- Relisha Rudd was just 8 years old when she disappeared from the D.C. homeless shelter where she lived with her mother and siblings. She was last seen March 1, 2014 at a Northeast D.C. motel with 51-year-old Kahlil Tatum, a janitor at the D.C. General homeless shelter.

Yup...I heard her case on Crime Junkie and I can’t believe her mother let her go with a man to buy a BATHING suit and have a sleepover at a motel for a pool party!!!!! Now seeing this video of how little reaction there is to how the mom is speaking makes me really wonder what she knew, what she isn’t saying. Poor kid, she was only a kid...wanting protection and love and to be taken advantage. I truly hope she is found.

Oh man I can’t remember the documentary name but it’s on Vice on homeless adults. There was a woman there that she said her mother sold her for drugs and she was only a kid maybe 10-12 years old and she was abused and raped. It was so forceful that her pelvis was broken!!!!

This reminds me of these so-called "loving" same sex couples adopting babies who grow and are mistreated and ostracized by peers because of their adopted parents.

If I.was sending my child on a sleepover , even with my own family --if the adult In the house said something like that " if me and my husband die"....I would take my daughter back home with me before that sentence could be spoken.

Because she’s a shitty mother. She knows why he has her. She either sold her to him, or maybe even leased her daughter out to him for some money and he just never returned her thinking the mother wouldn’t care...she’s a shady fuck and a terrible mother. Only other explanation I can think of, is that the mother had some type of empathy disorder where she has kind of the mind like a serial killer dose. She looks right at the camera with this almost disappointed look and says “I got a lot of questions for him...blah blah..” she doesn’t ask him to return her safety it was my fault you aren’t in trouble I won’t press charges. Not pleading to get her back...she’s lying and isn’t good at it. She doesn’t look like she’s an addict or has substance abuse problems to be honest. That would have been my first guess is trading for drugs or leasing her out for drugs or money to get drugs..think about this they found out this poor child was missing by the state investigating why she wasn’t in school and where is she!? The police did a great job and worked FAST to find out everything they could. Unfortunately the states investigation was a bit slow, most likely because they are overloaded with delinquency cases and others.

There is a lot that isn’t told about the relationship that this man had with this 8 year old child. This, what your seeing is normal for that girl. The family would allow him to take her all the time for a day or even overnights! This video was shot on a hotel and the family knew that she was with him at this exact moment. Kalil was taking her to go buy a bathing for a pool party that was supposedly happening at this hotel. That’s why this video seems so normal. If we saw this video and I asked anyone in this comment section, “What do you think is going on in this video? Who are they?” No one can say that they don’t look comfortable together, Kalil isn’t looking around or looks shady looking for cameras and the little girl doesn’t seem to be in distress at all. Saying she looks tired is dumb, she’s carrying something that’s heavy lol. We all know this guy is a sick fuck. But the family LET this happen. But we also have to think, why? Kalil was close to this family. The mother thought this was ok, or atleast she thinks this was ok. Shit even the grandmother let her grand daughter go with him! None of us would let this happen, ever. But we have to think now, we’ll if the grandmother sees this as ok and the mother does. Then was this something that the mother was exposed to also as a child? And maybe even the grandmother? Kalil is grooming this child. And for nothing good. She needed to be protected by the people she loved, her guardians. Her mother doesn’t have a crazy addiction nor does the grandmother. I’d have to think that there’s some mental disability at play here also. Unfortunately there are cases exactly like this, 1000s. In another case the grandmother was groomed as a child from a very very early age and raised to think molestation by family and outsiders was a way to show love, now if you are surrounded by those people and kept in a very tight nit family setting and are told never to talk about any of this to outsiders, and was just a shy child and wasn’t taught by schools or anyone that this is NOT ok. Then your views on molestation are totally different than mine or any of yours! In that same case, the grandmother had her two daughter at 16! And then the father and uncles did the same thing to the grandmothers daughters, and that cycle kept on with the next generation. The way it stopped was because the father and uncles were caught for kidnapping, child pornography and multiple murder charges of children. The grandmother, her daughter and grandchildren knew and openly took part in all of those murders even though those children her with poor girls age! Manipulation is BIG. With social media now a days and schools teaching that this is not ok and to always be aware and to let someone know is helping. But not a lot. Along with being groomed the victim is also ashamed. Pushes that “this ain’t right” feeling away. Plus this little girls mother was homeless, struggling and I’m sure not having her child to take care of was easier for her than to think, this isn’t right. The school system failed this young girl, the mother and grandmother did also but we don’t know what type of upbringing they had, this could be the norm for them. This is why everyone needs to always be aware of family. The signs are there when this shit is happening and we need to raise alarms when we notice them. This guy was a predator. He chose jobs that put him close to family’s that were already struggling and at risk for addiction and mental disabilities. Also if they went missing they aren’t always looked for as someone from a suburb would be. This is why we need a Dexter around lol. For sick fucks like this guy!

I was a senior in high school when this story first surfaced and many years later, I’m still very much emotionally attached to this because I want her to be found so the ones close to her can get closure. 💔 I have a gut he definitely killed her. And with what happened with his wife, you don’t just commit a murder-suicide out of nowhere. His wife knew something.
