I literally just UA-camd “best do all pistols” three days ago trying to find the best pistol to conceal and use for home defense. It’s like you read my mind
M&P’s without back straps will definitely fit small frame hands. That’s how I keep mine so anyone in the household is comfortable with either and I suck it up and adapt. The fact that the FPC and MP9 2.0 have the same grip makes it nice to transition back and forth.
What's even better is my M&P40c 2.0. Yes, it's a 40, but with a barrel swap it's 357sig also, same mags. With the 9mm conversion barrel from KKM and a 9mm magazine, it's just fine as a 9 too. Not to even mention the Apex trigger.

I love your channel. What I love about it most is that it is literally a gun channel and nothing more. Some of the other gun channels are good but it such a turn off once they start talking politics and bashing one side over the other. You don't do that and from what I have seen so far you haven't inserted your political biases in your content. You just stick to the guns at hand and what they are about. So thank you for making your channel friendly to people who are not into politics and that are tired of seeing it in gun channels.
Mine is just the decocker base model. I started carrying it soon after it was available for purchase. I added Ameriglow sights. I love it. What impressed me the most, the forst time I held it, I said that is the "just right" gun and it has been.
I bought mine as my first firearm. I do want to get the CGW omega trigger and spring kit though. The trigger is very gritty and the break isn't precise.
@@himbe23the CGW trigger return spring will 100% make an Omega trigger break even more vague and mushy (and honestly too light for a carry/defense pistol) I recommend doing the CGW hammer spring, plunger spring, firing pin retaining pin, and leaving the OEM trigger spring in. It also helps maintain a more positive reset. The P-07 has a decent trigger as far as the Omega goes, but I ended up selling my Omega P-01 because I hated that mushy, vague Omega trigger. As much as I love CZ, their double action pistols leave a lot to be desired as far as consistency and smoothness. I've felt an SP-01 with a perfectly smooth, probably 8 pound DA pull with no stacking or grit, and P-07s that would max out a 9 pound gauge and stack like Jenga. That said, my buddy has a CZ-82 with LOTS of mileage, and man that thing is as smooth as a buttered frog's ass. I know everyone loves to double the cost of their gun with a CGW pro kit, but I think the best thing you can do for a CZ is to just shoot the hell out of it and it will smooth out nicely.
2024 February I picked up S&W M&P 2.0 Metal Competitor for home defense, April I picked up the S&W M&P 2.0 9M 3.6 for EDC... Soon I will pick up the Performance Center S&W 500 7.5" for any final bosses out there.

Glock 19 gen 3 is my absolute favorite pistol. I know it's older than dirt and lacks some of the features of the newer guns, but the best feature for a carry gun is it goes bang every time you pull the trigger. When it's your carry gun, you're betting your life that it's going to function if the need arises. I've been shooting Glocks for over 20 years, and this is my opinion for me personally.
I’ve been carrying a Glock as my service pistol for around a decade. Absolutely refuse to carry Glock off duty. Glocks have been surpassed by so many companies. They are relics.
@@Hialeah1925better triggers, same reliability, more features for the same price…. Glock is as popular as it is due to the time it was released, hence parts availability. When one considers what you get for the price, the M&P pistol series alone is better than a Glock. Throw in Canik, Beretta, FN, PSA, etc., and the list of guns surpassing Glocks starts to grow.
@@brianf5190I don’t disagree with you. Glock hit the gun zeitgeist which led to their dominance. I built a p80, and though I personally don’t care for Glocks they are good guns that are easy to work on.
I still consider the G26 to be the ultimate do-it-all pistol. I’m not sure if they now come with an optics ready version, but that would be the only knock on it. You can literally carry it anywhere, unlike the others on your list and it takes all the mags above it, including the 33 round fun stick. It is also incredibly shootable, even better than the G19 in my experience. Not sure why but it is for me. 😀
The Cz-10c was actually my first gun, but the large back strap on and 1000 rounds later no problems at all, and with the talon grip it’s a game changer
Sig is the most innovative gun manufacturer at this time. Sig definitely has the best research, development, and engineering in the business. Don’t be surprised when the next innovation comes out!
