Don't just copy Taylors pitch and style 100% because it might not work for you. But try to take bits and pieces from multiple different people that are successful and create your own.

I did pest control for a summer and did pretty well. I would do well, then I would hit a wall. I had to change my pitch, did well again, then hit another wall, then change the pitch again. Constant adaptation and an iron will are what's going to get you success in this industry. D2D isn't something I wanted to keep doing but it was a great lesson for me. If you want success, you can't accept ANY excuses between you and your goals.

probably a lease aka (power purchase agreement) program it's more like a bill swap but the client is still technically renting the the energy just a a lower fixed rate. its usually better for elderly people because the company applies the tax credit instead of the client.

I believe Mass still does that too but not sure, also California I believe still does that as well, not sure about a lot of the other states.

there is no tax credit unless there's taxable income coming in which I highly doubt with a couple that's is that old.
If they have a retirement or certain investments then they pay taxes on those. Even old people can still pay taxes.
