Late to the party and sorry to ruin it, but at the time of the video's release there was a challenge in MCC where landing an assassination on an Elite from an otherwise lethal height would unlock a special helmet. This is a direct reference to an achievement in OG Halo Reach called "If They Came to Hear Me Beg" with the same action. Assassinating this particular Elite is the fastest way to grind it since the level start checkpoint is right there, but theoretically you could do this on other levels. Before you ask, no the achievement in OG Reach didn't reward you with anything except 25 GamerScore.

It's quite likely in fact. Chief was an all-rounder, a level headed leader, but the main thing he had going for him was straight luck. Most other Spartans had something they were better than the Chief at, especially the ones very specialised towards certain aspects of combat.

@@VarangianGuard13 Look I'm sorry but halo is what ruined fps games, every game wanted to do the 2 weapon limit because of halo, everyone wanted to do the shitty turret section because of halo, everyone wanted the melee to an instant kill because of halo. This of course lead to every fps game at the time trying to copy what halo did which lead to shit like call of duty and battlefield games that are fine, but are bland and repetitive. Plus back in the mid 2000s to mid 2010s was when the PS3 was made and ended up being such a hassle to develop game for that many game studios ended up shutting down. Plus the xbox 360 also came out around that time, and the xbox 360 was of course poorly designed to the point where it would overheat and brick itself. This is what is know as the "Red Ring Of Death". Anyways those are just the main issues I have with halo and the games that came out around mid 2000s to mid 2010s. If you would like more examples let me know I will provide.

I wish his upload schedule could be a little tighter just to see more of him around though I understand he wouldn't want to dip quality even a little. I've watched this video 6 or so times since it came out. Very hard to fault batcher for being results driven while making instant classics and getting millions of views. Just takes a lot of his time, I'd imagine 60-80 hours as a total guess with getting the footage, audio, edit, and motion capture.

That's kind of why I've been thinking about going the hipster route, but then you see the prices of some of the really good old games and it gets kind of terrifying. Upside being, apart from nintendo, a number of those -good- more successful old games usually find re-releases on newer hardware, like Reach, for instance.
I actually still own a perfect condition copy of Halo reach for xbox and that game was more fun than half the games out there even if I was playing with only one other person.
So for context on Jorge, he and Master Chief were trained together. The entire rest of Noble team was pulled from the following generation of Spartans with cheaper armor, training, and augmentations. “Disposable heroes” as they’re called in the books.

My favorite thing about Reach is that all of the shortcomings that people hate about it are explained away in the lore. Weapon bloom happens because you are basically the Aldi brand Spartan, made on the cheap and not as effective as the Spartan II’s. The UNSC vehicles are flawed. That’s because Reach is a military experimental facility and a good portion of the stuff laying around is unfinished prototypes. It’s brilliant.

I am pretty sure most of the vehicles we were using were not "experimental" by any means. Also the weapon bloom? It has no excuse at all tbh. Those Spartan 3s were wearing mark 5 Mjolnir NOT the cheap ass SPI armor. So the bloom is nothing more than a meaningless gameplay feature.
To be fair, there really isn't much of a "meta" strategy in reach anyway. The main strat is just to aim for the head and hope you land more shots than they do. Or if you die, hope your ragdoll is funny.
There is the little game where you gotta figure out whether it's better to finish the other guy off by a melee or does he seem good enough making that a risky idea so that you gotta act like you're gonna melee and close up but back at the last nano-second and score a headshot while he tries a melee
When Jorge picks you up with one arm I just kinda cocked my head like "if you can lift half a ton with one arm and like no effort then I think I'm the one who should be sacrificing myself, Jorge could just like throw a wraith into orbit like goddamn".

@@louthinator Eh, not quite. Spartan I's were proto spartans, as in they had fewer modifications, less armor, etc. They were basically an experiment. Spartan II's were absolute units. They were kidnapped at a young age and selected for genetic superiority. Better modifications, better suits, better everything. Spartan III's were basically meant to be disposable heroes made for the human-covenant war. Still good when it comes to modifications, but they were made up of war orphans and conscripts, and their armor sucked. The only exceptions were Spartan III's that performed incredibly well. These were put into special squads and given Mjolnir armor. Spartan IV's absolutely suck compared to everything before them.
Quick lore about Jorge. He is a SPARTAN-II like Master Chief. During his first day of training, a trainer mispronounced his name by calling him by the Spanish pronunciation. Jorge quickly corrected the trainer only to be shocked and reprimanded for "back talking".
6:35 The funniest thing is that Jorge is only 2 inches taller than Chief. Also, the reason they’re both that tall is because they’re Spartan 2’s, while the rest of Noble team are Spartan 3’s.
I think the reason Jorge was so big is because he’s a Spartan II, like Master Chief. The other ones are Spartan III’s, they have less augmentations compared to the II’s but there’s more of them.
Because Spartan IIIs are sent on suicide missions, initially. They were designed to be cheaper and more expendable. Didn't have shielding in the books, either. Just camo cloaks. Meanwhile Spartan IIs and their armor are expensive as shit. I think in 2 it's mentioned that the Mjolnir armor costs as much as a destroyer class ship?

