I just now dropped my airpod Pro Gen 2 into 3 ft of water inside of the dirty snow dump at our ice rink and took it out dried it off the paper towel and put it in front of a heater for about 5 minutes and it works fine immediately. I'm just leaving this comment for anybody watching this video and worried that it's hopeless if you don't have those silicone packets. I seriously cannot believe these things held up to that much water for so long because it took me a few minutes to get the big metal grate off of the snow dump and I thought these things were toast.
I only have one silica gel packet about that size and I put it in a small tightly closed container for a week. Is that enough? Should I let it sun dry as well? I haven’t put it back in the charging case yet because I’m scared
Glad it’s working again! Glad you were able to dry it in the sun for a bit. also leave it in the bag with the silica for at least 2 days to get any remain moisture out.
I dropped my air pod pros in the toilet while taking a shit for around 15 seconds they were fully emerged but I took them out got shit and toilet water all over the place got some soap and Lysol and used it to clean the left earpiece/headphone after I shook it to removed a decent amount of water then wrapped it in a towel and got shit on the towl then left it by the window for around maybe 7 minutes now it works fine just remember getting shit all over the place hey but on the bright side my headphone works and now smells like soap.!!!!
I put mines in the washer 😮 😢 put infront of fan for a hr there good
Ya, these things seem really water resistance so if they are not submerged for too long, your good.
Desiccant

it should be fine. First dry it as much as you can. you can also put rice in a bag with it if you have any. that should also absorb the moisture.
@@DDIY-Guy I let it sun dry as well for a couple of hours and it seems to be working the same as before, thanks!
