Love you being honest about your opinion on the new M2. A lot of car journalists will say very ambiguous things like “it’s growing on me” ,”it looks better in person” etc.
but deep down inside, we all have a preference.

My understanding of the "DSG farts" that the car makes when you lift/shift is that they come from the (lack of) blowoff valve. The car ueses valvetronic to simultaneously open the intake valves and the exhaust valves off throttle to blow the pressure wave through the cylinders. It then hits the exhaust side of the turbo and helps keep it spooled. From the outside you hear the air flowing through the cylinders.

the interior looks so freaking good. I think it's a return to the E46 type style. The new M2 looks so much better.
The seating position is my favorite thing about BMW's. I drive trucks the majority of the time so I think it just feels more natural transition. I also love being about to see right in front of the car vs something like the Supra GR.
You were the one that made me really interested in cars, especially BMWs. This has made me motivated to do well in life and follow my dreams, so I one time will own one of the amazing cars.
Yeah except for the fact that bmw no longer exists so you'll never be able to buy a new bmw now. I had the same dreams and I'm almost old enough to afford it and then bmw decided to stop making good cars.

@@jamesshives5679 That's the understatement of the year. They make the ugliest cars on the market now, and the interiors are hideous as well too now. The only thing still bmw is the engine but they are all stuck in terrible bodies. The M2 weighs 3,800 lbs now which is the same as the previous M4s. Absolutely ridiculous. All they make essentially are big inflated heavy cars. Bmw no longer exists in my book. It is an insult to everything bmw achieved to call what is being produced now bmw.
Edit: the car in this video was one of the last real BMWs ever made.
@@username8644 I'm not entirely in disagreement. I am only saying, based on what journalists/drivers are saying about the new m2, m3, and m4, that they are still very good performance cars. Jackie Ding recently got an m2 as his new time attack car, and it looks quite impressive performance-wise. Is it my taste? No; I agree with you on that, but we can also recognize when a car is good at what it does.

But it's not a bmw, and the original comment specifically mentioned always wanting a bmw and that's how I've felt ever since I was a little kid, buying a new "bmw" does not fulfill any of the dreams I had since it's not a bmw. That's it.

Man, that 60/40 folding rear seat has screwed me in the past too with these cars. In Europe apparently you can get 40/20/40 with the F87, but not in the states.

I have a friend just with M Coil overs and on 255 - 275 RE71rs and the car is on another level of grip. Tell the owner just to do the coils and tires and let him make some videos about that!! Good review

It's a toss up to me. The CT4 V BW is a great machine too. Its more practical but the M2 has the better powertrain to me
