- WOW hard to believe this car is 15 years old and times sure have changed. We still like giving New Edge Mustangs some love with bolt on parts and even superchargers. This baby features some of the parts in the links below. Maybe next time its in we will install a supercharger or heads, that is for sure the next step on this sweet New Edge.

I was a GM guy back then. I bought a brand new 01 SS. It put down 310 stock and 335 bolt ons. My best friend had already bought a 2000 GT white convertible with the style bar (literally the best looking new edge I've ever seen). I hated white and Ford at the time but loved that car. That may have been the beginning of my changing of the guard. His car put down 260s with his bolt ons and just barely couldn't make 400 whp with the nos dry kit for these cars ( made 390 something). We pulled more pussy in his car than my black SS by a long shot💃! I remember after we installed the NOS , Nitto DRs, and the ram clutch. He went 11.98 and swear we acted like we cured cancer when that number came up. 🤣🤘🤘 Great times. I want one so bad to park beside the Kona blue Coyote and may even get white !
George and I used to both have a new edge, and yes we agree on the new edge vs SS comment. Ours would do the same thing.

I've rode in 700hp cars, but I still just don't understand how fast these cars feel for how little hp/tq they make.
Its chassis stability. My 16 ran 9's in the quarter and was BORING you could drive it down the track with 1 finger felt like a 11 second pass. These, and fox bodies always felt super fast at lower power because I think they were so much harder to drive in a straight line. THANKS
SlpprEatrr 03 this. My friend has an 04 2v. Bolt ons. Not even longtubes, and when he punches it the thing feels brutal, yet the car makes probably 250 wheel.
@@Thomasrollins_ check out my videos, I have a bolt on 2v without even a tune lmao. I do have 4.10 gears but damnit son the car is monstrous.
It’s the fact that it’s a lighter car. And the seats are designed to give you that neck breaking feel. :)

I have a huge soft spot for New Edges. Just bought a V6 in mineral gray as a commuter while saving to get back into a GT. I let depression get the best of me a few years ago and lost my 06 GT due to job loss/getting behind on payments. I’m on my way back to the top!

Not at all, thank you. You guys were the first ones I saw offering emailed custom tunes to people like who live in the third world, middle of f### no where. You also provided me with an update when I bolted everything I could find and on E.U octane which rocks. :)
@@BrenspeedEngineering any chance you would set up a tune for my 04 2v? has Cushman NA stage 2 cams, bbk plenum and 75mm throttle body, bbk full length headers into a off-road catless x pipe, and a cold air intake, 4.10s. has a bama tuner, bought the car this with the bolt on' s. car runs good but after a heat soak, if shut off, will start and die when going to start it, if I open the throttle up a tad it starts fine. seems rich on bottom. any help would be awesome!! I understand it's a 2 yr old video too so crossing my fingers

Some long tubes high flow x and a tune that thing would have to be getting near 360 to 380 at the flywheel. The 4v can breathe I have to think long tubes would make a major difference on that motor. The do wonders for the 2v and the stock mid pipe is a major power killer on a 2v I have to believe it’s literally choking a 4v.
@@N3HomeTechMine already has SLP long tubes and catted X pipe. Plus a little more in the works once it warms up.

2002 GT i have the Vortech V3 stock engine. how much boost do you recomend on it with no intercooler? right now im in North GA but im moving to indiana in a few months so i may just have you guys dyno tune it for me. do you guys do remote tunes? something just to keep me running safe until then? i have both HPtuners and an SCT BDX for it
We typically keep a stock engine 99-04 Mustang under 400 rwhp and prob around 8 psi. On the new edge I do not remote tune and in general we only dyno tune cars we build. This is because the dyno is booked each day with cars being built in house. Here is a link to some kits though that we do install. Thanks!

What’s the cost of the kooks headers for this car. I actually own the car in the video.. the ones on it had the weld give away on drivers side.

Everyone seems so shocked when a 2v is the subject and someone is talking power. If you don't already know these gts can make up to 450 rear wheel horse power with no problems. That is with factory internals in the motor, factory drive shaft, a factory transmission and factory rear end. Add the 15 to 20 percent hp back onto that 450 whp to get your crack hp. Yeah my good man... nothing to be over looking. There are recent videos of a dude running 10s in the 1/4 mile with a full factory 2v. Think of any car... new mustangs or even more expensive cars. Running 10s ain't easy. Someone let's a 10 second car go you dam$ sure gonna respect it.
So when are you all gonna make an adapter plate for b-head 4v's so they can get roots style blowers

@@THEWATER3UCKET Airflow is monitored by the MAF sensor and compensates for any changes. So correct, no changes needed for cut outs.
