Many months in the making, my Great Sword build guide for Rise has arrived in full force! Check out ten different sets to suit almost any gameplay style involving slashing, and use this build tool to tailor sets to your own talisman collection: mhrise.wiki-db.com/sim/?hl=en . For PC players, you will need to edit the Punishing Draw set until version 3.7 is live, as it uses the USJ event armor currently only available on Switch. Keep in mind that any levels of evade extender will mess up spacing for TCS wakeups, and also don't forget that wirebug whisperer is always a great quality of life skill if you ever have room on a build, since it can help chain together more hunting edges, or get out out of trouble with a clutch wirefall.
I did not include a Bubbly Dance build in this video because of the skill requirements necessary. Since Great Sword builds essential require Focus level 3, it really restricts build freedom compared to the Hammer. Plus, you don't really evade much with Great Sword outside of a Power Sheathe, making that skill not as useful. Keen eyes may notice in the intro that I used both an ACS and Hunting Edge in the same sequence. This is normally not possible since they occupy the same slot. Since this was meant to be a cinematic showcase, I used a soft-mod to allow me to swap between switch skills on-the-fly. This entire sequence was done solo and offline.
Shout out to the folks at r/MonsterHunterMeta for the basis of many of these sets!
All gameplay captured on a Nintendo Switch mostly with the Elgato 4K60S+. The super-smooth sections you may notice are slow-mo clips sped up to display at full-speed.
In-game graphical/soundtrack assets used are all from the Monster Hunter Rise game published by Capcom.

That beginning scene was amazing. So many of your gameplay edits were like looking at professional grade art. I almost forgot there were builds in this video
am I crazy or did he use both Hunting Edge and the other wirebug switch ability? How did he have both at the same time?
This is the most insane start I ever witnessed in a monster hunter channel, LOVE IT!
THE EDIT AT THE BEGINNING IS SO AMAZING KEEP UP THE GOOOOOD WORK
I love your epic sequences (same with the hammer one). The opening was beautiful, and that poor Tigrex in the end.... that's a really nice plus to the advices you give during videos. You do good, continue this way!
Will do! Thanks for dropping by.
thank you again for hammer build guide that was awesome 👌
looking forward to see more hammer video.
The opening. The transitions. Especially that Diablos power sheathe to Rathalos was so smooth!!! Awesome GS and editing skills!!!!!
I remember watching your Build A Better Hunter series for MHW:Iceborne, and oh my. All the memories are starting to come back xD. I only recently started to play MHRise and I am looking forward to more of this series. Great opening btw, shit was legit straight from a movie. 👌✨
Good to see you back, glad there's familiar faces around here. That opening was definitely harder than the Bazel intro for the Hammer vid. :)
I just love the footage you have for these guides, great stuff
Glad you like it, thanks!
Damn dude, your editing is on point!
Such of great series. Hope you can continue it with the rest of the weapons ❤️👍🏼❤️
bro i love these videos so fucking much , glad you posted again!
Wow great videos man. I recently found your hammer video and was genuinely amazed at how entertaining and informational it was. As a new Monster Hunter player i look forward to seeing more content from you as i learn this amazing game. I am playing hammer now but after seeing this i want to try greatsword also lol.
Then I have succeeded. Hopefully you’ll feel the same about HBG.
You could not have uploaded this at a better time. I was already prepping to grind for a GS build so this is perfect.
Amazing video as always, dude!
Glad you found it useful! I would definitely recommend the Tigrex build if starting out. The DH build is top-tier damage, but it’s not easy keeping it active the whole hunt (especially multiplayer).
@@Matadurr yeah I have been practicing with it after just using hammer and these build make it pretty fun to use rn I’m trying how to master tcs and hunting edge.
@@goldentyrant4822 yeah unfortunately TCS is a lot harder to use in Rise since the slinger burst from Iceborne is now gone. Hunting edge is also more difficult than ACS, but if you save it for long recovery animations you’ll have an easier time.
Your two Build a Better Hunter videos are the soul reason I subscribed. keep up the immaculate work.
With pleasure. Though I admit they will take time! (Hopefully not another 5 months until the next one, though...)
@@Matadurr Can't wait for the next one!
Wow, this is the EXACT video I needed. I saw your hammer video months ago and decided to switch to GS, and it just so happens you posted this 3 DAYS AGO! Very lucky , thank you!
Hope you get some useful info from it, keep on rockin with GS! 😎
That's some high quality gameplay pal, gj !
