Definitely independent diners for me.
For my experience the quality of food is much higher.
But chain restaurants are the American culture? I get what you’re saying but these types of restaurants are what a majority of Americans go to/can afford.
If you go to another country, Google will tell you a popular places near you, but the locals might not necessarily be fond of it. But it’s the cheaper option for locals due to the popularity
@@malik-ll9yz dude. I am American. Why are you telling me what American culture is? Also, "American culture" is not some monolithic thing. There are several American CultureS. Chain restaurants and strip malls are one of them. But there are others. And even on the chain restaurants side of things, there is a difference between national chains, regional chains, and local chains. You're definitely limiting yourself if you stick to a handful of nationally known brands...
“Why do you come here?”
“I’m hungry”
“Fair enough” 😂
My favorite place to eat is Cracker Barrel. It’s such a fun place, and every time I go I vow to get something besides pancakes. Then I smell them and can’t help but get them
Texas Roadhouse 10/10
Yessir, real American shit
"Whats the big deal with Applebee's?"
It tastes like shit
Right. Fast,Cheap,Easy. Taste like hot garbage.
It doesn’t taste that bad 😂
You were probably spilled growing up
@@shaneleigh1293 Most people who grow up in rich EU countries or South Korea/Japan (And some other places, can't name them all) like myself learn to appreciate the high quality foods we eat on a daily basis. The US food quality especially in fastfood restaurants are incredibly low and I highly doubt that applebees is any better than what I'd expect it to be (never went there I don't visit many fastfood places because I actually value quality). Fastfood chains in the US just have a terrible image in some places
@@user-pe6ct7ut8t you are partially right, i can absolutely see where you're coming from saying you value food quality (as i do myself, having grown in a very priviliged environement) but its no reason to look down on people who probably can't afford the insane quality standards privileged people are used too. Im sure everybody would like to have the best food if they could, but they cant.

Your blessed, there food isn’t really good, honestly I ate there like 4 times and there food was subpar, could make something better and cheaper at home

I’ve never been to Applebees either but the name makes it seem bad

Denny's if you can find one, but you need to go between 11pm and 2am

Texas Roadhouse, the first time I went there I was so surprised by their service that I said thank you like 20 times ^^;
The Roadhouse in my town is horrible. Half the time the service is nice but the food is almost never made right. Makes me sad because always hear people say how good it is.
@@MsZombieality that’s a shame 🫢 maybe it’s because I don’t usually go out dining in restaurants, but I was really just overwhelmed by the hospitality when all I’ve heard online about restaurants is the bad service. Plus, their rice was so yummy, when paired with a sirloin it was pure bliss on my tongue~ >< ofc, it’s also probably just a case of different tastes ^^; I’m a very picky eater so when I find something that I really like, I always make a mental note to go back.

If you want to immerse yourself with American culture eat at a local owner Barbecue restaurant or something. Applebees is about as good a representation of American food and culture as an Olive Garden is for Italians
I love how he was so respectful most people roast the heck out of those kind of places
I’ve lived in America my entire life and never been in an applebees
I’m warning you, don’t go!
Don't go. You'd be safer breading and frying a pound of lard in lard, then lightly sprinkling a pound of salt on said lard. As you can see from Mr. Chili's, he's all about eating a healthy diet.
You’ve been spared lol
I have twice. The food is mediocre at best
@dick trickle Used to go for the drink specials and would wind up getting some appetizers. Never would I ever step foot in there again.
Didn't grow up in the US, but is somehow the most American person i've ever seen.
For our family we like Applebee's because it's quick cheap and they have stuff for the kids to eat and to keep then busy while we eat. Plus they make good drinks at our location.
"I'm trying to understand why everyone goes here" and in the bg nobody's there
Is this how others really view American culture😭
As a non-American, yes. From a foreigner's perspective, we relate America to fast food chains, supersized anything, guns, hypersensitive to race, gender and criticisms. But also viewed as entertainment geniuses when it comes to movies and/or any type of media shows, amusement parks, etc.
Yessir
@@madamebelle- accurate. As an indian I agree.
@@DrailD Israel and America have always been buddies, I know a lot of Americans who really like Israel too

It’s a sports bar that you can bring the family and create memories with it like eating the craft Mac and cheese with garlic toast. 😢 I miss those days!!!!

Find a place that only has one or two locations, that's the "culture"
Applebee's and other chains are shit generally
I've never even had applebee's and I'm American. The only restaurants I truly like are Olive Garden, O'Charleys, and McDonalds ofc
