Something that I frequently ask myself is if I could ever befriend with someone like them. Not because of preconceptions, but damn, we probably see things so differently especially when it comes to the beauty industry literally promoting these types of cosmetics as a mean to profit with people's insecurities. Like, I totally need a top surgery because I want to go swimming and take my shirt off. That will hugely improve my health. But jawline? Nose job? I think I'd talk to my therapist first. Sure it helps emotionally to some degree, but what leads someone to dive this deep like these two? Of course they were insecure about that comment while they care about how they present. Many people that do modifications do it to keep up with beauty standards and because they have money to do so, and that not just shows up in the first glance or talking about costs, but they reinforce the ideia whenever they think a teacher wouldn't be able to afford it...