I am so excited that you added the CZ P10C, I have the S and F as well. My bed side gun is my p10c. I think a lot of people forget about the CZ lately. Great vid...My wife would say her HK VP9SK would be the best all around for her.
Sig Sauer P365 x-macro all the way. I love that I can swap out the fire control unit between 3 grip modules and countless slide options to accommodate whatever the task demands. It's optics ready out of the box and with a little break in, the trigger improves dramatically. I love mine and pick it up 3 times to every pick of my Glock.
Why would you be swapping out three different grip modules? Does a pitcher change out three different baseball gloves? Do you switch out your shoe size for three different ones throughout the week too??? No, you don’t. Nobody does. Why would anyone need to constantly swap out grip modules? I find that it’s a toy to some. How about just finding the RIGHT size in the beginning and sticking with it?
@@colt10mmsecurity68We're not talking about baseball gloves or shoes, always nice to have options to switch up for roles, such as making it easier to conceal in hot weather. So if you want to make a shoe reference you're not wearing boots in the summer when sneakers are more appropriate.
that sounds like spending a fuck ton of money on one gun when for the same amount of money you could have just bought multiple guns that do all of the jobs of this "one gun" better (although it's hardly "one gun" other than in registration considering you also have to keep around extra slides, barrels, grip modules, magazines, ect. as well for the multiple jobs) i guess i'm just not of the opinion that any 1 gun does need to "do it all" really and think it's a stupid mindset to have in my opinion
canik and S&W performance center are the best triggers out of the box IMO but i've seen recent vids about PDP trigger and over all perfect out of the box gun in all but the smallest version... opinions vary on that like everything else.
@@dh5341gotta shoot a pdp and you will know the trigger is better then both. I’ve owned 4 caniks and 3 performance center m&p’s, pdp is king of striker fire stock triggers no question.
Plus Holosun now makes a green dot dedicated to the PDP so it is direct mount - No more mounting plates between the gun and the optic. The lower mounting is a more natural aim. It is the SCS PDP-GR.
Hey I'm currently in the market for a new weapon when I happened to ask the salesperson to see a 4" PDP. It easily had the crispest slide release and best trigger of all the ones I have looked at. I think I'm going to go with the 4" Compact PDP Pro. Has yours held up??
Absolutely agree with this list. The Glock 19 is the absolute king, and will forever be. The only other pistol I carry is the 43X during summer sometimes, or when I’m wearing a suit since it’s a bit more comfortable. But the G19 carries nicely and comfortably with any clothes honestly. Appendix carry with the right holster and you’ve got it.
Yep. Also the S model. I love all of my CZ's. Was never good at shooting handguns until I got the 10C. It helped me alot. I can ring steel from far out now with my CZ's, Walthers and M&P's.
@@toynazi - I own a large collection, and CZ certainly has earned its place of respect. I think it has to do with them actually testing/firing the pistol to check function + iron zeros a the factory but what the hell do ik. I can say for certain it's more than the 1rd "yep, it works" test. Love my CZs and thrilled to get m Shadow 2 Compact next wk.
new PDP-f owner here. so hyped! Shot it today for the first time and it was magical. F is for fantastic. Don't overlook the grip on this thing, much better purchase for many people. Not just for small hands.
You can get a mag guts kit for it and it adds 2 rounds and literally zero to the length of your mag. I have them on all my mags for my 365x. 14+1 is super sweet. 19+1 is amazing!!
Unfortunately for Honest Outlaw and us there are only so many handguns or firearms that need to be reviewed. Honest Outlaw doesn't get many samples from the industry so he has to fund all of them so videos like this help pay the bills.
Currently using a PDP 4" Compact for HD. Have a 17 round mag from the PPQ. Need to look up that 20+ round mag! Tomorrow I will pick up my improved HD firearm. Extar EP9! My carry is a Shield9 Plus. Carry with the 10 round mag and a 13 as backup. Still waiting on my 15 round mag to get back in stock... Thank you for another great video!
Good stuff. I currently carry the Taurus G3 series. I have a 3c frame and couple of slides and mags, so I can make it into whichever one I want. And your videos on them helped me pick it as a reliable carry gun. But out of this list, I'd honestly go with the P-10c. It'll be part of my collection as I get closer to being able to needlessly have as many guns as I want.
