Thank you for this info. Went through all the possibilities and eventually found that particular brand of SD card was the culprit. Well done with your instructions!
Thank you, sir! I had a problem with a mini SD. An error message popped up on my car dash cam saying that the memory was full. This was a surprise because the dash cam erases the old data for the new. When I checked the SD on my laptop, I noticed that the name of the card changed to weird symbols, and I couldn't access the recorded videos on it. Eventually, the simplest formatting helped! Interesting fact: the system wouldn't let me format it because of the strange symbols, so I changed the name of the card to something simple.
If you have a non compatible SD-card due to its size, as I had, there are ways to downsize the SD card through your computer. There are vids on youtube to help you with this. This worked for me, bought a 128gb SD card for my old camera, which apparently just could have a 32gb size. Now works fine as a 32gb card, but atleast i don't have to buy a new 32gb card
I don't know what is going on with the SanDisk Extreme PRO 128gb card, but it is not working for me anymore. I formatted the card on my camera but it keeps saying that the card is full.
i tried them all but none worked. Ive had two micro SDHC cards just randomly stop working. One was brand new and was working, then just stopped working second time i turned the dashcam on. The other was some gaming stick. But could it due to poor quality cheap micro sdhc cards being used by the seller?
I just bought a San disk SDXC 128gb for my power shot sd630 the manual didn’t give a specific sd card. I keep getting the error even after formatting it on my computer but it won’t allow me to format it on the actual camera.
I would think that camera will only accept much smaller capacity sd cards. From a quick Google search I just did, it seems it will only take 2GB cards.
I bought a new 256GB for my brand new Sony RX10. I fitted the card and then attempted to format it . After a couple of minutes a message came up "Image datatbase file not ready" . I tried this several times but the camera wouldn't operate. Could it be this card is not compatible, I tried it in a fujiHS20 and images wouldnt store. Could it be that as both cameras were made at least 6 years ago that this card can only be used on recent cameras. Card sandisk 256GB SDXC UHS-1 95MB/s. Or is this new card faulty. ps Both cameras work with an old 16GB card. Thanks
I think you have answered your own question. If the 16GB card works in both cameras, then obviously, the other card is not compatible. A quick Google search for "Sony RX10 compatible SD cards" is all you need to be sure.

I would not recommend that. I have emailed SD card manufacturers during my research for this video, and they warmed me against using any type of cleaning spray or lubricant. The card may work now, but it probably won't stay functional for long.
I do not believe that you sprayed your SD card with that solvent, WD-40. WD stands for water dispersal 40 is the number of formulas they tried until they got the right one that would work for each designed purpose it should actually be called WD 41, because several years ago, they reformulated it, so that it would not be flammable. You know what children all these companies think we are, and that we can’t be trusted. I have a manual for a motorcycle from the factory that says “do not drink gasoline. “ many people think that WD-40 is a lubricant. It is not a lubricant. It is a solvent, a solvent will rinse off any lubricant residue you may have on some thing that you think you are lubricating such as a door hinge I simply don’t believe you spread that with WD-40, I think this was an attempt at humor

cool merci pour moi c'est la premier erreur carte lock lol
None of these things worked. I didn't throw mine away! I found another video that said to spray WD40 on it and it worked immediately.
I would not recommend that. I have emailed SD card manufacturers during my research for this video, and they warmed me against using any type of cleaning spray or lubricant. The card may work now, but it probably won't stay functional for long.
I do not believe that you sprayed your SD card with that solvent, WD-40.
WD stands for water dispersal
40 is the number of formulas they tried until they got the right one that would work for each designed purpose
it should actually be called WD 41, because several years ago, they reformulated it, so that it would not be flammable. You know what children all these companies think we are, and that we can’t be trusted. I have a manual for a motorcycle from the factory that says “do not drink gasoline. “
many people think that WD-40 is a lubricant. It is not a lubricant. It is a solvent, a solvent will rinse off any lubricant residue you may have on some thing that you think you are lubricating such as a door hinge
I simply don’t believe you spread that with WD-40, I think this was an attempt at humor

@mychannel-lp9iq the card might be one that is not compatible with your camera. Check the manual for compatible SD cards.

@@photographersfreedom hello, why does formatting the card on my camera take so long (20mins) atm but still haven't done yet.
@MarkAaron-i7n I have no idea. It shouldn't take that long.
It says 'Card connot ve acessed😢

Fix number zero break the card buy a new one
😂 wait that’s fix 11
i accidently removed sd card during formatting in phone as it was taking alot of time, i thought to format it in Windows. from that moment my sd card is not detected by any device.....upon connection nothing happens like no prompt or notification....like nothing connected. how to solve this??????????/
Removing during formatting is never a good idea. Try data recovery software such as DiskDrill www.cleverfiles.com/data-recovery-software.html
