Love the video Sam 👊 I’m the Ben parkes green top hat backwards guy . Thanks for pacing. Just coming back from a cold so couldn’t get anywhere near sub20 that day.
@@Jay_bradleyArunnersRC hey dude! That’s completely fair- those conditions plus a cold are not the one for going for it, so you made the right choice!!! Good job regardless as you went very well!
Another great video, Sam. Loving the real deal commentary and labelling of other runners 😂. Cut scenes on point 👍. Unfortunately, as I'm 46, I'm one of the imperial perverts 😅. Keep it up, mate, great content. Glad to see your subs increasing.
Fantastic job mate. I do love your commentary on these videos too. I don't think i can even fathom a 20 minute park run at the minute, that is my target, but my current PB is 26.25. I wish i could get back to my sub 16 days from my teens, but at 40 now, i don't think ive got a hope in hell haha.
Ice = treadmill time for me😂no way am running in that cold 😅 struggling to get back under 20 minutes after a few weeks recovery break. Looking forward to getting back to 19:30 🚀
@@AndreRees that’s a fair one- most of my other runs during the week are treadmill as it’s just quicker and easier, bring on the sunshine!!!! You’ll be back it for sure, just set off hard and hold on for dear life 😅😅😅
@ I never understand the concept of negative split 5k. I rather hit it hard from start to finish and hold on as you say 🤣 10k though I do tend to build my pace rather than go flat out at the start. Cardiff parkrun is really flat and fun to do …. Should give it a visit one Saturday
@ I hear you, I’ll maybe do a slightly slower first k and then push on but often it’s a case of go for it and pray for support in the legs 😅😅 Cardiff sounds good, if I’m ever that way I’ll come down!
I need you to pace me for a sub 20 but I know I'd die, current PB is 21:41, I'm a solo runner apart from the odd park run. There's something about park run that brings out another gear and energy reserve so I think I need to get on them more!
@@tompearce9935 100%, that’s closer than you think, get on some parkruns and just try and go 15 seconds quicker easy week, that’s only 3 seconds a k! You’ll soon be at 20:xx and when it’s that close you can find that gear! Also buy new shoes it’s great for morale 😅😅😅
@LightitUpSBthanks for the advice, those 3 seconds are going to get crushed on my next run! I'm all for the new shoes part, got to dig my hands into the sofa to find a couple of quid first!

@@theheathenrunningproject plenty of 40 year olds smashing fast times below 20mins so there is hope!! Thanks very much, keep at it!
I did Worthing Parkrun last Saturday and can vouch for the poor traction! Kudos to you for getting a sub-20 in those conditions. 👏
@@RichardHitchcock-ig4lj thanks very much! Yeah was not ideal- hoping for nicer weather this Saturday!
Great job pacing mate.

Plz do parkrun with crown my run
Love these parkrun videos. Personally don’t enjoy the clips/memes, they’re not funny and don’t add anything to the video, otherwise very enjoyable.

@ you’re welcome, I’m enjoying your content just find those clips interrupt the flow of the video. But I might be showing my age!
@@edwardaustin6410 it’s good to get different perspectives and is something I hadn’t thought of so food for the thought!