I have a first gen Shield that literally gets beat on, rarely cleaned, and will still run flawlessly no matter what. The M&P’s in general have literally been my most reliable pistols - hands down.
Why? If you aren't close to the salty coast it shouldn't rust that much. Also, if you carry you'll sweat on it. Don't be impressed by 'We put it in an ice block' , be impressed by magazine reliably feeding and 2-3 malfunction in 5k-8k rounds, that you can shoot it even when you're hurt and lost 2 fingers, pointability and easy to stay on target even if you yank the trigger like crazy.
Another great video, Chris. My "Do-all" has to be the Canik TP9DA. True do-all that can be edc, home defense, competition, recreation, and de-cock for the perfect duty pistol. Thanks, brother.
I've been thinking that for a while. The biggest things Glock has over S&W at this point are brand name and the fact their magazines are damn near everywhere.
I went through a process of EDC pistols because at the time I started, ranges weren't doing a lot of renting guns. In short, I still have all but one of my series of attempts at finding a suitable carry piece. Since the first pistol of my collection was a P10F, it made sense to try a P10S as a carry gun. One problem is that the -S grip is too short for me to effect quick magazine changes, so I tried a P10C. Like a lot of new shooters, I was reluctant to carry "hot," so I learned more and got to the P07, which of course uses the same magazines as the P10F and P10C (the -S ones are too short, of course). I have a Shield 9 (prior generation to Shield Plus), and had an M&P M2.0, and while I recognize that neither is a current product (both were bought in fall of 2020), I found the triggers on both to be "crunchy" compared to my CZ pistols. There's a P365XL in the safe, too. I want to like it better than I do, because it's a marvelous gun, but it's just too darned narrow for my hands. Ultimately, if I had to pick a "do it all pistol" out of my safe, it would be the P07, for the reasons you stated with the P10C but adding that I like the DA/SA trigger system a little better.
CZ P07 in .40 (gen 2) and Springfield Armory XDM Elite 3.8 9mm are my primary edc guns. I rotate a few others in from time to time but 90% of the time I'm carrying one of those two. Having a compact platform that takes larger model mags is nice. I always have a flat base for carry and an extended mag as a backup.
H&K P30 LS, EDC and night stand gun. Mine has a safety and a decocker. The holster was harder to find but well worth it as it also fits my H&K 2000SK. Cost a bit more but well worth it.
Forget my ignorance, I'm an old & moldy person (very bad arthritis) and a beginner. my fist gun was an XMacro... nice but the trigger is little too hard, the I follow in love with the 1911 FS ender up with a rock Island 45 and a Bul Armory 9mm... love them. Finally, las month find my true love the Staccato C2, expended over 2 grand but is really wort it.
Glock all day long. I’m shooting the G34 Gen5 MOS in competitions and man it rocks. Also very worth mentioning is the easy handling when it comes to taking the gun apart and cleaning. That’s actually a point that many people forget mentioning. If you shoot a lot you need to clean the hardware more often so there is no easier gun to take apart and clean than a Glock. And no I’m not a Glock Fanboy :) I also own other guns and love em all but the Glock platform is just smashing it. Cheers from Germany :)
MY 2 CENTS...These are all reliable and well made pistols, albeit, accurate too, but my 2 cents why it doesn't necessarily make it "A DO IT ALL..." The issue here is the "DO IT ALL" tag. Having the capability to "do it all" doesn't mean one has got it all figured out, esp. if one's ONLY doing it ---IN a GUN RANGE. But to get to the point... 5) WALTHER PDP COMPACT-- 4" barrel. BUT the Walther short trigger reset makes for a VERY sensitive striker fired trigger (good for experienced hands), no external safety. The PDP is also well-known as a HIGH BORE AXIS pistol, despite being front-end heavy. 4) CZ P10C -another striker fired; quick reset trigger. Reviewer is all for accurate, rapid fire stationary shooting in the range. Having high capacity and having a quick reset & taking a bead on an unmoving target doesn't necessarily equate for a "do it all." 3) SIG P365 MACRO --another quick and sensitive reset--since strikers are MOSTLY cheaper than the DA/SA actions--which again, doesn't equate for a "DO IT ALL." And again, always on the range; no real life scenarios. You cannot always be in just one (very controlled, unchanging environment (the range) and broadcast that the gun is a "DO IT ALL." 2) S&W M&P 9 -2.0 3.6" extra cap w/a 22 rd mag. (unlike the shield)--striker fired. Again, hi-cap. Again, in a gun range makes it a "do it all"?Reviewers like this who can shoot accurately, day in and day out (and owning their very own range) seem more capable of making pronouncements which gets a branding of legitimacy, and stamped with a "do it all" brand. A true mark of hubris! 1) GLOCK 19 -- another striker fired, (yawn) but a right choice for #1 as Glock is the original striker fired, well tried and true, endless customization and ALMOST universal acceptance of its mags. And as he said, "give credit where credit is due." Amen.Of course the CZ P-07 can't be # 1 ...it's a DA/SA (not striker) LOL (again, my 2 cents...and I don't shoot as well as he does.)P.S. I expect to be muted and deleted....(and it has been twice) but if it happens here--...it shows through the immaturity of the UA-camr's outlook in life as well as in his reviews. Gives new meaning to the word "Honest Outlaw." He can dish it but he can't take it.
