MY FIRST YEAR WITH THE SUZUKI IGNIS. Would I still recommend it?

- I bought the car new a year ago (on credit by the way), and I've had good, bad, normal and ugly times with it.
But, in the end, what you want to know is, What's life like with the IGNIS, especially if you want to take it off-road. After all, this is a 4x4 channel.
Can I sincerely recommend this car, with my hand on my heart? Check out the video to find out!!!

Well, a classic love-hate-relationship in my opinion. Please cut the little Ignis some slack, it never wanted to be an offroad car, it is just a micro SUV with pseudo 4x4. And it's the only "4x4" in its class, so this got to be worth something, too. Maybe stop the hate, you know deep down you love the little guy! ❤
Tengo un Ignis como el tuyo y estoy muy contento con él. Eso si a mí en el concesionario no me engañaron, me contaron la realidad de los suzuki y me explicaron que el all grip del ignis era el bajo de gama. Para salir de apuros y poco más, aunque he podido comprobar que no solo te saca de apurillos. Eso si, jamás pensé que iba a ser un 4x4 puro. Para eso está el Jimmy. El ignis se comporta muy bien en nieve y barro y en cualquier circunstancia en caminos normales.
Lo he exagerado mucho para hacerlo más entretenido. Lo que dices es 100% correcto. 👍
@@easy4x4 Lo que sí hecho de menos es no poderle poner unos neumáticos de campo sin tener que cambiar las llantas también... Para mi uso así ya sería perfecto. 😁

A ver, si comprastes este coche pensando que es un todo terreno ,te equivocastes, demas esta que le pongas ruedas, suspension ,etc. Suzuki como todo terreno tiene el JIMNY y ya te digo yo que este no le defraudara. Lo que usted a comprado es un utilitario pequeño ,un vehiculo urbano con traccion a las 4 ruedas pensado para caminos sin complicaciones donde requiera algo mas de altura que un turismo convencional y un pequeño plus de traccion por si se encuentra algo de barro o nieve y digo algo.

Me gustaría saber qué opina el Ignis de ti,está claro que no te informastes bien de lo que comprabas y para que lo querías.
Para usos puntuales de fin de semana podria salir bien....pero como lo quieres llevar con freelanders,dusters,etc.... le as pedido demasiado.....buen video amigo,,,,
Pues éso. Es un coche utilitario asfaltico cumplidor, con capacidades de todo terreno asociadas a un utilitario pequeñito y sencillo. Creo que es el coche SUV 4x4 con uno de los precios más honestos respecto a su calidad. A mí me asombra para ser un vehículo 4x4 diminuto su capacidad de adaptación y amplitud.

Creo que el error de Suzuki es no tener versión automática AWD en este Ignis, solo lo puedes comprar manual.

Podías hacerle una reprogramación de la electrónica al motor y sacarle mucha más potencia, creo q después de hacerle lo de darle altura libre (4,5 cm) y ponerle buenas ruedas 4x4 lo dejarías en condiciones para competir con los Duster y Freelander.

Hay que ir a un taller que manejen el tema de la electrónica. A todos los vehículos se le puede hacer una reprogramación de la centralita y es barato (de 150 a 300 euros) y se puede comprobar en esos mismos sitios la potencia ganada en los bancos de potencia.
A un Duster de 115 CV se le puede subir con una reprogramación básica a 140 caballos (hay algunos vídeos en UA-cam para verlo) y si quieres subirlo más también se puede pero ello implica ya modificaciones de motor, admisión de aire,...para que el motor no sufra consecuencias.
Hay muchos talleres que se dedican a eso.

Genial tu valoracion sobre este coche, gusta ver videos donde se habla sincero sobre los vehiculos.
Dicho esto como bien dices en zonas de nieve y pistas faciles pues cumple con su cometido pero no lo saques de ahi....por cierto la rueda de repuesto la podrias llevar en el techo ponienod unas barras de techo y liberarias espacio en el maletero...