Dude, I watched both of your Build a Better Hunter videos for mhRise a while ago but only now I stoped to check your channel. I am stunned to see that you only made these two so far! Your content is probably the best I've seen of this game, please make some more. You are great
I really appreciate it. This past week I've been hard at work on the HBG video, the intro script is throwing a lot of wrenches my way though, controlling the overhead camera along with ammo/target management without manually switching ammos means I have to script every shot for the opening. I think I finally have a good take I can use so I can begin scripting the spoken audio soon.
@@Matadurr maybe you could use some camera mods to record it, or use a secondary POV (with another player), or both hahaha
I am sure you are going to do great with whatever the route you go with 😊
@@dedino5452 thankfully REFramework already has a toggle for game speed, so I have been using that to do my usual .25x speed recordings. The good news is that now I’m at a steady 60 frames at 4K, so there’s a lot of overhead for slowing down even further and cropping in without losing detail. Only downside is my poor old computer is struggling to edit this stuff now.
I actually would really like to install a mod to get the same general camera angle of Iceborne for gunners, because in Rise the positioning of the camera makes the Hunter usually block the view of the monster, especially when strafing right. Maybe for the Sunbreak update video, we’ll see.
Your video is a work of art, looking forward anothet weapon
Liked this video for the intro alone. That was sick!
holy crap, I was watching this at the airport and almost missed my flight due to how captivating and informative the video is. Thank you very much, love from China
Great stuff brother
This is the greatest intro ever and perfectly shows why I have been a great sword user for so many years
Keep on ‘a keepin on!
As soon as I watched the EPIC intro portion, I couldn’t help myself pressing ‘Subscribe’ button. Little did I know, I was about to find out the content itself is EPIC as well. Jeeze, plz keep making MH videos my man. Loved every second of your video. 👍
Hoping that the next one will come out in a few days. Working hard to get it edited together!
Bro this intro is epic, well done
The beginning was FIRE 😵👏🏻
I dont think ive ever subbed to someone within the first minute of watching lmao, that intro was awesome !
wow! that opening was so good!!
Broo you’re so underrated. You deserved more for this amazing creativity ❤️
Glad you enjoyed, thanks! YT’s algorithm is starting to pick things up, so I cant complain too much, but be sure to share my stuff around if you find it helpful!
I don’t even play greatsword and I’m subbing based on the opening gameplay alone. Well done!
That beginning clip is just your normal greatsword main having his chad moment
First minute and a half is pure art
Wooooo Yea Baby! That's what we've been waiting for! That's what it's all about! WOOOOO!
The intro looks and feels like an epic movie scene. Damn!
The intro was insane, I'm in tears.
Need the sns :O amazing video thanks a lot !!!! :D
SnS is happening in Sunbreak. 🤫
@@Matadurr 😍😍😍👌🏼
Thank you for magnamalo build, his GS also my fav design
Sure thing! Hope you can get a good talisman to really let that build shine.
cant wait for your next video like long sword and else
That opening was like the sort of thing they show in game trailers that's impossible but makes you want to play.
PLEASE MAKE MORE. these builds are super fun I want all the weapons
I'm doing my best! Will definitely have one out before Sunbreak launches, and will hopefully work on even more videos for Master Rank!
The intro scene for this video was possibly the best monster hunter video intro I've ever seen
Fantastic video, and I'm even more excited for a HBG follow-up, because I am trash with bowguns and want to be better.
Appreciate it! And yes, the HBG one will definitely need to touch on the many complicated aspects of HBG gameplay. So many ammo types and build variations...enough to make my head spin!
Finally! Just made a tigrex hammer build from your last video!!!
On to great sword you go!
@@Matadurr 💪🏿💪🏿
Like and sub in the first minute, that introduction had me so enthralled!...Now to actually try and learn how to not get my ass handed to me ^.^
You’ve got this!
Started the video off with the greatest GS play in monhun history. What a guy.
Que introdução de vídeo charmosa
Great video and awsome hunting clips dude!!How about a video about the lance or gunlance next? I think that would be very interesting to see :))
Keep it up and your channel will blow up with the release of the upcoming game!
Lance is on my shortlist for Sunbreak! And yeah the hope is to get out at least two more guides before Sunbreak, then update those four videos with short addendums before tackling new weapons.
Dude that intro was beyond godlike
Insane gameplay
YEAA IT'S HEREEEE
Hammer, Great Sword then Heavy Bowgun. I see you are also a lover of charging up the biggest attacks. Amazing videos man.