Great List personally if I have to only have 1 gun for the rest of my life im going with a Glock 19x, here is why, straight out of the box you get a gorgeous gun (I am one of the people who loves FDE) you get a gun with a Glock 19 Slide so its compact and concealable, while getting a gun with a Glock 17 Grip so you have that full-size grip, you then have a very nice night sights, also out of the both you get 3 mags (at least mine did and everyone I've seen sold does too) one 17 round mag and two 19 round mags. This is my EDC gun, I work at a gun store and this is the gun I carry every time. You can take all Glock all Gen 5 Glock mags or sand down the front lip thing and then take all Glock mags. Super easy to take apart and clean and out back together and I've never been to any gunstore where they didnt have an insane amount of Glock mags, parts, or holsters. And if you do the new Glock 19x MOS you have a threaded barrel and optics ready, what more could you need?
I had the Glock 43 for about a year and a half but recently purchased the Glock 19 5th Gen for my EDC and also the Glock 43X MOS for my wife. I love the Glock 19 so far. I only put 150 rounds through it so far but no issues yet and the gun is a perfect size. It has the right amount of capacity for me and my needs and the thing simply works.
Great list,I also really like the IWI Masada slim, takes the CZ 75 pattern magazines so you can bump up the capacity. I don’t mind the no rail,I carry small EDC light instead.
An honorable mention for this list in my opinion would be the Taurus G series of pistols (G2/G3). I have a G2C as my everyday carry, it has a lower rail that can mount a light, laser or a combination light and laser, it uses the same magazines as its predecessor so you can get a 15+1 capacity very easily, and unlike other Taurus products, it boasts outstanding reliability. I’ve got over 1000 rounds through mine and I’ve had maybe 2 malfunctions in that time, and I think those were due to cheap ammo. My .22 Glock has a higher failure rate than my Taurus. The only con I can think of with my Taurus is that if I want to mount an optic, I would need to take it to a gunsmith to have the slide cut for a mounting plate, that being said, the stock sights are easily upgraded so I can swap them out to something better if I so desire. I paid $200 for my Taurus, and it’s pretty hard to beat that price point for a do it all gun.
Your last statement about having only one gun led me to sell off three pistols and one rifle, bank most of the money and put me with a new S&W Equalizer. I’ve had lots of guns but over the years found I really didn’t love any of them. Including my G19. But one gun I had brought me back to Smith and that’s because when I had I had a love affair with it. My S&W Model 915. Bought it at a show for $200 as it was old inventory and I literally grew old with that gun had it almost 20 years. Sold it and start my path to collecting. Two weeks after I sold it I wanted it back. Dealer I sold it to said it was already gone. God I missed that Gun!! 6 months ago I started a quest to find my new S&W personal favorite. I’d had shields and shield EZ’s but none felt right and I shot them mediocre. Then, I got the Equalizer. Fk the name, who cares. What a fantastic gun for an older guy like me. Love everything about it and first time at the range it was like I went back in time 20 years!! I am a Navy Vet and was a FMF Corpsman with the Marines and my Father was a Cop. I learned to shoot very young and continued thru my Naval Career. My 915 and this Equalizer are the best shooting guns I have ever personally shot. The worst was my Issue Baretta M9. Ugh that thing was terrible. Well thanks for all you do, looking forward to more content. MT(Sub)
The M&P 2.0 3.6 is a great pistol. I have found due to shape it conceals a little better than a g19 and due to that slightly shorter barrel it is more comfortable. Mine has been 100% reliable and I carry it every day.