Gracias. Tema rueda: no puedo ponerlo en el techo porque lo aparco en la calle y haría mucho ruido en marcha claro. Pero me gusta como queda 😅
@@easy4x4 claro ya depende donde vivas, en mi pueblo hay varios 4x4 con la rueda en el techo y duermen en la calle
@@Culturaoverland donde vivo yo, no me atrevo, y aunque quede bonito, el ruido tendría que ser molesto. Y tengo los MT recauchutados que son insoportables 😅
@@easy4x4 yo llevo una tienda de techo y no hace ruido, la rueda también la he llevado en el techo y no hace ruido...
Otra opción podría ser que le pusieras la baca y solo pongas la rueda arriba cuando vayas a hacer offroad y el demás tiempo lleves un kit antipinchazos, es una rueda pequeña que no pesa y puedes subir y bajar con facilidad
@@Culturaoverland un kit para campo es un desastre! El problema para mi es la pereza, y mi espalda, bajar la rueda de mi piso por las escaleras y ponerlo en el techo cada vez que salgo, me mataría! Como voy como mucho con mi hijo, hay sitio de sobra para la rueda y no jodo mi viejo cuerpo 😅
Aún a algunas personas les es complicado entender estos 4x4, es como que compares el 4x4 de un Rav4 o un CRV con un jimny o un LandCruiser, son DIFERENTES tipos de 4x4, unos enfocados a la ciudad/lluvia contra carros de barro duro

I put a thumbs down for the following reasons:
a) Too much shaking in the video, it get's people dizzy. There is shoothing software you can pass the video through first to fix that, you know.
b) By the 8th minute most of the things you said are disingenuous and, combined with the shaking, I had to stop watching. Suzuki is a cheap brand? Not really, but the Ignis IS the cheap option and they do NOT hide that. You act as if someone tricked you into buying it, yet it is really marketed as "the cheapest AWS car you can buy". As such it is obvious that it is also amongst the worst AWS cars you can buy. Whoever said that this thing is a "mountain goat" type of car? Noone.
c) You depict the boot and back seats while you have pushed them forward and you sit in there like a tuna in a can to make an impression. Why didn't you put your spare wheel in the boot vertically (it fits, I've checked) instead of horizontally?
Here's my honest review:
The Suzuki Ignis is a great car for what it does: It it affordable, it is economical in fuel, it can move well in various terrains ( cities, motorways, countryside roads and farming roads with reasonable mud and slopes ), it is really "made in Japan", it is spacious inside for the driver and the passengers and it is reliable if you use it within its specs.
What the Ignis is not great for is to be used for transporting stuff (you can add the roof bars though, so that can be fixed) and to be used as a real 4X4 and take it to the mountain trails. Just because you made that mistake, that doesn't make it a bad car. If I buy a cow and expect it to lay eggs, it is not the cow's fault.
d) Personal preference: Lose the attitude. It is not as funny as you think.
Thanks for the long reply. What you say is right. I did this video in a theatrical way exaggerating the faults and inventing others to make it more entertaining. Also having some ither frustrating things happening in my life at the time, so... I projected it on the poor car 😬😏. I'm trying to improve with each video. Which car do you drive?

I bought a Suzuki Ignis (AWS, mild hybrid, manual gearbox) a couple of months ago :D Since I do not take it to the mountains (yet), I was enjoying a couple of videos/reviews of other people doing so, to see what it is capable of. I do live in the countryside though and so far I am very happy with it both on the regular road, the highway and the mud/gravel farming roads.
My previous car was 31 years old so, as you can imagine, I would have been happy with any new car in comparison to the old one, but I think that the Ignis with the small size, a bit of extra height and the somewhat-better-than-a-normal-car performance out in the countryside is a very good choice (the fact that it is economical in terms of fuel and I pay no taxes for it due to the low emissions is also a plus)

La pena de los jimnys nuevos es que estan como vehiculo mixto con las desventajas que ello tiene junto a un precio algo elevado...yo pense en hacerme con uno pero al final descarte la idea

Tengo que corregirte.La chapa del Ignis es la mejor del mercado porque está conformada en caliente y es muy delgada para que no pese aunque suene a lata.Las apariencias engañan
Sorry if you cannot calculate but my Ignis takes 5,3 l fuel on average and that means around 580 kilometers (theory) But that means at least 500 Kms
I've never got it below 6L / 100kms ever. It looks like the MT tyres and off road driving play a big part. If you're just driving it at 30kph in 5th gear all the time to save petrol ⛽️ then that's another question.

@@easy4x4 se pueden comprar ambos Jimny e Ignis. Pero aquí no existe la versión 4x4. Y el Jimny tiene lista de espera de 8 meses.

Tengo un Sorento y no entendí porque te lo cambiaste por un Ignis, un 4x4 con reductora es lo que te hace falta para el canal!
De todas formas es un video muy divertido y tienes que reconocer que le das muy mala vida al pobre Suzuki 😅
Vendí el Sorento por el tema del diesel y la emisiones y fue un gran error... horrible. De momento iré tirando con el P#&% Ignis 😁