Big numbers…gets those neurons firing.
Okay, fuck that was a solid badass intro
great video as always. I feel like I'm obligated to pick up GS now with these beautiful builds. also that poison greatsword build looks pretty sick I wonder how you came up with that ;)
I almost didn't read your username...thanks again for the Sieglinde suggestion. If more monsters in the game were weak to poison, the Chameleos one would be the pick, but poison is only really advantageous against Kusha, Tobi, and Basarios. And...most people don't enjoy fighting those last two anyway.
I mean both are good in their own way, chammy being more status focused and rathian more raw focused
Ima hummer main with great sword hunting partner. Your builds are right in target
The intro to this video made me involuntarily like and subscribe. Please tell me you'll be doing all the weapons? Looking forward to SnS!
All the weapons? No way, unless I magically get extra time each day to put towards this series. 😅 I do plan on picking up SnS in Sunbreak though, so be ready for that!
I'm pretty sure that intro just convert a bunch of people into greatsword main
Then I have succeeded.
This looks fantastic, I’m hoping you’ll be doing heavy or lightbowguns soon. 😊
(Check out the teaser after the end screen… 😅)
Amazing vid as always! 2 questions, how long do these videos take to make on average and what other weapons do plan on doing? From what I remember from your mhw guides you only did the ones you were comfortable with.
Glad you enjoyed! I admittedly spend way, way too much time on these videos. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with other build guides I see that release the day of or week of a new release, but I’m always disappointed with the gameplay used as B-roll. With my Build a Better Hunter series, I set out to use consistently high-quality gameplay clips, and those take a long time to capture (the final Valstrax clip with the blast proc occurring with a TCS? That took about 5 hours to capture). So to answer your first question, including capturing footage, optimizing and testing the builds, scripting and recording the audio, and editing everything together…it’s easily 200-300 hours per video. For this one it was about 60 hours for the intro alone…
For the other weapons…well, that’s a bit of a secret. I will say that I will be trying to branch out more, especially once Sunbreak is out and the game is “complete”.
@@Matadurr If it makes a difference, your dedication earned you a sub. Really good stuff, and I appreciate the work you put in. As for secrets, the idea of seeing other weapons written up this way would be... music... to my ears.
@@colinmcillece9646 it does make a difference! From the start of this I have only organically grown my channel. Seems like it's starting to pay off, as with meaningful engagement on the videos, I *think* I'm starting to get put into the algorithm more consistently.
And hmm...I see what you did there. I really, really want to make HH work. I hope in Sunbreak they add another performance mode that more closely brings it in line with the slow and methodical playstyle in Iceborne...but it isn't likely. I still hope to get the groove of it eventually for a build guide. But man, Capcom just completely turned HH on its head in Rise, it is difficult to work with nowadays.
@@Matadurr See, I had HOPED there was some secret to HH that I had just missed, and that there were people out there like you making it awesome. Hopefully it gets its due in sunbreak. Until then, I'll look forward to your next release.
@@colinmcillece9646 yeah the unfortunate part of HH is that Capcom radically changed it to appeal to more hunters (it was the least used weapon in World/Iceborne along with the Lance). While lots of new people now play it…the classic methodical playstyle is pretty much gone now. Sad state to see.
I hope someday i get to feel the raw satisfaction that first clip most have given you to land
So many hours of prep for that sequence…
Awesome vid! May I ask what music was at the end screen?
End screen is the Ibushi "Breath of Ire" Dance remix, official one from Capcom too!
Capcom seriously needs to hire you to do their weapon cinematics. I've had to have watched the intro maybe a dozen times and it gets me hyped for the GS ... a weapon I don't even play .. every time.
Perhaps I’ll tweet this intro at them too… 😄
@@Matadurr You totally should and at the monster hunter twitter. I bet they'd love it.
Amazing video. Great work, one of the best guides i have saw in youtube. What is the cool dark mode builder u use in the video??
mhrbuilder.com , it’s a great resource for visualizing builds. Also, thanks!
good weapon guide very detailed now let’s get a hunting horn guide please and thank you sir , im playing mnk on pc and my hunts ain’t going as planned tryin to pick it up on the fly 🙃
Yeah I’ll still be sticking with controller on PC. Camera movement is so twitchy with mouse. I may do Hunting Horn in Sunbreak, really hoping they bring back at least an option for the old style like in Iceborne. I *still* haven’t managed to get into the weapon in Rise, sadly.