@Dogglegg he probably likes it for all the reasons Honest named. Shoots super flat, holds 17+1, can change multiple grips, light weight and easily concealed
The X macro is great but for primarily EDC the XL is so much more comfortable. The XL has a long enough barrel and can get 15+ mags for home defense and distance accuracy. Some dudes don’t mind carrying a compact size pistol everyday but I am not one of them. The XL is the largest I would ever edc.
My X Macro with a Holosun and XL with a Holosun are great shooters. From 7 yards to 100 yards it is great. I am amazed with it's shoot ability at the size. They are so slim and you notice it. Try 1.
To me, getting the slide milled is the way to go anyway. It removes a failure point by guaranteeing no need for a plate, and the direct mount often co-witnesses with standard height irons.

Excellent review as always👍. I happen to have the Glock 19 and primarily use it for home defense with a 25 round mag. I prefer a smaller pistol for EDC and have a Ruger LCP Max 380. Looking forward to watching more of your reviews. Keep up the good work. !
Great list. Lot's of great guns out there. Wondering why the Berretta PX4 never makes it on your favorites lists? I ask this because it is Ernest Langdon's personnel favorite and I respect you both.
I think the ability to take larger mags is a very big deal for this category. It is probably the biggest reason I went down the Glock path a long time ago so it is good to see so many more manufacturers have seen that benefit and added it to their lineups.
I have a P365 for carry and a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS with an EOTech EFLX and Nightstick TCM550XL for home defense. I only carry the P365 because it’s smaller and way more comfortable to carry but if I’m going somewhere sketchy, the Glock will be with me
LOL Chris. I have versions of 4 out of 5 best do it all ones you got on the list. I bought a PDP full size 4.5" as soon as it became available on the market. I also have an M&P 10 full size 4.6" barrel, my wife carries 365 XL and at the time of a purchase I preferred the Glock 23 Gen 5 (optics ready one) instead of the boring 19. Great list, great firearms my friend! Thanks for your opinion.
I chose the 365 macro since I’ve been using other 365 pistols for awhile. I also use a bul sas ultra that has been a nice alternative. Love this channel
Shalotec definitely makes #3 one of the best options... If you start with the macro grip, you can always change to the XL or the 10 round flush and grip even with up to a 4.1" barrel or a comped 3.7" barrel.
For me, it’s not just about a few mags. It’s about the grip angle and the actual product itself. Pretty much feels like shooting the same M&P that I’m used to only in rifle carbine format.
@@stevesmith756and terrible grip texture and placebo firing pin safety ;) both guns have it pros and cons, it is only the matter of which things are more important for particular shooter
Love this video. I'm on my journey towards buying my first pistol. Primarily for home defense and occasionally in the car. I want to make sure i learn to shoot plenty and practice so i have gois habits before i carry. But this video was really helpful.
Hey chris any plans to do another Cz shadow 2 compact video? I know you like to feel confident in your guns before you will fully back it. I know you have the torture test video but would love to see another update and your thoughts!
I prefer the m&p, but the g19 is easier to conceal, unless it's winter. I recommend the shield plus for carry, but it works for home defense if it's all you have as they now make factory 10-15 rnd mags. Either way, if you can afford it, I'd recommend eventually getting dedicated firearms for conceal and home defense.
Good choices for sure. I recently replaced my G19 with the G45. Added Trijicon HDxr sights and a Timney Aplha trigger . Awesome fighting pistol and easy to carry .

M&p 2.0 9 c, 3.6 barrel, 12, 15, 17 and 23 mags. Goes nicely with folding mpc creating nice system.
I run this duo and couldn’t be happier. FPC also is a perfect 100 yard scout setup pcc.
I’ve been considering that same combo as a good defense setup. Especially if it will fit smaller hands too ( tall me and short wife)
When you live in Maryland you can’t get a mag with more than 10 rounds 😭 F democrats

My CZ 75 P-01 Omega has been my primary EDC for the longest.
