The crazy thing about this is the like residual affects this has on people. I'm not even in solar, I'm in d2d telecommunication sales, and a lot of the same concepts translate. Taylor is having more impact than he probably knows. Thank you brotha

I explain net metering over production and then explain that’s based on kwh and the connection fee is something the utility company is still going to charge that we have no control
Over but they have control and predictibility over the kwh and over production if there usage goes down

The only way her payment will go do to $158 right away is if she gets all of her tax credit the first year. That means in the meantime she will be paying over $250 a month which is higher than her stated average electric bill. From other reports, it seems most people aren't even aware of how much they pay in federal taxes only to find out they actually pay very little to nothing. In other words, she may never even get close to the total tax credit and will be paying $250 for the next 20-25 years. This is the reason you didn't ask for a pay stub because the homeowner will realize they will get very little back.

@@TaylorMcCarthy Easy for you to say this now since we can proved disprove it. I've come across enough solar sales people and I've known enough people who have been scammed into it with lies about the tax credit to know that sales guys aren't straightforward and specific about how it works. All you ever do is ask "do you get a paystub or W2" and you tell the potential buyer that it means they qualify for the tax credit without explaining that it's only up to their tax liability amount.

Ive been doing this since 2014 and use @marcostaxout multiple ways to qualify for tax credit everything was transparent

Besides a few lenders let you re amortize more than once. Some lenders you can re amortize once a year if your pay down exceeds a certain amount.
@@TaylorMcCarthy Don't forget to tell them that their systems will be outdated by the time they finish paying them off. After 25 years they may not work as well as when they first bought them so they may still have to replace them with new panels anyway. You make it seem like ones they are paid off they will have free electricity for life.
Also let them know that that it will cost them a good penny to remove them and reinstall them when it's time to replace a roof, and that annual maintenance is required to keep them clean and working at full efficiency.
And you are also assuming that the electrical company will not change their metering policy in the future.

As someone with industry experience we both know 65,000 is not happening especially with the standard markups. Little unethical to throw 65 grand out there when it is not realistic at all

@TaylorMcCarthy what do numbers have to do with anything? Of course, you are selling deals. But that doesn't mean you are doing it the best way you could. It just means that you are selling lots of deals. But that's OK man. Because I know that if you and I had a serious talk about what's wrong with how solar people talk about solar power, you'd agree with me in a heartbeat.
And I'm happy to boost your engagement. I can't imagine how a few comments from me could impact that, but hey, happy to help.