@@celas1959 Yep: a Spartan II costs as much as a battleship. That being said I think the lore of Noble team and other Spartan III's explains how some exceptional members were pulled off of their suicide missions to perform special tasks and were given Mjolnir armor.

@@VarangianGuard13 Look I'm sorry but halo is what ruined fps games, every game wanted to do the 2 weapon limit because of halo, everyone wanted to do the shitty turret section because of halo, everyone wanted the melee to an instant kill because of halo.
This of course lead to every fps game at the time trying to copy what halo did which lead to shit like call of duty and battlefield games that are fine, but are bland and repetitive.
Plus back in the mid 2000s to mid 2010s was when the PS3 was made and ended up being such a hassle to develop game for that many game studios ended up shutting down.
Plus the xbox 360 also came out around that time, and the xbox 360 was of course poorly designed to the point where it would overheat and brick itself. This is what is know as the "Red Ring Of Death".
Anyways those are just the main issues I have with halo and the games that came out around mid 2000s to mid 2010s.

I came back to this video because I remembered "We about to have 16 gamers in the campaign" When I realized you could probably create a similar experience to that in Halo Infinite's forge.
Jorge is significantly larger than the other Spartans in Noble because he’s a Spartan-II and the others are Spartan-IIIs. He’s quite a bit older and significantly more heavily augmented.
He's larger than most of the IIs, too.

I've watched this video 6 or so times since it came out. Very hard to fault batcher for being results driven while making instant classics and getting millions of views. Just takes a lot of his time, I'd imagine 60-80 hours as a total guess with getting the footage, audio, edit, and motion capture.

I actually still own a perfect condition copy of Halo reach for xbox and that game was more fun than half the games out there even if I was playing with only one other person.
So for context on Jorge, he and Master Chief were trained together. The entire rest of Noble team was pulled from the following generation of Spartans with cheaper armor, training, and augmentations. “Disposable heroes” as they’re called in the books.
So Spartans 1s didn’t do well but Spartan 3s did shit as well making Spartan 2s peak? If I understand correctly or are Spartan 1 and 2s prime?

Noble were some of the few SIIIs outfitted with proper Mjolnir at the time. Most SIIIs wore SPI armor, weaker than Mjolnir, but had cloaking.

My favorite thing about Reach is that all of the shortcomings that people hate about it are explained away in the lore. Weapon bloom happens because you are basically the Aldi brand Spartan, made on the cheap and not as effective as the Spartan II’s. The UNSC vehicles are flawed. That’s because Reach is a military experimental facility and a good portion of the stuff laying around is unfinished prototypes. It’s brilliant.

@@louthinator Eh, not quite. Spartan I's were proto spartans, as in they had fewer modifications, less armor, etc. They were basically an experiment. Spartan II's were absolute units. They were kidnapped at a young age and selected for genetic superiority. Better modifications, better suits, better everything. Spartan III's were basically meant to be disposable heroes made for the human-covenant war. Still good when it comes to modifications, but they were made up of war orphans and conscripts, and their armor sucked. The only exceptions were Spartan III's that performed incredibly well. These were put into special squads and given Mjolnir armor. Spartan IV's absolutely suck compared to everything before them.
That's actually a common misconception. Master Chief is pretty much the same size as noble six, So Jorge is just naturally beefy

I think the reason Jorge was so big is because he’s a Spartan II, like Master Chief. The other ones are Spartan III’s, they have less augmentations compared to the II’s but there’s more of them.

Because Spartan IIIs are sent on suicide missions, initially. They were designed to be cheaper and more expendable. Didn't have shielding in the books, either. Just camo cloaks.
Meanwhile Spartan IIs and their armor are expensive as shit. I think in 2 it's mentioned that the Mjolnir armor costs as much as a destroyer class ship?
I also think but I’m not entirely sure that it was mentioned in like background lore that Jorge was also bigger then most Spartan ll’s. Like he was just a big dude lol
@@celas1959 Yep: a Spartan II costs as much as a battleship. That being said I think the lore of Noble team and other Spartan III's explains how some exceptional members were pulled off of their suicide missions to perform special tasks and were given Mjolnir armor.
Almost two years later and this pops back up in my recommended. Great vid. Casual reminder that, canonically, both the Chief and Noble 6 could dunk on Jorge, as they are/were the only two Spartans ever designated as "Hyper Lethal Vectors"

Jorge is so chonky because he's a Spartan-II, like Chief. The rest of the Spartans in Noble are Spartan-IIIs. IIIs aren't as augmented as IIs.
Noble Team is also 12 years old, since Spartan 3 augmentation make you age super fast.
No Jorge is just a really large spartan and noble team is the same height as master chief.
