- The new AirPods are a very small product and we can accidentally drop them in water or in a washing machine so in this video I shared with you guys how to remove water from inside of the AirPods.

I don’t usually ever comment on anything but this really saved me. I dropped them in this big puddle and this was also my first “adult” purchase. Long story short this really works. Go to the previous video and click the link that says water ejection. However it will say that it is untrusted. To let the iPhone trust the app, go to settings , and scroll all the way down to “shortcuts”. It should be an “S” that’s colorful. It’ll say something like you can’t trust it till you run a short cut. So then go to the short cuts app and run a short cut. The easiest one is the location so Siri will give you your current location. Once you do that you’ll be able to trust the water ejection app. Then follow his instructions. Hope this was helpful. You don’t need an Apple Watch btw

it works so well !! i dropped one in a cup of water when i was setting them down without looking and it was quieter and more muffled than the other one. so i tried the shortcut out for like 2-3 minutes and it sound just as it did before!!! so happy because these things are expensive lol thank you!!!
I used desiccant and rice for mine when I dropped it in water, I put it in a sealed bag filled with rice and desiccant packets and it works wonders!
Can’t even figure out how to put the water eject thing on the menu. Let alone find it in the app
This worked!! Two days on rice and then got it to charge. Ran the shortcut about 20 times and then progressively the vibration became stronger and the sound quality got better. I then put my lips around side opening and blew into it and now it’s back to normal

Omg this is a life saver. I left my headphones in my pocket and threw them in the washer. I tried to see if they would still work and only 1 worked and it was really quiet. I was sceptical but like it actually works. Now it works in both ears and both play at the same volume. This is amazing!!!