That opening was as good as the MHW spinning bludgeon to the charging tigrex
That style is exactly what I was going for!
The narration in the intro feels like one of those s.p.e.c.i.a.l cinematics from fallout
LOVE THE POISON BUILD!
Hope I pronounced it right. ;)
I went N64 on Christmas morning hype on that intro!!!!
NIN-TEN-DO SIXTY FOOOOUUURRRR
Great vid! Do SwitchAxe next
That ones on the list to learn, likely in Sunbreak.
This is an INSANE guide!! I thought I had it all with my GS build. I think the highest I've ever gotten with a +6 critical eye and +4 attack is 800. Seeing the 1k+ hits here made me SHOOK!! 😵💫😳😳
Yeah once you get to the point that you can guarantee crits, it’s just a matter of boosting attack as much as you can and going for those weakspots!
i suck at this game but man, your gameplay just blows my mind
Keep at it! The secret to getting good at GS is…you just try to suck a little less every day. Never lets me down!
Intro is so unreall
Hey man, we're still waiting for the HBG build video. Thanks!!
I will have an update post on the community tab on Sunday, the short of it is that I have all b roll ready to go (over 600 clips) for well over 20 builds. It’s down to script writing/recording, scripting the opening sequence, then editing everything together. The tough part is I don’t have a laptop, and I have multiple work trips in May that are going to steal editing time away from me. :(
@@Matadurr oh wow! First of all thank you for taking the time to reply to my comment. Thanks for all the efforts! I love your videos. I'm using your hammer builds as i am a hammer main myself, and now dabbling in HBG so i was very interested in your video. Good luck and thanks again. Stay safe sir!
HBG NEXT? can't wait
The format of ur videos its really superior man, if u could share some tips o make a video about HOW TO play greatsword in multiplayer, that would be awesome, i cant find any video whit multiplayer information for GS Style.
Oh man. Great Sowrd in multiplayer is tough. I’ve found you really just have to adapt the basic principles of the weapon in a different way. So you know how solo you need to learn monster attack patterns and punishes? Well in multiplayer you basically do the same thing, but have to now learn new punishes depending on how the monster is attacking and who. It’s easily twice as hard to stay on the monster in multiplayer unless everyone is syncing up perfectly. It is, however, easier to get tail cuts in multiplayer! So definitely focus on that first.
great video didn't know rageslash has a super armor
Yeah it works on most attacks, but attacks that launch you (think strong wind attacks from Kushala or Ibushi) will still launch even if charging your Rage Slash.
The best in history mhr edit🥹
Going to redo the opening scene with the new Switch Skill Swap and Swap Evade?
Would love to see it
Redo? Nooooo I don’t have that kind of time. But, it will make it easier for future intros to feature more switch skills without mods!
I'm on my way through Rise on PC, I already played it through on Switch, but wanted the better performance on PC so yeah. I have something to look forward to building now
i would love to see a Hunting Horn Video of this ♥
HH radically changed in Rise. I’ve had an extremely difficult time getting into the groove of it. I’m hoping Sunbreak adds some changes to bring it more in like with the methodical HH I’m used to from World/Iceborne, but we’ll have to wait and see!
Still learning this weapon theirs alot more then meets the eye, what is that charge move that hits monsters 3 or so times i cant seem to figure that one out
That’s the Leaping Wide Slash. It can be performed only after tackles, and the amount of hits it can do is determined by the charge level from before the tackle. If on Switch, I believe it’s the A button.
i know this is late but im learnng how to use GS.. how do you charge and rotate the camera at the same time?
I don't know about M/K controls on PC, but for controller...you really can't with the standard grip. If you adapt a claw-type grip you can, but what I do is often use my left thumb and cross over to the right joystick to move the camera if I absolutely have to. It's awkward, but it beats learning a whole new controller holding style.
this into is sick wtf
I know you just added some touches of time warp and pan and zooms in post with AE, or whatever software you use. But the way the intro came out was wild.
How long did you have to no hud fail that until you pulled out a clip like that to spice up in post? That intro should be clipped out and shared on Reddit or Twitter or whatever. It should be viral.
Yeah I recorded the intro sequence at .25x speed, back when this game was only available on Switch. I used an overclocking/frame rate unlock soft mod to get around 45fps, so it was pretty smooth footage to work with to begin with.
The Magnamalo sequence I think took over 100 hours of attempts alone, if not more. The biggest challenges I faced with it were proper positioning of Magnamalo, as well as timing the dunk perfectly without clipping. I did already share the opening on Reddit and it was received pretty well, but I don’t use Twitter much any more. My bazel hammer sequence didn’t get much of any traction on there so I just didn’t pursue it any further.
