Dude I'm so jealous. I brought my M2C home on Valentines day 2019 & due to Mtn bike mishap & back injury - my M2C is sitting in garage w/ 2500 miles. I miss driving her so much!
Manual 2020 m2c here, daily drive it as well coming from a 2012 STi. It’s almost been a year just hitting 15k miles and the power still gets me everytime. I got bilstein pss10’s going on soon.
I have wanted a Supra since the very first moment I saw a MKIV as a kid. I waited years and years and years for "the next supra" while saving my money. Well. It came out and it didn't have a M/T. So I bought an M2C instead. No regrets.
I recall in Savagegeese’s review Jack was saying at one point that this car isn’t that fast. I couldn’t disagree more. Especially seeing this pov, the way it pulls at highway speeds is crazy. It has more than enough power, and it’s the right size!! Awesome video!
It depends what you compare it to. If you compare it to an M240i, which starts at $45k, then that is $17k difference compared to the M2 starting at $62k. For that difference in money, the M240i is very fast. Depending on how an M240i starts a race with an M2, the M240i actually pulls ahead of the M2 for quite a bit, but it does lose out on top end eventually. Either way, if you just care for every day driving, 0-60 and such, then the M2 isn't much different compared to the M240i. Back to my point, this means that the M2 isn't actually THAT fast compared to its M240i counterpart for $17k less.
btp589 the $17k dosent only go to straight line speed though, it also goes to handling, steering response, different transmission, brakes, tires, exclusivity, which are all factors that add up in the driving experience.
Best thing I’ve noticed about m2c is that there pretty good passenger room for a a two door. The m2c is best described as a puppy who keeps on begging for more.
@Methods trust me I believe you driving any manual is more rewarding. I've only driven owned manuals. Current one seeking to land in by closing deal on it Monday with a loan check is a manual. Mazda 3 S modified.

Seriously THE best modern M car BMW makes. This includes the new hideous looking 2021 M3/M4. BMW got everything right with the M2 Competition. That DCT is certainly faster and shifts are instantaneous. With the DCT being replaced by a basic ZF in the new M3, the DCT might be the collectors and pure fastest way to go.
I own the M2C in manual and I actually think it’s better as a DCT. More precise driving experience, not losing boost when you shift etc. the manual transition is not at the level of the GT350, CTR, Porsche, Honda s2k etc
I have a ‘20 M2C in Hockenheim Silver w/ DCT. Overall, really like the car, so I’ll give you the negatives: (1) Stereo is pathetic - I listen to rock & country and have to turn the Bass up to near full bars for it to sound balanced. (2) The wireless car charger that came w/ the Exec Package overheats my phone & charges brutally slow as to be wholly worthless. This is a well known problem; not just my iPhone. (3) The media interface is showing its age in terms of features & NAV resolution. Also, can’t get full screen CarPlay unless you get an aftermarket code that you upload via USB. (4) Muffler is hideous, but this was an easy fix: High-Temp black spray paint. Love manual transmissions, but I commute w/ it & came from a manual Caddy ATS-V. Decided I wasn’t going to torture myself any more.
