for other reasons. I hope I win the dune set tho

It wasn't a perfect 10/10 but definitely a show I've recommended to friends. John Cena and the show in general is funny, the cast really worked well together. Vigilante was fantastic as well.

The finale was just great. And yes it is so far this year the best TV show. It proves that us so called grown up love comic book tv shows as well
Gunn is such a genius writer. We got everything from this series - music, humor, actions, character development, emotion, etc. The storyline is simple yet very well done. Whoever thought the Peacemaker TV series can be this good? We all never expect much of it and we didn't really want to see this character again after The Suicide Squad. But here we are, enjoying the best experience out of Gunn's crazy vision. I love this show a whole lot more than the whole TV series MCU put out so far. No doubt Peacemaker tops them all. Respect.

Id rate this show 8.5 / 10 , everything mixed / played out wonderfully from the actors, story, scenes, visuals etc... and john cena is a really great actor given his background as a wwe wrestler.
Will be following for season 2 for sure!!

I started watching it after I found out the JL cameod, needless to say, I was hooked from the first episode on. This show might as well be the thing that pulls the DCEU out of the shadows of the MCU.
I disagree... the cameos weren't even in my top 5 favorite moments of the episode. I mean don't get me wrong... fucking awesome. Problem is calling it a high point in the episode when there are literally dozens of fucking awesome moments to pick from that top it.
I absolutely loved this series!! DC finally starting to figure out their universe. The Boys has been my fave hard core super hero series until this, and they’re both awesome despite being completely different.
James Gunn said that what's really cool with the cameo is that MARVEL shot that for him!! Apparently they were on the Guardians 3 set and shot it there.
I love how they portray Peacemaker as fighting a war within himself.
Great show. Great balance of humor and drama. More like this please. Finale was great. I just wish the series would have been longer.
I don't know why but now due to the lack of Police officers in the town I could actually picture Vigilante going off and becoming an officer in the next season. Perfect cover for him, if he catches a criminal he can just kill them then and there or get them later on as Vigilante.
Maybe DC should just stick shows? 🤣 cuz this was fantastic and I hope they can keep it that way!!

i was so surprised to see the justice league that i didn't even think about cyborg and batman not being there until now. great series. i also never thought of john cena as the doctor of thugonomics. meaning he did a great job.
I was iffy after the first three shows. I think they got there footing and the rest seem to have hit a stride where the character and story development seemed better. All said this is one I might do a rewatch at some point. I also think season 2 could do some good things and be really fun if done right. I will have to wait and see. 7 out of 10