Mine is just the decocker base model. I started carrying it soon after it was available for purchase. I added Ameriglow sights. I love it. What impressed me the most, the forst time I held it, I said that is the "just right" gun and it has been.
Mine to. It was and is my first and only carry for years. It’s much more impressive, sexy, and tune-able then other striker fired pistol. 🤙🏼
@@TheOfficialCaseMade thanks for the info! What about replacing the P-01 Omega trigger with the CGW trigger all together?

Glock 19 gen 3 is my absolute favorite pistol. I know it's older than dirt and lacks some of the features of the newer guns, but the best feature for a carry gun is it goes bang every time you pull the trigger. When it's your carry gun, you're betting your life that it's going to function if the need arises. I've been shooting Glocks for over 20 years, and this is my opinion for me personally.
My dad has a glock 19 gen 3 and it started jamming maybe the ammo or he didnt clean it for awhile idk he def doesnt clean it often but shoots alot
I’ve been carrying a Glock as my service pistol for around a decade. Absolutely refuse to carry Glock off duty. Glocks have been surpassed by so many companies. They are relics.
@@markb3451Surpassed how? With unnecessary diva features?
@@Hialeah1925better triggers, same reliability, more features for the same price…. Glock is as popular as it is due to the time it was released, hence parts availability. When one considers what you get for the price, the M&P pistol series alone is better than a Glock. Throw in Canik, Beretta, FN, PSA, etc., and the list of guns surpassing Glocks starts to grow.
@@brianf5190I don’t disagree with you. Glock hit the gun zeitgeist which led to their dominance. I built a p80, and though I personally don’t care for Glocks they are good guns that are easy to work on.
Outstanding list. I've been watching your channel for 7 years and it gets better every day
What a time to be alive and like guns! The biggest problem we have in choosing a new gun is how many choices we have.
Be like a Pokemon trainer...gotta catch em all!!!!
Lucky you. Where I live you cannot have guns easily. It's actually pretty harsh restricted. So I can only dream and watch others enjoy them.
So if you want to make a shoe reference you're not wearing boots in the summer when sneakers are more appropriate.

that sounds like spending a fuck ton of money on one gun when for the same amount of money you could have just bought multiple guns that do all of the jobs of this "one gun" better (although it's hardly "one gun" other than in registration considering you also have to keep around extra slides, barrels, grip modules, magazines, ect. as well for the multiple jobs)
i guess i'm just not of the opinion that any 1 gun does need to "do it all" really and think it's a stupid mindset to have in my opinion
The P10 C is almost same dimensions as a Glock 19 but 100x better trigger. Love it
Walther PDP Compact is a great carry gun. Best out of the box trigger, ergonomics, and reliability. Never had a single malfunction 👍
canik and S&W performance center are the best triggers out of the box IMO but i've seen recent vids about PDP trigger and over all perfect out of the box gun in all but the smallest version... opinions vary on that like everything else.

My Beretta 92 M9 Compact works for me. A bit heavy, but doable. Also can take 30 round mags. And I strap on an Olight for the home.
The rusty Shield video convinced me that would be my carry gun.
I have a first gen Shield that literally gets beat on, rarely cleaned, and will still run flawlessly no matter what. The M&P’s in general have literally been my most reliable pistols - hands down.
That very same thing has been done to Glocks for decades and they are all over UA-cam. Lol
@@Hialeah1925 right. And I agree but, I do not like Glock triggers.
Why? If you aren't close to the salty coast it shouldn't rust that much.
Also, if you carry you'll sweat on it. I got P-01 Omega as "the only one". I really like it.
I feel like the M&P Series has surpassed the Glock in quality and shootability
I've been thinking that for a while. The biggest things Glock has over S&W at this point are brand name and the fact their magazines are damn near everywhere.
Ditto... but maybe because I own it
Your feeling is correct.
I'm happy with my Shield Plus, it's really versatile.
the new trigger removes any doubt! Apex no more. out da box goodness
Can recommend the PDP especially also for non-frequent shooters and beginners. The ergonomics are outstanding.
Xdm elite compact 3.8 is another great option! Built like a tank and a sweet trigger.