Thank you though! These opening cinematic sequences are a lot of effort! I wish I could make a mod that allowed me to script the order of monster attacks as well as their starting position, it would make them all much more obtainable.
@@Matadurr damn dude. Respect the artform. Maybe focus on a series of videos that are only these highly cinematic takedowns.
I imagine if you have rise on PC now it should only make it easier to get the clips cleaner and faster.
I don’t have the kind of viral following SunhiLegend has to be able to focus *solely* on these kind of cinematic clips, unfortunately. If I kept the script shorter to something like 3-5 actions per clip instead of these multi-action sequences (the Magnamalo clip had about 25 script timings in it), I could see doing a montage of sorts.
But yes! Thankfully on PC the scene tab in REFramework functions properly and now all particle effects also scale with time. This means other monsters heavy on particle effects are now open to attempt clips on (Valstrax is a good example). The only thing I’m missing on PC that I used to have on Switch are mods that allow me to set individual status thresholds. So that way I could consistently script KOs, paras, etc.
@@Matadurr hope you keep making content. Your stuff is very good.
Just for clarification, how did u adamant charge slash in the beginning scene while following up with the hunting edge after? I might be misremembering things but don't those switch skills take up the same slot?
Regardless, thanks for another quality video!
I forgot to add that little blurb in the description, will edit it now. I was using a soft-mod during the intro sequence that allowed me to swap between all switch skills on-the-fly. I was hoping to actually finish the clip with a rage slash, but Magna's sabertooth transformation made me improvise my script a little. Glad you enjoyed!
This aged really well, huh?
You should be doing the weapon trailer with those godlike level cinematics
Capcom, I’m available! 😁
Only 5months wait. Nice
Yeah, moving to another state and having my belongings delayed really put a damper on what I could do for the channel. :-/
The weapon I wish I could use, But I'm kind of uhh. Not good with it. Hammer I managed to wrap my head around since it simple a bit. But Greatsword the timing and the changing just throws me off.
That was on the Switch, now I'm on PC and using Gunlance Blast dash is fun when you don't go flying into a monster attack.
Can't wait for Heavy Bow gun because I dropped it on the Switch for Hammer maybe I might pick it up on PC.
You may have a better time starting out GS with the punishing draw set, since it better rewards initial draw charged timings. The key is to think of fights more as turn-based battles, where you find your times to freely attack during monster recovery animations.
For HBG, yeah with easier key bindings you may have a smoother time crafting ammo and such, I’m hoping I can get a mod that disables the ammo/special ammo parts of the HUD without disabling the target reticle. As it is you have to have either all three on screen or none.
How did you do both ACS and Hunting Edge in that intro? Was there a clever edit or cut at some point?
I mention this in the description. This sequence was more a cinematic showcase than indicative of good gameplay practices. I used a soft mod to allow swapping all switch skills on the fly. I actually wanted to end the sequence with a Rage Slash too, but Magna had other plans with his sabertooth mode transformation.
bro that valtrax attack let me half blind lol
Dumb question, What armor set is that, it looks like the sinister set but..not
Not a dumb question at all, it’s the Sinister Seal set, aka the Magnamalo Amiibo armor.
Wait im confused
How where you able to use hunting edge and adamant Charged slash at the same time ?
Soft mod on Switch. Thankfully this will no longer be needed in Sunbreak with the switch skill swap move. Should be fun!
@@Matadurr oh dang right
Hopefully i will be able to fly through the air like you did in the Intro XD
Is this footage from the switch or PC? It looks much smoother than switch, and if it is PC I'm curious how you have the Magna Layered armor on it. :o
It is footage from Switch! I used custom firmware to slow the game down to .25x speed, and manually sped up sections as needed as well as adding the sound effects back in manually. Fingers crossed the mod community steps up and gets that armor to PC, stat!
Wait in that first scene you used adamant slash then hunting edge how
Long answer in video description, short answer: soft mods.
What's the vocaloid song at the end screen.
It’s Capcom’s official Ibushi theme dance remix!
Huge question that has been bothering me, what layered armor is that?
Magnamalo amiibo layered armor. It’s now available on Nexus mods if you’re on PC!
@@Matadurr :D *Happy Hunter noises*
The switch skills has killed me more than any of my mistakes. When you accidentally change your skills. It makes the game unenjoyabe.
