I like this girl’s personality but there’s no way she actually LOVES every dish she eats.... i mean she didn’t even say anything about that tough breadstick she barely managed to rip apart. I wish it was a little more genuine.

Maybe she just really likes all food. My roommate is thrilled with pretty much any food put in front of her 😂 I can literally make us spaghetti and canned tomato sauce and she’ll literally be like “omg Sarah this is amazing!” 😂

Maybe they've improved (skeptical), but I worked at an Applebee's for about a year in college fifteen years ago. After seeing behind the curtain, I don't eat there.
Fifteen years is a long time ago. There's *alot* of standards that were never implemented back then that are now in place.
Prob can say that about most places! Nobody would eat out if we did know!Lol

I feel the same way about McDonald's. I haven't eaten there since I quit working there 8 years ago.
However, I used to work at Taco Bell and I still eat there to this day. The only thing I'd advise against is the Chalupas; the shells are supposed to get thrown out 15 minutes after they're fried if they aren't sold, but often they were kept longer than that (up to two hours some times if it's a slow day).
as of last week (&without revealing what city im in lol) they have not improved. workers there now do not give AF. roach crawling over utensils...utensils not rewashed. dont @ me. believe it or dont🤷🏽♀️
I've been watching these videos simply because I'm fascinated by the type of food they seem to serve in these American chain restaurants. Huge servings, carby, deep fried, lots of cheese. I feel like we don't really have anything quite like it in New Zealand except maybe Lone Star or Denny's in Chch.

Wish she would actually critique the food. Some dishes from Applebee’s are super salty. And the Maple Butter Blonde is most definitely the best dessert!

Castle Cat Their steak is not that great. That whole surf & turf dish is super salty. I don’t know if she got a superb meal because of promotion but on an average day.... Food isn’t served amazing like that.

Well, they can if they’re unable to swim as they rely on moving around to actually function. One of the reasons why they die after humans have taken their fins and toss them back into the sea. Many species of sharks have to keep swimming even while they’re sleeping, or they can’t breathe as they rely on water literally being pushed into their mouth by them moving. Some sharks can survive being still, but others can’t. So whether the sharks in the drink drowned or not, depends on the species 😂

It’s weird to see so many people who hate Applebee’s, the one I go to is so nice and the food is always great. Is behind the scenes really that bad? I’ve seen a lot of comments that it’s all microwaved and like do y’all never eat microwaved food? If it taste good and is clean I don’t care how they made it🤷🏼♀️
They actually don’t microwave as much as people think, from my experience working there I still avoid it, but you never know some locations could be cleaner then others

If your not that hungry try ordering side of garlic mash potatoes w/ side of garlicky green beans. They go together well and total around 5.00. Side of gauc is only 1.99.
I’m really upset that the oriental chicken salad did NOT show up in this. That was literallyyyy my food that I would eat. Like...the only thing I’ve eaten at Applebee’s.

I hope the right person reads these comments...my new favorite thing to do is watch Julia tries episode and write down what I want to try from the restaurant from said episode. Example, I tried the beer cheese and pretzel bread sticks, freaking awesome and would definitely get again. The chicken mini wonton tacos have been a favorite since they came out years ago, the triple appetizer with wings, spinach dip and chips and melted cheese in flat shell was very good but the wings and cheese sticks were better. Anyway, please keep giving us episodes like this as long as you can stay safe with what's going on in our world lately.
I gotta admit, they make really good cheeseburgers. Gotta try thay Quesadilla burger next time.

My personal favorite dessert is the Blue Ribbon Brownie. And when people ask me what dessert I recommend, I usually recommend that one. The brownie comes out hot, served with ice cream, drizzled with chocolate sauce, and it melts in your mouth.