The sky @4:30 looks amazing.
Personally, I'm a fan of pistols that offer reliability, ease of use, and affordability.
IMO the Hellcat Pro should be on this list. After 1600 rounds I recommend it as its my #1
Happy to see my two guns made the list. PDP compact 4" and the S&W M&P 2.0 3.6".

You nailed it! I've used all of these except for the S&W. And they are all exceptional handguns.
Having high capacity and having a quick reset & taking a bead on an unmoving target doesn't necessarily equate for a "do it all."
3) SIG P365 MACRO --another quick and sensitive reset--since strikers are MOSTLY cheaper than the DA/SA actions--which again, doesn't equate for a "DO IT ALL." And again, always on the range; no real life scenarios. You cannot always be in just one (very controlled, unchanging environment (the range) and broadcast that the gun is a "DO IT ALL."
2) S&W M&P 9 -2.0 3.6" extra cap w/a 22 rd mag. (unlike the shield)--striker fired. Again, hi-cap.
My pick is the CZ Shadow 2 compact. Super fun to shoot, reliable, verry good out of the box, easy to dry fire. Most important thing, it looks good.
Chris, your always 100% correct when number one is a Glock
MT(Sub)
What's the complaints on the M9?
The M&P 2.0 3.6 is a great pistol. I have found due to shape it conceals a little better than a g19 and due to that slightly shorter barrel it is more comfortable. Mine has been 100% reliable and I carry it every day.
Owned and shot every gun on this list (including honorable mentions) and the Sig P365 Xmacro is by far my favorite!
@Dogglegg because I prefer it?
@Dogglegg you must not understand how liking things works. I like it the best because I like it the best
Try 1.
One of my favorite carry guns that are also do it all, Cz p-01, it can use the longer mags, only issue is having to have the slide cut for an optic.
To me, getting the slide milled is the way to go anyway. It removes a failure point by guaranteeing no need for a plate, and the direct mount often co-witnesses with standard height irons.
Love your perspective, it's like a breath of fresh air in a sea of sameness.

I think the ability to take larger mags is a very big deal for this category. It is probably the biggest reason I went down the Glock path a long time ago so it is good to see so many more manufacturers have seen that benefit and added it to their lineups.

Shalotec definitely makes #3 one of the best options... If you start with the macro grip, you can always change to the XL or the 10 round flush and grip even with up to a 4.1" barrel or a comped 3.7" barrel.
Smith wins this because you can pair it with the Smith folding carbine and have a pistol and rifle that share mags and grip ergonomics.
You can use glock mags with a hipoint carbine which, for budget based purposes, can't be denied.
About everyone makes Glock mag versions. I have several
Ditto … that is what I do, as well.
Making a choice around saving 50 bucks for a few mags? Not worth it
For me, it’s not just about a few mags. It’s about the grip angle and the actual product itself.
Pretty much feels like shooting the same M&P that I’m used to only in rifle carbine format.
Just started carrying the X Macro w EPS carry. This thing is my new favorite. Fricken love it. W/O the comp slide. Wanted the extra barrel length
I love my PDP-F 4”!
Love my G19....but. I EDC a 43X with a light and optic and the s15 mag.
I have the CZ P-10C. Great blaster. Do I need to get all the other ones 🤔. Probably
Great video
CZ P-10C is my favorite
G19 every day. Never had one misfire in thousands of rounds. And mags of any size are abundant and cheap. Sig seems good too but I’ve never tried one.
Try the CZ P10 C. Same size as the G19 but 100x better trigger and grip angle is correct 😂
Agreed! Would like to know more as well.
XR920P. Compared to my Glock 45 the XR doesn’t need any upgrades. Fantastic out of the box!
pdp-f became my favorite
I prefer the m&p, but the g19 is easier to conceal, unless it's winter. I recommend the shield plus for carry, but it works for home defense if it's all you have as they now make factory 10-15 rnd mags. Either way, if you can afford it, I'd recommend eventually getting dedicated firearms for conceal and home defense.
Next video idea.

Good choices for sure. I recently replaced my G19 with the G45. Added Trijicon HDxr sights and a Timney Aplha trigger . Awesome fighting pistol and easy to carry .
