Hello Bonnie. I just wanted to thank you for sharing this pattern and tutorial. It went so fast and you are so easy to understand. Take care and bless you for sharing.
Such an easy pattern and awesome looking hat. Was done in less than 15 minutes. Thank you for being such a great teacher, easy to understand, you explain without over explaining and making it boring and losing interest or forgetting where a person is at. Perfect. Need to look and see if you do mittens!
This was my first crochet project that I completed and I made a cap for my little brother and he absolutely loved it! Making another one for my elder brother now and my mom is looking forward to learning from your videos too! Thank you so much Bonnie, you are such a wonderful teacher 💜
Thank You so much for your tutorial. I have Breast Cancer and with the cold months coming ahead I was looking for a pattern on a beanie for my head. I have lost my hair due to Chemo. I will use your pattern to make myself a Pink Beanie so that my head will be warm until I am done with my chemo. Thank You Thank You Thank You for such an easy way to make this beanie. And I really like the way you finished it off with the fpdc and the bpdc. And the Pom Pom just added that extra touch. God Bless You for what you are doing and showing us beginners. 🙏🏼😇👏🏼
Thanks a bunch! I sure don’t miss the seam down the middle of the hat, I also love that you tell us how many stitches we should have that’s where I always mess up at, thank you
I've watched many videos on crocheting a hat, but your's is one of the best! Very easy to understand and informative. Thank you. Just made this and it turned out beautiful!
This is a great pattern to learn to read and follow along especially since I don't read patterns very good! Thanks for the great instructions and video!
I've now made two beanies by following your pattern 😊 I'm so grateful for your video as I'm a complete beginner and the written pattern was a bit daunting but I love that you've explained everything here and didn't assume that we'd already know certain things ☺ I've never done bpdc/fpdc before but now I've mastered it, thanks to you! I made my second beanie slightly longer so I could fold the ribbing up and it's turned out pretty good. I will say, as a complete beginner, it's probably best to keep using your stitch markers during the ribbing rounds as I lost count at first on my first beanie but I eventually figured it out 😅 You're a great teacher, thank you so much! 🥰

Yay no more ugly seam ! I love this hat its easy as long as you make sure you have the same amount of stitches by counting stitches in the end of the row, Thank you forever! ♥️
I really like this hat Bonnie. What I'm really happy about is the ribbing. I'm not a fan of doing a band of BP either sc or hdc. Call me lazy or whatever but when I see that kind of band I pass it by, just seems like it takes forever. ❤
Hi I wanted to thank you for this tutorial. I've made a few hats before but always looking to improve my beginners skills. I really like the cuff made with the front post back post. Hi, Bonnie! Thank you so much for making this video so easy to understand for a beginner! I printed your instructions and used them this past year each time I made beanies. I donated a huge box of beanie/scarf sets to a local charity at Christmastime, and it was a highlight of the whole year for me. I LOVE your teaching style, and I LOVE the way the beanies are so easy to make and beautiful when finished. This coming year, I only want to make beanies for children of all ages and sizes and donate them to local hospitals. Hi, Bonnie. I am just working on your Easy Breezy Beginner's Crochet Beanie and found that Round 5 pattern instructions does not indicate that at the end of row 5, there are 2 stitches left after the repeat. The video indicates that the last 2 stitches are 2dc in the first stitch and 1dc in the last stitch to have 60 stitches in the round. If I hadn't followed the video, I would not have known what to do with those last 2 stitches. Thank you for the lovely pattern. It's one that I will use frequently.
Most craft stores now carry pompoms like this. I did see some at Joanne Fabrics just yesterday. If you don't have a craft store near you, most have online stores now where you can order these.
What are the instructions for a baby beanie, 3-6 months? I watched your video on the easy breezy hat, I haven't tried it yet, but it looked much simpler than any other I watched.
This isn't sized for a baby's head, but basically make fewer increases and finish with fewer stitches in the outer rounds. You may be able to guesstimate this.
Hello! Love your tutorial and want to start one beanie now, but I don't have a 5.5mm hook. Only 5.00mmm and 6.00mm. Which one would you suggest? Thank you.
Great question Valia! Let me ask you a question: do you tend to crochet more tightly or more loosely? If you tend to crochet tightly, go with the 6.00 mm; if you tend to crochet loosely, go with the 5.00 mm. There should be enough ease in this design to make either of these hooks work.
@@BonnieBayCrochet Thank you so very much! I took a risk and started with the 6 and it's beautiful! I had made 4 hats in the last week and none was ok. This is fantastic! Love you lots! Be well and blessed.
Hi, I'm making this for my daughter (age 6). She would like two colours in it, how do I do the colour change and at what row would you suggest the change? I have just finished row 6 (skipping row 5 as per the youth instructions). Thanks in advance :)
I would recommend finding another pattern using DK weight yarn. Another option is working an additional increase row on this hat before working the rows that maintain a constant stitch count. That may be enough to make the DK yarn work for you.
Bonnie thank you and blessings! This is absolutely the best tutorial I've seen for the best beanie cap with no seams. Thank you. I have finished my beanie it looks great
@@pamdavies8082 That's wonderful!
I tried to print the pattern from Ravelry so I could make it for my daughter, but a message came up saying it’s no longer available.
Tracy Hillman that’s because my online store has moved to LoveCrafts.com. The link is in the video description and very much available!
Omg!!! I love it! But where is the pattern please?
In my LoveCrafts store here: www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/p/easy-breezy-beginners-beanie-crochet-pattern-by-bonnie-barker. I usually put these links in the video description.
nice
This is a great pattern and video you made! Thank you! The only think I did different was I went down to a 5mm for the brim, just to make it a bit tighter and i didnt add the pompom.