Yeah everyone has their own style for sure!
Now with the oc release of Rise I plan to get it as soon as I get a controller for my PC. I'm thinking of getting a steam controller due to bad experiences with Xbox controllers, but not too sure. Might just look at my options to see what'll keep me hunting longest
I played the demo on PC with an Xbox controller via USB. It was a very nice experience and a step up from the Switch "Pro" Controller (why oh WHY are all the buttons soft-press on the Pro Controller?!). However I'm using the previous-gen Xbox controllers, the new ones that come with the Series X/S have weird joysticks to me. Hope you can find a good solution!
@@Matadurr I've come to a decision, imma buy a good Xbox one controller and some rechargeable batteries. Then the monsters of rise will taste the assortment of bullshrimp I'll toss their way!
@@plaguedoc1926 best of luck!
What armor you using look so cool
Magnamalo Amiibo armor. Hope it can be modded in to the PC version soon!
THAT FUCKING INTROOO
I guess idk the different play styles of GS could you describe them? Cuz you said "40 hits of blue making it a contender for tackle" I thought everyone tackled at all opportunities
No worries you’re fine! The key word in the phrase is “guard tackle”, not just tackle. Guard tackle uses up sharpness whenever it connects with an attack or roar (as well as if it hits the monster), and if it blocks a heavy monster attack, it will use up a whopping 10 hits of sharpness. That’s why I don’t suggest using it unless you have a lot of blue sharpness to work with.
@El Matadurr OH gotcha, I haven't seen many greatsword player play like you do so it's super cool to see something new. I figured everyone just did the roll tackle > SGS> TCS And repeat. I haven't seen people use hunting edge as you do so I'm going to be trying to change my play style to be more fluid.
@@Dadspicable yeah there’s a certain…umm…fixation, with many people only playing Monster Hunter in the most meta way possible. I get the attitude in doing that, as it makes for fast hunts. But relying on just one strategy gets really boring after a while, and Rise’s GS is crazy versatile compared even to World. Hunting edge and guard tackle aren’t meta (though, scripted Valstrax speed runs all use hunting edge…), but they each have their unique uses that make for an alternate and enjoyable playstyle. It’s *really* satisfying pulling off a guard tackle skip (monster attacks on first guard tackle, letting you immediately go to a TCS/rage slash), as well as successfully executing a hunting edge on a moving target.
@El Matadurr Yup you convinced me. For most weapons I just intuitively learned how I liked playing but GS is crazy methodical so I had looked up guides and such. But you're right, its crazy versatile compared to say MH4U. I've been trying to get better with GS so I guess now I found the calling. Thanks so much for your videos man, and for replying.
I feel kikda obligated to pick up Greatsword, but I've gone so far down the dual blades hole that I feel not even the Levi spin across an entire Dalamadur would get me out.
Maybe when Sunbreak drops... Maybe.
Thoughts on the trailer, by the way?
There’s nothing wrong in sticking with a weapon you’re comfortable with. But if you do want to jump down the GS rabbit hole too, you may find some great enjoyment with focusing on singular big hits instead of a flurry of cuts.
The Three Lords trailer was fantastic, I hope we get a Great Gobbi monster from those derpy little goblin raptors. I’m holding out hope that Capcom brings back Ahtal-Ka in some form. Since Garangolm=frankenstein’s monster, Lunagaron=werewolf, and Mazleno=Dracula, Ahtal Ka would be the perfect stand-in for the “mummy” monster trope to complete the four main western monster mythologies.
I started out with Hammer so I'm all too familiar with BIG BONK, but it wouldn't hurt to go above and beyond and absolutely nuking a tail or twenty.
Actually took your Tigrex Hammer build and ran with it, save for the Talisman considering how BS melding is in this game. Thanks for giving me a goal to work towards!
@@General_C glad to help! And yeah, tail cuts can get pretty addictive.
If you want to still feel like you’re using a hammer, try Rajang’s GS. It’s essentially a giant ungabunga club.
Grabbed the greatsword in Iceborne and haven't looked back. Shattersplitter with Velkhana Essense alongside Velkhana Armor and 2 piece has given me some of the most fun hunts alongside a GS main hunting partner.
I've hit a 3000 damage TCS already on KT and those horns never stood a chance. Glad I pulled myself out of the pit and diversified my choice of weapons.
See ya in Elgado! We're only 4 days out now!
@@General_C the new elemental scaling changes to GS in Sunbreak may finally make elemental GS viable. Can’t wait to see the endgame.
